Everyone woke up easy even though it was early (so much to be excited about I guess!). We had 8:00 a.m. PS's at Chef Mickey's which we thought would be a great way to start off our first full day in Disney. We got the CM's a few minutes early and thankfully were taken right in and the fun began!!

The characters moved around nice and quickly so we never had to wait long to see them. The breakfast was fabulous. Had my first ever Krispy Kreme donut!

My youngest son, who is 7, was absolutely taken with the characters. Even the 10 year old enjoyed it (and got autographs) and I took pictures. But to see the joy and thrill on my 7 year old's face was priceless. He was so thrilled.

After CM's we headed right over to MK. We felt we had to MK on our first day. We loved it. We got there right as it opened at 9. We went right to Splash Mountain and walked right on. My boys loved this ride!! We did lots of different things that day at MK (some of which I might forget) but what I remember is: Buzz Lightyear's Space Spin (I have to say, this was pretty cool, my boys went nuts for it), we met a bunch of characters at MK (Lilo & Stich, Donald Duck, and a ton more). We did Pirates of the Caribbean (I have to say I didn't like this one ?? I thought the theme was a bit too dark, but JMHO.) We did a lot of the "site seeing" things and then headed back to POFQ for lunch and swimming and resting until our evening plans....

We had tickets for Hoop-Dee-Doo for the 7:15 p.m. show. We checked in and then went for our "pictures". Once we entered Pioneer Hall I wondered if we would be upstairs or if we would have good seats. As the waitress walked us up the right side of the main floor I thought "there is no way we have this good of seats, we must be going to a stairway to the balcony" but no, we had front row seats right next to the piano guy! We couldn't believe it. The bread and butter here was fantastic. I took a picture of my DS2 after eating ribs, he was covered! We all totally enjoyed this show and the "blonde" in the show said something that stuck with us all week and we kept saying every now and then later in the week to each other, remember when she kept saying "B". If you saw the show you know what I mean. For some reason that stuck with us! We liked our picture they took so we bought the family one. The Strawberry Shortcake was out of this world!! One part of the show the characters walk around and ask if anyone is celebrating an anniversary and since it was our 11th wedding anniversary during the vacation I raised my hand. They announced our anniversary (along with other people) and then made all the couples get up and dance to a song!! I was so embarassed, I wouldn't have raised my hand if I knew! But it was all in fun and we definitely enjoyed the HDD. We headed back and zonked out for the night again. :o

Belated Happy Anniversary - sounds like a perfect day to me - and fun for all - thanks for posting!
