I think it's awesome that you're taking notes during your trips to use towards Disney. It's always good to be prepared.
Our stroller lays all the way back and the canopy part can be pulled all the way down and Ashlyn has taken her naps that way in the parks in past trips. Hopefully it will work just as well during our next trip!! I wouldn't want to take a nap break back at the hotel unless absolutely necessary, either. Especially since we are going to be there just for one full day. But anyway, thanks for the zoo pictures! So cute.
Can't be too prepared, I figure. Even if Sydney will be so much older by then, it's still good to get an idea!
I wonder how far down our canopy goes. J.J. is really good about naps at home, I do wonder how he would do if we just tell him that it's nap time and recline his seat. He needs that nap and he knows it! Maybe not the first day, but on other days. I will have to try it out around here and see how it goes. The only problem I can see is that in bed he always rolls onto his tummy to fall asleep, so it might take him longer. I mean, he does sleep in the carseat and stroller, but it's never on purpose!
Love the pics! That's great that you got a huge bargain from the
Disney Store.
Amanda
Thanks! It was very crazy to be shopping long distance and trying to look up pictures of these things on disneyshopping.com. The things I'll do for a bargain!
I use those JoAnns coupons to get fabric and such too. Cute clothes for Jay!

for shopping deals! You will have to post a pic if you care too of all the loot you got. TFS the Easter morning pics--cute egg hunt!

for a practice trip! I learned so much from our trip to NC.

: I agree about the snacks--we definitely need to makes sure I have snacks with us in our backpack. They have paper straws in AK--could you put regular, plastic straws in your park bag? I am considering this and then making sure they end up were they belong when finished with them. The other thing I am considering is bringing a take and toss sippy cup to pour drinks in there while in AK.
I will definitely post a picture of all the stuff I got, but it will be July before it gets here since it's sitting in my brother's apartment in CA. My mom is going out there in July though, and my brother is coming here 2 weeks later (we're taking turns so my mom can go on vacation...my brother is coming here and my mom is going to my sister's house, and my sister is coming here and my mom is going to my brother's...it's a lot of work watching my grandma so we need to tag team just incase she needs to go to the hospital or something. It's a lot of work for me, really, since I'm the one who knows how to take care of her and do everything she needs done in the bathroom, but they're here just in case. It's good for my mom though, and she'll get to go to
disneyland and bring us back souvenirs! But anyway, they'll just bring back our stuff in luggage when all that happens.
I didn't know they had paper straws in AK, that would be fine. I thought they just wouldn't let you bring in plastic straws, although they'd really never know since we just left one in Jay's water bottle and closed the lid. Sounds easy enough!
Wow, it seems like you got some good info on your practice trip! So smart!
My kids are much older than yours and we figured out long ago (and it still holds true at the ripe old ages of 9 and 11) that they are easier to get along with if they have a break (they don't nap anymore but still need some downtime on vacation) in the middle of the day. We go back out in the evenings when we're on vacation but a mid afternoon break is a must. You might consider a ride on the friendship boats, monorail, MK railroad, etc. as a way to sit down and rest with the little ones without having to trek all the way back to the resort.
That's actually a great idea, something like the monorail especially where Jay could be in the stroller. Something boring, really, is what I need for him!
What a fun trip to the Zoo! I haven't been to the TO zoo since I was maybe 10 or so. I'll have to check it out.
It's hard to give you a ball-park on disposable diaper changes cause you'll probably be giving your DD lots to drink cause it'll prob be hot. I wouldn't wait more than 2.5 hours.
You can def bring your own straw into AK. Just bring it back out with you

In Babies R Us they sell water bottle toppers. Perhaps you can look into those. The screw onto water bottles to make them spill proof.
The zoo was great. If you have a buffalo zoo membership you get 50% off admission. Plus, kids under 4 are free, so it was a good deal.
Thanks for the guess on diapers, I was like, does no one know, I know most people use them! I just have very limited experience with them...I had to take J.J. to the doctors unexpectedly this week (the toilet seat fell on well, his little boy parts, when we was going to the bathroom...he's fine...he has a bruise but the doctor said, "you'd be surprised how often this happens"...we went out and shelled out the $30 a toilet seat to buy slow-close ones that don't slam on Thursday night) and since I was in a hurry I just threw some disposables and some disposable wipes in a diaper bag for Syd just in case I ended up being out longer than I thought...and man that bag was weightless! It was like carrying an empty bag!

Cloth is a lot of good things, but light or small it is not!
