Hello everyone!

Just wanted to write a post saying that I'm back home (got in yesterday evening) from Disney. This trip was what I'd call a rollercoaster. It had some really great moments and then some....not so great moments. However, all in all it was a wonderful time, and I was able to experience a ton of new things. My mother is already talking about another trip next year for her 50th and my brother's graduation, so I think I accomplished my ultimate goal....give my mom a great Disney trip.

The race was a little different than last year, with some things having been handled better....and then some aspects that I felt runDisney messed up on. But Alex and I did the whole thing in 1 hour and 5 minutes, which was 14 minutes faster than last year, so I feel great about it.

I ran into a bunch of Disboard members and loved getting to meet all of you! And we experienced some not-so-fun weather during our stay.


BUT! I'll go into more detail on everything in my TR. It'll be a week or two before I can start one, because I need to organize all my photos and notes. I'll be sure and post the link on here when I do start it, though.


One last comment....thanks to everyone who read and gave me tips on this PTR. They helped me when deciding things on the trip, and I there were a few times when the trip was enriched by all this knowledge. I appreciate it!

Welcome back! Can't wait to read your TR! I'm SO glad I got to meet you, you were the first DIS'er I've met in person! Sorry if I freaked you out a little when you were introducing yourself and I was like "I KNOW!!!" I just recognized you right away and I was so excited...plus, if you knew me a little better you'd know that I'm very sarcastic and that's just my weird sense of humor!

It was so hot, I almost died one day in Epcot! I was actually grateful for the little rain breaks every night, it made the heat a little more bearable!

Welcome back yourself! It was great getting to meet you! I was trying to take a picture of those water Mickey and Minnie Mouses and looked up, and I was like, "Hey! That's Jen!" And sorry if I talked your ear off. I tend to do that when I'm nervous. Plus, I might've had an adult beverage in me, and I get chatty when that happens.

I can be pretty sarcastic, too, so no worries. Hope your trip was great, and I can't wait to read your TR!

Thanks! There was a big learning curve with this trip, and even though it wasn't exactly how I'd planned it to be, I now have a better idea of what to the next time I go with someone besides Alex.

I was pretty absent from the DISboards when I was planning my wedding, so it's completely udnerstandable. There's so many things that go into a wedding, that it feels like you're eating, sleeping, breathing that one day.

The Vinylmation display case is actually a shot glass display case. We got ours from Michael's, and if you go on-line or look in the newspaper, they always have a coupon for cases and frames. I think Alex and I got 60% off ours. I got the idea off of a thread from the DIS Unplugged, and I love it.

Thank you!! The weather wasn't the best, but I suspected it wasn't going to be based on how warm a winter we had. (I wore my coat 3 times the whole season. Very unusual.)

Haha, I want to edit the photos (they're taken in huge files and I have to resize them in order to use them. 4.5GB for 1300 pictures!!!) before I write the report. I think what took me so long in writing last year's is that I had to fix the photos first.

It stinks that my vacation is over, but it's great for you! That means your's is soooo close!!!! I can't wait to read all about your trip and how much fun Mark and Jaden are going to have.

And yes...having obstacles definitely counts as an improvement! i know I had to go so slow on those tires in fear of falling on my face.

It was unbelievably hot!

I didn't make it to the DisMeet, either. I had to wait for my mom to finish, and by then the meet time was over.

Ahhh, that's so awesome! I know exactly when you're talking about. It was my mom's second time on RNRC, and she wasn't very happy that Alex and I requested the front row. I do remember you talking to my mom while we were waiting for our turn. You seemed really nice and friendly!

I've seen your posts on the May thread, and I can't believe I missed the fact that you were a DISer! Oh well, even though we didn't get to actually talk to one another, we both remember seeing each other, so I'm counting that as another DISmeet. Thanks so much for posting and letting me know (my mom is going to love it when I tell her she rode with someone from the boards. She thinks it's funny how obsessed all of us are.)

Welcome home I can't wait to read the whole report. It was great meeting you!!! Even if it was brief b/c it was cut short by a potty break. LOL> I'm a bit grouchy about that actually. I would have taken my time getting to the bathrooms had I known it would take SOoooo long for us to be called to line up!!! Whatever happened to "be ready to be in your corral by 8:45?!?!?! I had such a sense of urgency to be where I was supposed to be but had no clue where that was that I just thought I was running out of time to get to the bathroom. ROFL. oh well, blame it on being a newbie maybe?? or them being unorganized?? I dunno. Glad I did at least get to chat briefly
