Here's a pic of Disney Village from across the Lake first thing in the morning.

Once again we were at the Park by 8, only for it to remain closed until 8.10. By this time there was an enormous crowd waiting to get in. It seems more and more people are cottoning on to how good EMH are. We started off on Peter Pan, then Dumbo and then Buzz where I WON again.

Husband was not trying to be cool, but the morning sun was really low and bright, hence the sunglasses. :cool2:

Husband and Dtr went on Space Mountain then Dtr went on again. We were waiting by the exit for her, so were next to the cannon which fires the whole thing – we could quite clearly hear her shouting “trois, deux, un” as it took off! I took this photo after she got off - you can see how lovely the day was again.

It was only 9.10 by now but the Park was already as busy as I have seen it during the middle of day in previous Februarys. Buzz had a 35 minute wait and Pinocchio was 45 mins! :scared1: We thought this must be a mistake and took a chance on it – fortunately it was only 20 minutes. Husband and Dtr went to queue at Frontierland to ride BTM at rope drop while I had a look in the shops down Main Street. At 10 o’clock I went to get them FPs for another ride on BTM then met them and Dtr had her photo taken with Chip and Dale in their native American gear. They were in a very playful mood and kept pulling her Minnie ears over her eyes.

It was time for the BTM FPs and they were very useful as the normal queue was 50 minutes long while the FP queue took less than 5 minutes. Apparently it was exhilarating and just keeps getting better. We went to Adventureland and went onto POTC for a 20 minute wait – which is quite long for that ride, but it turned out they were only filling one boat at a time. This meant we were able to go round twice, so it was definitely worth the wait. We were on our own in the boat the second time so we all posed for our photo and bought that on the way out. pirate:
We went next on PM and walked round Boot Hill, listening to the heartbeat coming from the tomb. We wandered back down Main Street and thought about going on the train but the queue was very long. As we left the station the view down Main Street was really nice, I thought.

We left the Park and stopped at Annettes to get some take-away vanilla milkshakes and chips. We sat by Lake Disney to slurp and munch our way through these goodies – it was such a glorious day.
Back at the hotel Dtr and I had a rest while Husband did something he has never done before. He voluntarily, without threat or coercion, with no good reason, actually went shopping. He hates shopping even when he has something he needs and ABSOLUTELY hates window shopping, but he decided to have an ‘expotition’ to Val d’Europe. It turned out to be quite an adventure as one road was closed so he ended up on the autoroute, but he turned round at Bussy St George and finally ended up at the shops. After all that, the only thing he bought was a coffee at Starbucks. When he got back to SL it was time to head back to the Park for our booking at the Silver Spur Steakhouse. We just love that restaurant and it didn’t disappoint this time. When we first got in there I was studying the menu and musing out loud whether to have this dish or that. I noticed my husband was flipping backwards and forwards through the pages and not reading it properly – finally he said “How are you reading all that out? Where’s the English?” I told him the writing in red ink was English but he still kept flipping through the pages. I looked over and realised he had been given a French/Spanish menu instead of a French/English one. I’m afraid this still makes me laugh now when I think of it - it was the puzzled look on his face as I read out all the dishes. :rotfl: Anyway I will review the food on the restaurant thread.
Just the thing after a slap-up meal – a 360 loop! Husband and Dtr went on Indiana Jones then we all went on IASW and Snow White and then decided POTC would be our last ride of the night. They asked if we wanted to go round again so of course we did. That’s what I love about POTC – you so often get 2 bites of the cherry.
The crowds were really bad as we left the Park as Candleabration had just finished, so we decided to delay our shopping for a while. We went to the hotel and had a cup of tea in our room and headed back to the Village about 8.30. Husband watched some footy in the Sports Bar while Dtr and I spent some money. She finally bought the King Louie plush she has wanted for so long. Back at our room once more we got into bed and watched Toy Story in German.
Tomorrow – rain is forecast; will the Parks be quieter? – Can all the thrill rides be done in one day?

I can just imagine your DH sitting there desperately trying to read the English menu! Great report, looking forward to the next day! Thanks for sharing.
