The fab 4 take on the fab 4 themeparks WDW TR (With lots of pictures- link to new TR

Sounds like a good plan!! Can't believe it is almost time to leave. Can't help with the food choices my favorite CS is Pinnochicco (sp) Haaus and Cosmic Rays; we ate at the hotel and DTD the entire time we were there.
Hope Emily feels better soon!
:wave2:Connie
Thank you. I love having an IASW view at Pinochio and waving to the people. I wish I could do that at every meal. I can't wait to try the ribs and chicken at cosmic rays. I've heard great things about it.
Thank you for the get well wishes.

WOW the parks are going to be open late while you are there. It looks like you are going to have a busy trip! Did you think about renewing you APs for are still going to try to get just the weekday passes?

I hope the crowds are going to be manageable for you.

Hopefully Emily is feeling better soon.:goodvibes

I know one day MK will be open until 3 AM. I can't imagine who would stay that late. There is never a dull moment at DW when I am the planner.:cool1:
We aren't going back until october or november so it doesn't make sense to renew. Disney extended the 15 for 12 deal until september so, I'm hoping they will extend it again until the end of the year. We decided on the season pass again.
Thanks for the get well wishes. I hope Juliana gets better soon.

Once we reached China and started our KP mission we were on a roll. The whole thing is so cute and really thought out on Disney's part. One clue brought us to the sword shop, where we were given a fortune cookie. The fortune cookie gave us our next clue. One clue brought us to a museum where the statue moved. Also something Disney did on their part is put most clues by expensive toys that most kids like. When we were coming towards the end of the mission it started pouring. And we were so close to beating the monkeys and saving the world.:sad2: Oh well, in 15 days the world will be saved. We quickly took cover in the place where the have the China show. Sorry I'm not good with the WS. I have to study it. We saw Mulan with a short line. I felt so rushed though. Mulan just signed the girls' book, took a picture and then it was goodbye. There was only about 3 people in line so I don't know why we couldn't have another minute. Oh well we had better character interaction later in the day. The rain was coming down, and I mean it was really, really coming down. Every couple of minutes we tried to put on the ponchos and the umbrellas and make a run for it but there was no way. It felt like and sounded like it was raining stones. We tried this about 5 times before we finally gave up. I could tell the CM standing by the door was trying hard not to laugh at us. We saw the China movie. (No Idea what it's called.) The movie was having tech problems and about 30 minutes had passed so we decided to leave to see of the rain had let up. About half, but it was still pouring. So we decided to

get creative and make the kid-cot masks. Everybody made one including Mitch. Sadly, they never made it home though because of all the rain. We were so busy coloring that about we didn't realize the rain light up enough to go. We quickly gathered our things, put back on the ponchos, and I gave the Kimunicanicator to a CM. We were now off to FW.:woohoo: Mind you due to the terrible rain we never made it to our 5:00 ADR for les chefs de france.:sad2: To get to FW you have to pass by Norway. The wait for Maelstorm was non-existent and the kiddos wanted to ride again so I was kind enough to let Mitch take the on and I went in the giftshop. Once they got off we all posed for pictures wearing viking hats on my phone. I'll have to ask Mitch how to put them in here. Emily traded one of her pins with a CM for a Jimminy Cricket pin. Finally we arrived to FW. First thing first was bathroom breaks. Our socks were soaked. So believe it or not I went in the bug bathroom and dried mine and the girls' socks with the blow dryer. Flame me if you want but having toasty sicks felt nice. I decided we should go see the line was the character spot. I was hoping the rain scared everybody away. It had:woohoo:. The line for character spot was 15 minutes. In line their was twin cinderellas. :lovestruc Finally before we knew it we were seeing my friends. First off was Mickey, followed by Pluto, followed by Miss Minnie, and then my best friend donald and then finally Goofy. This was probably the best character interaction by far. The photopass photographer? Not so much. I got better pictures on my camera phone. Every couple of days I switch up the wall paper on my phone with a different picture of the girls with the a member of the fab.:goodvibes Amy was wearing a Goofy pin and Goofy liked that a lot. He started jumping up and down and then took Amy into a konga line.:rotfl2: I wish I had it on video. Also Pluto did not like Emily's nemo pin and started throwing a fit. When it was turn to see Donald, Donald made Mitch leave and then we started dancing. Minnie taught the girls a dance. So the character spot was great character interaction if you ask me. This trip we are going their right at RD and I will for sure have the camera. Oh yea, in China a couple gave us two fastpasses for Soarn'. Amy wanted to use them with Mitch. (She doesn't care about her sister.) Emily wanted to go too, so we let the girls go on and Mitch and I waited for them at the exit. By the time we were out of the land it was 7 and we were starving. Nobody wanted to go back to the seasons for a third meal there in one day so we went to the Electric Umbrella. We all shared chicken nuggets and french fries and I had a small salad. Nothing great. I don't think I'll be returning here for a while. After dinner we walked around FW to find something to do. Nemo and Figment was walk-on. Ellen was closed for a couple days. When we were on it and it broke it must of been something serious. Soarn' was 55 minutes. Spaceship Earth was 10 minutes and TT single rider was 15 minutes. Amy and Mitch wanted to ride TT. So did Emily. Emily is deeply afraid of roller coasters. Even Barn stormer is too much for her. The only 'thrill' she will ride is Splash. I asked her several times if she was sure and she said yes. Mitch suggested that I come in line with them in case she chickened out. I obligated. TT was having issues so the wait-time ended up being about 25 minutes. I love the pre show and I'm so glad I got to see it even if I can't go on the ride because I get:sick::rolleyes1. Soon enough all THREE of them were off to go test out cars. Mitch said Emily she was shaking the whole time. Of course now she says it is one of her favorite rides in Disney. You should see her face on the ride photo. I had to buy it. I'll post a pic. After TT it was 7:45 and I suggested we head on over to MK for wishes at 9. Mitch said we should go on spaceship earth because it was walk on. I was out ruled 3-1.:guilty: This was my first time on it since they re-did it. I liked it better then the way it used to be, the touch screens are a nice touch. Don't flame me but I still think that ride has so much potential. Finally we were headed over to MK via monorail.:cool2: The monorail is so so fast about 20 minutes later we were at the MK monorail stopped. Of course the Epcot monorail only goes to the TTC so we had to get off there and transfer monorails. I asked the CM if we could ride up front. His answer was "There is a family in line but, you can get on the next one in front." SCORE! About 3 minutes later after the first monorail left monorail Grey came ready for us in front. The ride over was magical. We asked a ton of monorail questions to the driver. Where do the monorails get parked and how do the CMs get to them in the morning. Some park at Epcot, some TTC, and some the MK stop. The rest have a way to get to the back of the MK, where the monorails go daily for inspections. Sadly, we will never get to ride in front of the monorail again.:sad1: From the front of the monorail it really looks like you are going to crash through the CR.

Amy just got home from school. Emily stayed home she is still sick. Her fever is gone and her she is barely coughing. My first cousin is in town with his DW and 3 dds ages 14, 11, and 4. So we have plans to meet them for lunch tomorrow and then go to the park after. I'll see in the morning if Emily is up to that. Right now she is playing TSM on the wii, so I think she will be able to make it. Mitch was away on a business trip this week and he is coming home tonight.

I typed this post and posted it but it didn't show up:confused:, so I'm typing it again.
*******
We were able to see EWP from the front of the monorail. It would of been great if the CM stopped the monorail for us but that just isn't going to happen. When we got off the monorail we all got monorail licenses. At around I think 8:30 we were inside the MK.:goodvibes Main Street was mobbed. People were pushing and shoving and some people were being quite rude. The sidewalks were the only walking space because the whole world decided to just park themselves on the floor and just sit there and not get out of the way for people. One woman had bags and bags all over the sidewalk and I nearly tripped and landed in her lap. We were able to walk through gift shops for most of the time. Mitch needed coffee so he crossed the dark side and got some coffee at Casey's. The rest of us wanted icecream so we went to a CS by the carpets and got some frozen yogurt to share. It was hot out. We made our way to our spot for wishes- the walk way between HM and Splash and as soon as the music started I had tears in my eyes. "Star light, star bright the first star I see tonight. I wish I may I wish might make a wish and with tonight. Make a wish and do as dreamers doooo and all my wishes will come true." The girls' eyes were glued to the sky. All too soon it was over. We quickly headed over to HM. No line. So we hopped on.
"Please kindly step in and make room for everybody. Are these haunted walls actually stretching? Or is just your imagination? Realize this haunted room had no doors or no windows! So, your job is to find a way out. HAHAHAHAAHAAHHA. Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you prematurely."
Oh, how I wish I could be riding that right now. Next we were off to IASW. 10 minute wait. Next was the Cindy's horse. And then we decided to go from traveling by horse and switch to car so we went on TLSW. 20 minute wait. Emily is normal for her age and was able to ride alone when she was in 4th grade. Amy was at the end of 5th and was still to short to ride by an inch. Hopefully this time. It was now 11 and EMH had started. Oh yea, when we got off TLSW a family gave us 4 FPs for anything in MK. Emily really wanted to see monsters inc. but it was now closed due to EMH. Amy wanted to see Stitch. Again I was out numbered 3-1 so I decided to go shopping on Main Street. Nobody wants to see Stitch again. Incase you've never been on they bring down these heavy seat belts pressing down on your shoulder and it's hard to move. The show was broken for 20 minutes and they were stuck in their seat belts. When I heard that I was very glad I was not there. I met them at Buzz and we used our 4 FPs. Regular wait was 20 minutes. Then I went to the bathroom and the 3 went on the teacups. 10 minute wait. Just looking at those teacups makes me feel like.... you get the picture. It was now 11:30 and we were beyond tired so we decided to leave. We went to the busses and there was a HUGE group of people standing there and the line of people were LONG. I asked the CM why all these people were standing here. The answer? "This is the line for the swan-dolphin-BW bus." You have to be kidding me. Every minute busses for resorts all around us came and left. Mind you the busses were pretty empty. We finally decided to go in the YC and BC line. It was smaller but barely. Busses came about every 40 minutes. Finally we were back and we had to walk back to the Dolphin because we had to get off at YC. The bus driver made everyone get off even if people were staying at BC. We finally all got to bed after 1.
There was no making RD the next day. Coming up next: Our last full day-DHS.

After our very long day the day before there was obviously no making rope drop this day. I woke up at around 10:15 and just stayed in bed for a little while longer. The girls' woke up a few minutes later. Mitch was too tired to get up so he said he would meet up with us later. We showered, got dressed, and had a quick breakfast of chocolate chip muffins from home. We needed the chocolate to wake us up. We went down to the boat for DHS. I don't remember how long we waited but I know it was a while. When we got to this place
S6302368.jpg

and tried to get in Amy's ticket wouldn't work. I mean why would it work? So we had to wait for a CM that knew what they were doing to come over. The CM took us to guest relations and printed all 3 of us new tickets. I said that this has been happening the whole trip is there anything you could do for us. The CM said "Well, you aren't supposed to keep your tickets in your wallet."

wonder where people like me is suppose to keep there ticket...I do not do the lanyard thing...can't stand anything around my neck!

I do keep them alone in my purse or wallet on a string and I always turn them around so that none of the back touch!

great update... so sorry to hear about the bus situation..that is a def. bummer!

I've heard about not keeping them in a wallet. Sometimes credit cards or even a cell phone can demagnetize them.

I hate wall to wall people..sometimes it makes it un-magical. Glad you got back to your resort.:happytv:

Hey Barbara,

We kept ours in lanyards the whole trip, and even still several of ours were toast by mid-trip. They first stopped working at FP machines, then not at the turnstiles either. What a pain!

I can't stand the lanyards either on my neck. The kids have them but I don't trust them with our tickets. They are known for losing things.

Thanks! It was a def. bummer. Disney has to really have to do something. If the 5 resorts are going to be in one grouping then they need 2 busses.

I don't know where Disney expects people to leave them. I keep everything in my wallet. I guess it's so they make more on pins.

One time our ticket got stuck in a FP machine and it took a while to get it out. Now I have a little passholder envelope to keep them in. It came in the mail a few weeks ago.:goodvibes
***************
Mitch got home last night from NY at around 11. Emily is still sick, so she can't go see her cousins.:guilty: So Mitch is staying home with her and me and Amy are going in about a hour.

I really have to finish up this TR. Only 11 days to go. I can't believe how fast it's coming.
******
So, I left off having issues with the passes at the DHS guest relations. The CM printed us out new tickets and gave us 3 FPs for anything in DHS. Except TSM and shows.
We went over to the tip board to find something to do. The girls really really REALLY wanted to go on TSM and the stand-by line was ridiculous. It didn't say there was no more FPs left which is what I figured so we went over there to investigate. We got 3 FPs for 7. Score!!
At this point it was 12:30 and it was hot. I had been wanting to do Backlot Tour so we went on that. 10 minute wait.

These 2 were added in to the ride last night.:lmao:
S6302903.jpg

I know. I know you probably don't get my corny jokes but the smily does.:thumbsup2
Our favorite car
S6302907.jpg

Now he's all dirty
S6302908.jpg

The show I am not leaving Disney with out seeing this time
S6302909.jpg

I'm not sure if this is part of LMAEST or BLT
S6302910.jpg

Now BLT has a recorded voice and now it's just a 'get out of the heat attraction.' It has so much potential. I think maybe they should turn it into Monster's inc.
It was hot and we needed ice cream so....
:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar
Then it was time for Muppets!
I love this show. Don't flame me. I think it's cute and I love the corny jokes.
The girls waiting for it to start:
S6302914.jpg

S6302916.jpg

Amy thinks it's just a koinkie-dink that the bird always talks to just her no matter where she sits.
Next we went in the giftshop and I tried calling Mitch to see if he was coming. No answer. Then Amy turns around in the giftshop and yells "Daddy"
Out of all the places in DHS.
Mitch said he skipped breakfast to come meet us and he was hungry. So, we decided now would be a good time for lunch.
Our choice?
Toy Story Pizza Planet!
Sorry I wasn't a DISer then. This time around though anything that goes in my mouth you will get a picture of.
The girls both had a kids' pizza and me and Mitch shared a salad and Pizza.
Then we went over to VoTLM. We were going to get FPs but the CM said we would make the next show. We waited about 25 minutes.
My only picture from the show:
S6302917.jpg

We hadn't seen it since it changed in Feb and now it pours. The part where it rains it used to just be lighting effects but now it actually rains. Not for just a second either.
After VoTLM we saw some friends from playhouse.
First was my boy Leo. No, I am not dumping Donald. Leo is my boy, but..... Donald is my man.:thumbsup2
Picture limit. Let me start a new post.

S6302918.jpg

Lookie, Lookie at what I just learned to do!-
S6302920-1.jpg

I learned how to rotate images.:cool2:
S6302919-1.jpg

The day before, Goofy signed Emily's autograph book upside down. Today Leo did the same and then when Emily told him it was the wrong way, he pointed at Goofy's name and did the crazy sign.
I couldn't let the girl's have all the fun. Now could I?
S6302921.jpg

Excuse my awful hair. The running around like crazy and the heat was really starting to get to it.
Not the best picture of me.

Next we saw our friends Jo-Jo and Gouiliya (How on earth do you spell the lion's name)
S6302923.jpg

S6302924.jpg

I think this might be the only family shot from the whole trip.:confused3
S6302925-1.jpg

We said goodbye to our playhouse friends and parted separate ways.
Mitch and Amy went to go use ONE of the 3 anything FPs for TOT and Emily and I went to Magic of Disney animation.
I had wanted to see the guys from UP all week. Finally the line wasn't too bad so we hoped in. Except Doug wasn't there.
S6302926.jpg

S6302927.jpg

The old man's name is Carl, correct? Or is it Russel? We anyways he was grouchy and wouldn't touch anybody.
Then we both colored.
S6302928.jpg

And saw another friend
S6302930-2.jpg

Mickey!!
S6302929-1.jpg

S6302931-1.jpg

The kiss was Mickey's idea. Don't tell Donald I cheated on him. Okay?::yes::
Then we met back up.
And switched kids.
I took Amy and Mitch took Emily. Amy and I went and saw Muppets again and Emily and Mitch used 2 of the anything FPs for TSM. He talked the CMs into it after a couple minutes of accepting the NO TSM FPs.
Mitch had brought his new camera to the park that day.
These are the only pictures he took with the camera the whole trip:lmao:-
S6302932.jpg

S6302428-1.jpg

S6302430.jpg

S6302434.jpg

Emily had wanted to take a drawing class on arrival day and earlier when we saw Mickey and UP but both times we couldn't because we had to meet up with Mitch and Amy from TOT both times. So, when we met up we all took one. We learned how to draw our Cricket friend, Jiminey.
The CM cracked some jokes on Emily's expense and at the end gave her the sample picture.
I'll post pics of all the drawings when I post the sovy pics.
We all did GMR one more time and left around 4.
We took the boat to the swan for dinner at Garden Grove.
Looking at the pics I was wearing a different shirt so I'm guessing we went back to the room and I changed. Not sure why.:confused3
The characters were so quick. Each only came once and both times both girls were up getting food.
The food was o.k. Kind of a rip-off but we hadn't been to a character place the whole trip and it was the only one I didn't need an ADR for. I don't think we'll be eating here for a while.
S6302933.jpg

S6302934-1.jpg

S6302935-1.jpg

fun fun fun...congrats on the rotation of the pics!
:wave2:
Hey Connie,
Yes, a lot of fun was being had but deep inside I was sad about leaving the next day.
Thanks:hug:
*****
Anybody notice my new avator? I wanted something festive and for my trip. I can now say I am going to Disney World next Saturday :woohoo:
Tomorrow is my 10 day dance. The girls have off from school tomorrow and Mitch has of from work. So, I want to do something just don't know what. I got us each a mini pumpkin to paint on Halloween and between me and you they were never painted yet.:scared1: I also have cookie dough so maybe we'll bake cookies. I also want to see A Christmas Carol. It got terrible reviews in the newspaper but DISers are saying such good things about it.
Emily is still sick. She missed school today again but her coughing has slowed. She has been up the past two nights choking the whole night and I have been up with her. I really hopes she goes back to school Thursday. She has already missed 4 days plus she'll be missing 3 for our trip.
Well, I'm going to go work on a TR update.
Bye:wave2:

Great and fun avitar!!! I can't believe you leave next Saturday; wish I could...
Ashton and I enjoyed "A Christmas Carol"!
:wave2:

After Dinner we took the boat back to DHS. First stop was 6:00 idol. I forgot what time we got there but we got second row seats but the camera never came our way because we were to in to the left. This time we stayed for the whole show and the girls loved it. It's on my list for this trip. When we got out it was pouring and we were stuck in the idol giftshop. I wanted to stay and wait it out even though I had no breathing space. Mitch wanted to take the girls on Star Wars because none of them had ever been on it. They all poncho-d and umbrella-d up and were out. 5 minute wait for them. I decided to venture out into the rain too. Except I didn't go on star wars I went shopping. We met up on one of the shops on Hollywood and Shopped for a few minutes. I got some postcards and a pen and the girls each got a pin. Finally it had stopped raining.:worship: Also it was time to use our TSM FPs. We only had 3 but the CM let us on. This was my first time and I loved it. I was a little worried I would get motion sickness so that's why I saved it for the last night. I can't wait to ride it again. After TSM we went to the Tip Board to find something else to do. TOT only had a 13 minute wait. The whole day the crowds were pretty low. Plus, it was memorial day!
Mitch and Amy rode AND so did Emily. Mitch said she was so scared. EMily said she was never riding it again. The part when you come up and down really fast, some guy in the front row stuck his leg out:scared1::eek::confused::scared1::sad2::guilty::scared1::scared1::scared1:
The CMs had to quickly press the brakes. Thank Goodness the guy was o.k! They were stuck up there for about 10 minutes before they turned on the lights and brought them down. First I went shopping on Sun set and then went to go ride for their ride picture. It never showed up. So much for buying Emily's first and I think last TOT picture. At this point it was around 8. We told the girls that they could agree on one last ride. Emily chose GMR. (TSM was 65 minutes) Amy chose RRC. RRC was only 5 minutes so Mitch took Amy on that and Me and Emily went to the bathroom. When they were done we went on GMR. 2 minute wait. When we got off it was 8:50 we decided to run over to MODA for the last drawing class of the day. This time we drew Mickey. Amy couldn't get enough of the drawing class. She loves Arts and Crafts. After that we shopped on Main street. Well Main Street that went Hollywood and then called it a night because we wanted to make EMH at MK the next morning and um.. also the park had been closed for 30 minutes.

Emily is in her bed calling me. Be back in a few.

Great and fun avitar!!! I can't believe you leave next Saturday; wish I could...
Ashton and I enjoyed "A Christmas Carol"!
:wave2:
Thanks Connie!
I can't believe it either. Your time will come soon enough. After this trip we aren't going back until thanksgiving 2010.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. Ashton wasn't scared? In the previews some parts looked kind of scary. I think we'll so see it tomorrow. Depending on how Em is feeling.

Hello all!
Emily has a fever again of 99.2! I'm hoping I can actually sleep tonight. So tomorrow no christmas carol. I want her to just to take it easy. Her birthday is on Sunday. So, I want her to be better by then. Plus Disney next week.:dance3: I have to take Amy to the music store tomorrow. That's about a half hour drive. SHe just had her first band concert last week.
Amy is 3rd chair in her class out of 20 clarinets.
Here are some pictures the Band photographer took in her class about a month ago:
She is the one in the brown. These are the best I found of her on the website
