Yay! I was happy to check the DIS this morning and see an update from you, Mary Ellen.
It took me long enough, didn't it?

I try my best, but I am always so slow to get back up to speed after vacation.
I'd be interested in reading how your Tampa trip/stay at ASSp went. I talked up the Gulf coast enough that I hope you enjoyed it.
We arrived to ASSp fairly late - probably about 10:30 pm. We had a nice room location in the Hoops Hotel (request) and it took minutes to get to the main lobby. The only thing that struck me was that the room seemed SO small. I'm sure that's after staying exclusively DVC for the last several years. But the room was cute and the resort was super cute. It was perfect for the night.
I also loved our trip over to Tarpon Springs, but the traffic was much heavier than I anticipated. Anyway - I will def do a mini TR for my gulf coast adventures.
Oh, those pictures of the little ones dancing with Jessie are just too cute!
And instant FPs?! Man, lucky people.
Aren't they adorable. It really was precious.
Dare I say I was actually a little jealous about the instant FP's?
You can never have too many castle pictures. I, for one, didn't mind seeing them. They made me imagine for a few seconds that I was relaxing with my feet up on the Peoplemover and was watching the castle go by.
Peoplemover is just one of those perfect, fell good rides. I just love it and I was happy to be able to capture so many castles pics on such a perfect park day!
Great update. I love POC and the People Mover. Sadly I think that will be down for refurb when I am there in May.
Thanks!
And they are BOTH going to be down in May? Drat! I'll be there in May. Boo! Out of the two I will miss the PeopleMover most. I just love that ride!
Instant FP's -very cool. Who can turn them down.
I know, right? How lucky were they! I was just a tad jealous!
I must be the only person who goes to Florida and doesn't go to the resort pool. I spend 2 1/2 months at the pool every summer - we belong to a swim club. That is all the pool time I need every year. Looking forward to hearing about it though.
I'm just the opposite. I don't have access to a pool on a regular basis during the summer so I totally enjoy the resort pools. To me that's an important part of the trip. I love the relaxation and the chance to enjoy some down time and an adult beverage. Don't forget the adult beverage!
I know most people love Food and Wine, but to me Epcot will always be Flower and Garden. It's been way too long since I've seen it.
I think its interesting how F&G is turning to be more like F&W. The additions of the kiosks and now the passport. Disney is so smart at getting you to part with your money, but I do think having extra things to visit (and more foods to eat) adds an extra dimension to the whole F&G experience. It's really special!
Ahh Pirates is just classic Disney. And honestly, it still stands up technologically speaking today I think. I know they've updated it over the years, but still, it has always been really impressive.
I agree with that. It's got so much going for it - a water ride, holographics, animatronics. It's a great classic!
MOVE IT SHAKE IT!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! It's getting so I recognize all the performers now.
I know you LOVE that parade. It is funny when you do start recognizing the performers!
I say get all the castle photos you can. With the new pathways and whatnot being built, it's going to look different in the future I think.
You should have seen it a few weeks ago - it looked so bad with all the water out of the moat. It was really sad!
And I always wonder why more people don't take advantage of the off to the side PP Castle photos. They feel more personal to me.
I have always loved that view. It's so unique and its because of the water and the reflection of the castle in the water during different times of the day!
