Thursday was a busy mail day. I received the invitations which came 5 days before they were suppose to and the marrige license. It also came very quickly. I had only mailed the paperwork on Saturday. I did send it by priority mail but I was impressed by how quickly I received it back.
Now I just need my wedding dress to arrive. They are suppose to be back in the factory in China tomorrow so hopefully they will figure out where my dress is and get it here ASAP!

I spoke with the bridal store Thursday and my dress is suppose to arrive at Alfred Angelo's warehouse the 7th or 8th. They are then overnighting it to the store so hopefully it will be there Thursday or Friday. The store said it shouldn't be a problem to get the alterations done in a week. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out.
My coworkers are having a surprise shower for me on Friday so that should be fun. I am a little nervous about what they are planning since it is a surprise (Someone told me about it last week)
This week I have to send out the invitations for the wedding webcast. I am hoping people won't be offended by them. My one friend told me the other night that I was insulting people by not inviting them to the wedding. I guess if I am being rude and insulting so be it. I really don't want a big wedding it is just not my style. That is part of the reason I am having a destination wedding because if I got married here the wedding would get out of control really fast and I would have to invite way too may people. Anyway I want people to be able to share my joy with out them having to travel all the way to Florida and me having to have a big wedding.

I don't understand why people are insulted by not being invited to weddings... especially small destination weddings! They should be happy that you are marrying the one you love in the place you love!

Your plans sound fabulous, can't wait to see pictures of how your meal and dessert party go!

I think I am in a state of shock. I just got of the phone with the bridal shop and my dress is still in China! After my conversation with them yesterday I was very nervous about the dress arriving in the US today and I guess my fears were justified. The do have my 2nd choice dress in stock (AA Cinderella) and are going to overnight it so it will be in the store on Monday. So I will have it as a back up but I really liked my dress. I am very sad right now. They said they would have a better status on my dress on Monday. I don't even think the dress is done yet and have resigned myself to the fact that I have no shot of the dress getting here and being ready to get on the plane with my at 8am Friday morning. The manager told me in the 4 years the store has been opened she has never had a dress not arrive on time but I am sure I will be the first. On the bright side my alterations are now free.

I went to look at the dresses again today. I have lost a little bit of weight and am actually a size smaller then what I ordered which is probably a good thing since the Cinderella dress that is coming is a size smaller then what I ordered. The bad news is I really like my dress better than the Cinderella dress.
The good news is my dress may still arrive in time
It is very confusing though because the whole story about why my dress isn't here doesn't completely make sense. The manager told me she will know in the morning if my dress will get here in time. While i was changing back into my clothes she told my stepmom they may also be able to ship the fabric to Florida and make the dress there. See why I am confused
Anyway as of right now I am just going to have faith that i have my dress by my wedding day.

Thanks for the pixie dust. I think it might have worked. I talked to the store manager yesterday and the latest update is that my dress has arrived in the US but there was a quality control issue so they are remaking the dress. The dress should arrive here Wednesday and Thursday. They claim they will only need an hour to do the alterations so I should have my dress before I get on my plane at 8:00 am Friday
Plan B is they will send it to one of their stores in Orlando if they can't get it here by Thursday and I will have to go there to get the alterations done.
So it looks like I will have my dress for the wedding.
I do realize that the marriage is much more important then the dress I wear to the wedding and no matter what I wear next Wednesday I will be so happy that I am marrying the love of my life.

I am currently on my way to Orlando and I still don't have my dress! It somehow missed its flight to Reno so it didn't arrive yesterday. It is suppose to arrive in Orlando Monday but I am not holding my breath. They let me take the Cinderella dress in case my dress doesn't arrive so at least I have something to wear. I do like the sparkly skirt on it. The good news is they are giving me my money back and I get married in 5 days!
