The faceless children take a top-secret trip to WDW...

Aww, that Mickey diaper is so cute- and those cute little stripey baby legs are too! Do you know that they make biodegradable inserts for the cloth diapers? I don't know how expensive they are (I saw them on a 'Green Baby' segment on the morning news) but probably cheaper than the all natural disposables. It might be worth looking into using them on the trip part time so you don't have as much laundry. Although I know you said you practice EC so you may not have that much anyway. :)

I wish I had a good excuse like spring cleaning for slacking on my PTR- mine's just due to pure lazy. :lmao:

Lol thanks, she definitely doesn't match at all. We call that look, "You look like Mommy dressed you." :rotfl:

And yes, I know about the inserts...cost wise they're normally about the same as the disposables, but we did pick some up half off on sale awhile back...Sydney is a crazy pee-er and we have to double them up, so we didn't really save money! But I do plan on using those for travel days, and for the last couple days so I can get the cloth all clean and dry and not have to bring back wet diapers. But if I didn't know about them, I would be very excited to hear, so thanks for bringing them up! (And we EC, but not very proactively, so it just means her next diaper misses that first pee that she gets out at the diaper change and doesn't usually get pooped on. Helpful, but not helpful like we won't be using diapers! We were the "don't need diapers" kind of EC-ers with J.J. and it stressed my type-A personality out to no end needing to get him to the bathroom. And he was still a week short of 3 before he potty trained, and it took me until he was 2.5 to realize that doing it that way was not really working for me! :scared1: So this time around I decided it was not for me and that I would do it part-time! I embrace the diapers. I love the diapers. Maybe a little bit to the point of too much...:rotfl2:)

Well, soon there will be nothing left to declutter, and then I'll have to blame it on being lazy...for now there's a lot because my kids aren't "playing with toys" kind of kids, they'd rather do arts and crafts and worksheets (J.J., not Sydney, obviously), and only play with like, action figures or tiny toy animals...but somehow we've amassed great quantities of toys... :rolleyes1

So, I got online to post about how Disney sold the Power Rangers, and that internet rumor is that they'll stop appearing in the parks in August. SO disappointing, it would have been the highlight of J.J.'s little life. Hopefully he doesn't remember the youtube videos I showed him, or the fact that for awhile there I was telling him that he was going to meet them at disneyworld! :scared1: But better this way than if he saw them in September and then they weren't there for the other trips, so at least it's good that if they have to go, they'll be gone before we go.

But then, I hopped over to Hope's PTR, and I read that IASM is going to be down while we're there...which would have been DD's favorite ride SURELY, she's completely in love with dolls. Obsessed. She's been in love with dolls since she was a tiny little baby and couldn't do anything lay there. We had been talking about how much she would love it!

Ugh. Frustrating. Disney is just bumming me out this weekend!

Sorry! We'll have IASW and TSM down. And maybe Star Tours (my 6 year old is Star Wars obsessed!). At least we have never been on Star Tours before so he won't know what he's missing. My kids know TSM and IASW very well so they will miss those rides (but the flip side is that they've been to Disney a few times and will have more trips in the future so it's hard to feel too sorry for them!).

I hate to be all "misery loves company" but does it make me a bad person that I feel better knowing that your star wars obsessed kid will miss star tours? (Well, if there's a possibility that he won't, I do really hope that he doesn't!)

And yes, I would feel a million times worse if we weren't going back. It was just a shock to the system to hear the news this morning!

Don't worry- they're going to have so much fun that you'll wonder why you ever worried! I am a little disappointed that the UP! characters are going to be gone before we get there but I know that in the long run it won't matter much and we're going to have a BLAST. And my Star Wars obsessed ds is okay with Star Tours closing because he knows there's other stuff to do so worrying about one ride isn't worth it. It's DISNEY WORLD- you can't help but have a great time!! :wizard:

Hope's right, there is so much to see and do, they are going to love every second of it! Only you will know it's closed. I was the same way about Space Mountain b/c we missed it the first time and then it was on my list to do and it was rehabbed when we went the 2nd time. Third time is the charm! I do feel bad for those families who can only afford a once-in-a-lifetime trip and something big is closed, thank goodness there is so much to see and do at WDW, it makes up for it!

Misery definitely loves company!!! Every time I hear about a refurb I just remind myself - "This isn't a once in a lifetime trip. We will be back!"

Cute Minnie diaper! I hope the new system works well for your family! :goodvibes: I  baby legs! They were great when DD was a baby. We use them now still--3+ years.

My DD loves dolls too which is why I posted about being sad IASW. It will be ok, there are plenty of other things to ride and do but I am sadden by this. :sad2: We need to focus on the positives!! :goodvibes

I was surprised this morning too to see that IASW will be closing for refurb. I am sorry that it is over your travel dates. It is good that your little one is so young that she probably won't notice. IASW is the only ride that my 4 yo says she wants to go on, so it would be a tragedy for us.

Ah, Hope, you're such the voice of reason! This really did make me feel better. :goodvibes It's true, we will have a wonderful trip regardless.

Oh, the kids definitely will have no idea that anything is missing. It is true, it's just me. I know there was some stuff closed on our last trip that I was upset about, and I don't have any idea what it was, in retrospect! That's so crazy that you missed Space Mountain twice. Third time will definitely be the charm!

I will make it my mantra! And Power Rangers don't scream "disney" to me anyway, so I won't really miss something I didn't know was there...if DS wasn't completely and totally obsessed with them, I would have had no idea. On the plus side, he won't insist on bringing his power rangers action figures to "meet" the real power rangers, so he won't lose them in Florida...

Cute Minnie diaper! I hope the new system works well for your family! :goodvibes: I  baby legs! They were great when DD was a baby. We use them now still--3+ years.

I hope the new system works well too...you never know, but I'll try it out before I spend the money to get the whole thing, and if it doesn't work, then there are a few others that will pack light and dry fast that are in the same price range. I'm glad I happened upon the idea though, because DD is getting more sensitive to things, so I think her skin would not like a disposable over long periods of time.

I love babylegs too! We used them with DS as well...he still insists on wearing them if he wears shorts, "to protect his knees". :confused3 Like people didn't already think he looked like a girl, now he wears tights. :lmao: Oh well, like I said before...:hippie:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is sad about IASW...it's just such a great ride for doll-lovers!

I'm glad it's not closed for your travel dates...that would be devastating since it's the only ride she wants to go on! Sydney definitely has no idea, and she'll still be a baby this time. I wonder if they're adding disney characters like they did at Disneyland?

Glad I helped! I can be very zen when I want to be. :hippie::lmao:

Those salads sound yummy! Its good if you have a favorite food to know where you can get it, great idea! :thumbsup2

Alright, I acknowledge that this PTR has mostly been abandoned. And for that I apologize. It's just so nice out and whenever I try to type on the DIS, Sydney hits the keyboard and erases everything I wrote! So, I appreciate anyone still reading! :goodvibes

We were supposed to leave at 4:30 pm on September 23rd, because DH can get out of work early enough to barely make that flight. But I guess his boss just gave him extra stops to deliver, so he wouldn't be sure of making it anymore...so his boss just gave him the whole day off. Have I mentioned that DH has the best boss ever? :woohoo:

So, now we can leave in the morning, and get to go to a park that day! Which means I need to re-write my schedule of what I'm doing and when, because I want MK to be the first park so I had scheduled that for Friday.

Not sure what time our flight will be yet, but we got our southwest points so we can buy very very soon.

I also want to get started on printing journal pages, but I think I want to have them sent out...I just want them on cardstock. Any suggestions where I can get them printed online?

Hope you're enjoying the nice weather, I know we are!

Hooray for an extra day!! :)

That's great! What a nice boss.

JJ's hair is getting so long. Will it bother him this summer? And I can't believe how cute your DD looks in her bathing suit! Awww!

Yea for an extra Disney day!!!

Well, on the 23rd, we're hitting up MK in the morning and then heading over to DHS for Fanstasmic that night. :goodvibes

Cute pics of your kiddos! We've mostly been enjoying the weather (the cottonwood is killing me and my DH) when we're not too busy running around. I'm hoping that the rain last night will get rid of some of the allergens floating around. Speaking of the rain....I didn't see it since I was at dress rehersal last night...was it crazy?? I could hear the thunder inside the school and when we left the school, there were huge puddles everywhere! I said we must have missed the monsoon! :rotfl:
