The faceless children take a top-secret trip to WDW...

HA! I would have never guessed that, it's AWESOME!!!! Absolutely send in a pic afterwards! What a great idea!!! :goodvibes

I have been enjoying your thread! :) I love the dresses. I think I could do it! I'm going to give it a try! Thanks for sharing the instructions!

:welcome: Glad you're reading along! Definately make the dresses, they're SO easy. Every few weeks we take the 40% off coupon from the Joannes ad in the paper and go get some disney fabric so I can sew some disney dresses for our trip! :cool1: Let me know how they turn out!

OMG I LOVE the costume idea!!! We are huge Ellen fans and I definately think you should email her your picture. :thumbsup2

HA! I would have never guessed that, it's AWESOME!!!! Absolutely send in a pic afterwards! What a great idea!!! :goodvibes

Thanks! I thought it was so funny, and J.J. LOVES dinosaurs, so it won't be a struggle getting him into a costume. Originally I wanted Sydney to be something girly, but a pink dinosaur will suffice. Plenty of time to be a princess on any other day!

Excuse me for a moment, because I have to

because we booked our trip!

We decided it was easier for the travel agent (we use Kingdom Konsultants...we used them last trip and all was well so we just used them again) to just add free dining if it comes out, since we'll be going anyway if it doesn't.

Now, I wasn't too excited until I saw the confirmation e-mail with all the details and then I got SO excited! WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!

 You would think the PTR 6 months out would make me feel like that, but it's more real now that we have a real reservation. I mean, we have Disney plans that we talk about on a regular basis through 2012, so PLANS are nothing new!

So we're all set. 10 nights at Pop standard room, starting 9/23. 10 day park hoppers (although we plan on upgrading to annual passes once we're there). No dining on there yet, since we're hoping for free dining and we won't be getting the dining plan if they don't offer it. We requested bedrails, but DH forgot to request first floor...I just realized that and I'll have to remind him of that, although we can really have quite awhile. We'll also want to put in a section request, but first floor is more important, which I realized once our stroller came in the mail. I mean, it's very manageable for a double, but I don't want to lug it up stairs unless I have to!

Anyway, just had to come celebrate! Celebrate with me, will you?

:cool1::banana::dance3: Doing the booking dance!! woooo hoooo!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

oh and the costume idea is tres' cute!!! I love it

Yay for booking your trip! :cool1:

Awesome costume idea! Very creative! I agree, sending your picture in to Ellen afterwards is a fabulous idea. I love Ellen!

Great job booking!!! WooHoo!!

Your family will look so cute for MNSSHP!! Great idea! If you can't find Ellen hair you could probably use a Kate Gosselin (probably on clearance this year!) and cut it up a bit! :rotfl:

:woohoo: Whohooo! Booking is the best!!! :woohoo:

Congrats on booking!!! That's an exciting moment!!!

Amanda

Hurray for booking!!

:rotfl: How smart are you? That's brilliant! I'll have to do some googling and see what I can find!

Totally OT here, but we watched the princess and the frog yesterday.

J.J. HATED it. I mean, this kid will sit down and watch Lost with us, normally he'll watch anything as long as it's TV. But he didn't want to watch it, kept asking if it was over...I don't know what happened!

Sydney didn't seem to care either way. Because, you know, she's 10 months old. She didn't try to walk out of the room, if that's any statement about how she felt, but she didn't watch the TV at all either. Maybe she enjoyed the music. :confused3

I loved it, I thought it was SO cute. I have to admit though, I was a little disappointed that they finally have a black princess...and she's a frog for 3/4ths of the movie. :headache: Really, disney? Really? I didn't hear any complaints when it came out though, so it just must be me. Oh well. The movie was really adorable though!

I really love the passporter, so I was just planning on buying another one. But then I discovered donatalie's journal pages, and I think I'm in love! :lovestruc So I completely want to use those now, and put pictures in too, for a scrapbook-y effect.

I'm a little fuzzy about the details though...won't this kill my printer ink if I print it at home? It's a lot of pages! Any suggestions on where I can get it printed pretty cheap? Online, even? Am I going to run into problems with them printing disney images like that? Plus, do you think it's better to do it 5x7 or 8x10? I was thinking 5x7 but I'm not sure if I want to put pictures in it, then it seems better to do it 8x10.

Also, I think I'm going to make an autograph book. Probably two, since Sydney might want one just because it's what Jay is doing...hard to tell. She's a lot older than I would expect her to be already at 10 months (walking! Saying words!) so I have no idea what she'll be like at 18 months. Reading BabyEeyore's TR diligently to have an idea though! ;) ) Again, printer ink issues? DH and I were talking about it and we think a page for each character is just too much at this point (I don't think J.J. would like having un-signed pages, that would drive him crazy and he would insist we find those characters, even if we can't!) but we wanted to just make pages for each park. Any suggestions? Maybe we can make them ourselves, I haven't played around with that yet. And how should we bind them? Anyone done this?

I also want to print passports, but that shouldn't be too bad, they should be pretty short.

Another idea I have is I want to print "animal cards" with pictures and some facts on them for J.J. for animal kingdom. He would LOVE that, he's very into diego and animals and such. Does anyone know where I can get a list of the animals they have at animal kingdom?

Okay, that was mostly just questions. But I'm sure you can help me! I'll post pictures once I get some stuff done, but I'm all ideas and no finished products at this point!

Here are some faceless pictures to keep you going!

Can you believe she can climb like this already? 10 months!

I thought Princess and the Frog was very cute, too. My daughter was a little bored for parts but overall liked it. It was the 1st time she'd seen a movie in the theater so I think that was part of it.
Lots of cute ideas!

I loved loved loved the Princess and The Frog!! My daughter loves it too she was a bit put off with the dark scene though!Amazingly my husband loved it as well!
I am like you about the frog thing but I am taking what we get!!LOL
We bought the combo pack-DH gets the Blueray becaue he has a PS3 that can play it.. I will get the DVD.. then we also have the regular DVD that Baby Girl will get in her Easter basket!!LOL

WOW I can not believe baby girl is climbing like that at 10months!! You are gonna have to keep your eye on that one!!

I have lived on the creative boards FOREVER, even before I started planning my trip!!seriously!!

As far at the autograph pages..YES it is going to kill your ink!! You can do one of two things..you can print the ones that don't have so much ink to them..I THINK Dontalie is the one who did 2 versions, if not there is someone who did and I can find them for you...
OR you can outsourse the printing and get it printed like a picture-just make sure you get matte finish.

As far as not having extra pictures- you could print all blanks(no picture) and then when you get home, scrap the siggy on a page with the charachter and pic of them getting the siggy...

OR when you print them out you can bound them with Ribbon so when you get home you can take out the ones without siggys OR you could put them in a photo album type thing so you can take them out..OR you can keep them all seperate and bound when you get home..
Bet you didn't think you were going to get all those answers??LOL
Dontalie is who I used when I did my autograph book

We loved The Princess and the Frog. We were going to buy it yesterday, but DH forgot to put the carseat back in my car and then forgot to stop by the store on the way home from work. But he promised to get it on his way home from lunch today since he has to pick some other stuff up, too. DD (18 months old) was awake for half of it (it started right around her bedtime - our theater only shows movies at night since it is an outdoor theater) and LOVED the music!

I love your "lazy" snowman. Super cute!!!

Thanks! The first time we took J.J. to a movie (well, DH took him, I stayed with the baby...we could have easily taken her too, she was the worlds easiest baby, but I didn't really want to go!) was to toy story 1 and 2...which is crazy, who takes a 2 year old to two movies! But DH is very laid back and had no problem leaving for a bit and playing in the arcade and going back and stuff. Movies are fun, but it's a long time for a little kid to sit still!

Lol. DH is already collecting Blueray's and we don't have a blue ray player! But he's very excited about them anyway. I love that not only are you getting all 3, you have a purpose for all 3!

Yes, she's taking right after her brother. Two kids has gotten to be much more work in the last few weeks, that's for sure. She climbs, she walks, and she has quite a temper! She's making up for being the world's easiest baby! :rotfl:

That is a lot of ideas. I love all the input, THANK YOU! :goodvibes Binding them with ribbon so I can take out the extras is really smart. I think DH is looking toward outsourcing the printing, and I'm thinking about making stickers of the characters to put on each page after they sign (we found some laminating paper laying around the house that really is just a big sticker, and we don't have a use for it!) because then I could just use a notebook with a hard cover, or maybe see if I can find some bound cardstock or index cards at a store around here. Lots to think about!

We love outside theatres! We pretty much only go to the drive-in, and then we rent all our movies the rest of the year when they come out on DVD from redbox. Can't beat $1 rentals!

Here is a link I am going to use when discussing Animal Kingdom http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/AnimalKingdomAnimals1/index.html Hope it helps you out!

We enjoyed the P&TF too. I hope I can find it tomorrow to put in DD's Easter basket.

Thanks for the link, I used a bunch of those pictures! Hope you found princess and the frog for your DD's easter basket!

Sorry I am so slow at updating. So thank you for staying around!

I'm so frustrated right now. I spent my "free time" for a few days (you guys have kids, you know what those quotes are for!) getting pictures and info for animal cards for Jay for AK. And after I did all that, DH tells me we have this book.

102_9475.jpg

Really? He couldn't have told me about it 2 days before when I started this process? :headache: So I went through and got everything finalized.

I made the cards, printed them, and laminated and bound them.

Today I went to get the cards to take a picture to show them to you, and they're nowhere to be found! :scared1: I searched for 10-15 minutes and then just gave up because I wasn't getting anywhere. I remember holding them in my hand and thinking, "I really could use a disney box so I know where I put all these things." and then thinking, eh, oh well, and putting them down...somewhere...

:lmao:

I know you've all been there. They'll show up and I'll show you pictures then!

Other than that, I really want to get started on park plans, I just haven't had the time yet. Soon, I hope.

And, I'm anxiously awaiting a Free Dining offer! SO soon now, if it is going to come out! Crossing my fingers!

Plus, I have to do a little celebration. Now, I don't usually get into political stuff, so if you don't like that they passed the health care bill, stop reading!

I mean it, stop! I want to still remain friends!

Okay, well, I hope you stopped reading. And I know they're still fighting it, but I'm going to be optimistic here. DH's job doesn't provide health insurance, so we have to purchase it separately, since we're not going to go uninsured. Which means that we pay about $10,000 every year for our health insurance and it goes up AT LEAST $1,000 every year. It's really important to us that I stay home with the kids, so with one income and that big of a chunk of money going to health insurance it always makes money tighter than we'd like. But this new health care legislation puts premium caps on people of our income at about $2,500 a year. A YEAR! That means an extra 8,000 in the bank, which does more than miracles to ease a worried mama's mind. party: Come 2014 there's going to be some cash flow around here! :lmao: (It seems rediculous to be excited about something so far away, but in terms of long term stress, it does wonders!)

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled trip report and as always thanks for reading!

Southwest just released their fares... They don't have the flight we were hoping for (through Aug 15 they had an 8:20 Sunday night direct flight) and the flight they do have leaves at 6:45 but it's $134. So we have to keep looking, I guess! Ah, the fun of travel... ;)

Nothing good on the way down (DH has to be able to catch the flight after work and he can only get out so early) but Airtran has the flight we want...we just haven't booked it yet...I think DH wanted to wait until Free dining actually came out.

Don't worry about airfare yet! When we go in September I usually don't get tickets till late June. They'll add more flights and have sales before in the next couple months.

I love all your doing as far as character pages and AK cards. You are very creative!
