Very cute diaper covers! I read your post yesterday but didn't have time to comment! It's been a busy week.
WOW.. those diaper covers look really cool!! you did a great job!I wish I could sew but I suck at it!!LOL
Thanks! I totally understand, summer is so very busy for everyone, and you're more busy than most people I know. Maybe more busy than everyone I know put together!We all have more time to respond when we're locked inside all winter, hiding from the cold!
I just noticed that you put your upcoming trips to Disney in your signature. Just to let you know....2011 package prices should be coming out at the beginning of August.![]()
I don't think I can handle thinking in depth about more than one trip at a time, but DH can and he'll be totally excited to know that! He's already juggling all the trips around in his head trying to figure out what's best for dining options and hoppers and APs... Although, we won't need tickets for Feb/April because of the AP, and we're hoping for some sort of AP room discount, but we're talking about changing our August/September trip to a Nov. trip for DS's birthday next year and we'll be booking a package for that one. We'll be keeping you busy, anyway.Who knew taking a lot of disney trips could get so complicated?!? (You did, I bet, now that you're in the business!
)
You got some really awesome deals!! WOW makes me wanna go to the thrift store this weekend! I love those dresses! and that purple and green one will look so cute with Tiana on it
Wow! You got some really cute stuff at Amvets! I actually like the purple sweater, but then again, I love anything with stripes on it.I think if you put Tiana on it, it will be perfect. It's just the right colors.
Wow! Awesome deals!!!

Hey, I've been so busy that I haven't even had time to check in lately!
Love the diaper covers and the great thrift store finds.![]()
The kids lanyards will be multi-functional. In addition to holding their pins for trading they will also have a mini itinerary, snack coupons, and ID attatched to the clip on the lanyard. In addition to their names and ages the ID card will have our cell phone numbers andthe name of our resort on them just in case. Jace got lost at Six Flags once and it was TERRIBLE so even though I don't think it will be an issue I want to be prepared.
ETA: As for what they should do if they get lost the first thing I'll do when we enter a park is point out the shirts of the CMs and tell them to look for that shirt. If they can't find someone in one of those shirts then they should look for a mom with kids- mom's will statistically be the safest and most helpful.
My girls are old enough that we just reviewed what CM badges look like. I told them to find someone with that nametag and stay put. I would come find them. For a younger one, I might safety pin my cell number onto a shoe and teach them how to show it.
subbing in...I need to get caught up w/ all your updates links...be back...I know I'm late in te game...but still be fun to see what has happened in your planning and swoop right in for the last bits of fun

Do you put ID on your kids at the parks? J.J. isn't a runner, but he tends to wander without looking for where we are. I think that won't be much of an issue at disney because he's also lazy and loves the stroller, but I do want to put ID on him somehow. I'm a worrier about him getting lost or stolen. I've been trying to teach him that if he gets lost he should find a mommy with a lot of kids, but we have this sesame street book where Maria tells Ernie to find a salesperson behind the counter, and he's reluctant to learn anything else. I tell him about finding a mommy and he's all, "Yes, Mommy." and then I say, "So what do you do if you get lost?" and he says, "Find a salesperson behind a counter." I mean, it's better than nothing, but that's hard at disney since you have to find a store first to find a salesperson.
So if you put ID on your kids at disney, what do you do? He won't do one of those tatoo things with his sensory issues. He can't stand that sort of thing.
We have Who's Shoes. They are velcro and go on their shoes. We've taught the kids to show them to someone with a name tag. My eldest wandered off at the Bronx Zoo one time and the zoo employee was just about to call us (because of the shoe tag) when my DH arrived.

ETA: I just saw your comment about crocs. Hmm. Would he wear a bracelet or ankle bracelet? They make some ID bracelets similar to silly bandz.
