The Empty Nesters Magical Mystery Tour *1/28* Link to New Girl's TR p141

Wow, so many DISmeets set up for your May trip! Can't wait to hear all about them, and if Cynthia has any to add. Must be exciting to need a spreadsheet to keep up with them all.

We are definitely going to need a spreadsheet. No doubt about it! :rotfl2:

I expect there will be a lot of MB mix-ups in the future until they get all of the kinks worked out of the system. :scared:

Overall I liked the way the MB's worked. I think I used them at a good time. I hope I continue to like the MB's. I guess time will tell.

I love heading to MK on the boats! So many sites to take in, and picture opportunities! :cool1:

I agree. There is something so relaxing about sailing (well not literally) across Bay Lake. I really do get a sense of peace while I'm there. :thumbsup2

Looks like your first park day got off to a great start, and was action packed! :thumbsup2

We did get off to a great start and there is plenty more fun to come!

Mary Ellen - :wave2: Hope you are well. Glad Nick had a great first semester and settled on Mechanical! My boys are doing well. Connor is loving Lehigh and Sean is sad to be graduating in May as he has loved it so much! And the winter break thing - I totally get it :rotfl2: Right there with you!

Can you believe your oldest is graduating? That is crazy. I hope his job prospects are good. You'll have to keep me posted. And I'm glad to hear that Connor is loving it just as much. It's such a beautiful campus. Lot's of snow up there this year.

Enjoying your report and pictures as always! BWV view very nice. I love the Epcot area. We are trying WL in April and just hoping we won't miss Y&BC.

I love the BW. That was my third time staying there and I just love it. I hope you like the WL. It's a gorgeous resort but you just can't beat the Epcot resorts for location, location, location!

Little Mermaid - so cute, I rewatched the movie after we returned from our trip in September. It is a cute ride, think DH has same opinion as Denny.

Rebecca

:rotfl2: Now there's a shock! It's a guy thing. Denny tolerates it, but he can definitely do without it. :rotfl2:

Don't forget about me! I over lap on your last day, hoping we can make something work :hyper:

I totally forgot about that. I can't believe I did. But YAYAYAYAYAY :cool1: So excited that we are going to meet. That is so awesome! And where is your newest TR Missy? I am having withdrawal!

Love that you were so excited to get to the park! Sounds like a fun morning so far, and total bonus your room was ready :)

Total bonus with the ready room. I totally didn't expect that. And I just loved out room view. It was so perfect!

Driving on property is such a magical thing. YAY for a boat ride, I am looking over at the Poly for progress but man it looks so sad right now with the construction going on.

It really DOES look sad. Very sad. It's such a pretty resort. I hate to see it so marred with all that equipment. I'll be curious to see how things look in a few weeks.

Way to knock off a couple of the E ticket rides.

:thumbsup2 Gotta love it!

I love the borders.

Thanks, but not expect me to keep up with it. It takes to darn long.

I'm super excited to meet you too!!! How can Yeti not be there! :rotfl: I'm still thinking Jellyrolls sounds good too! Maybe we can do a Ditch meet AND a Jellyrolls meet! No, I'm not a lush......:rolleyes1

No. Not AT ALL! :rotfl2: I'm good with either or both. I really do love the Ditch. It's such a cool place and I am totally ready for a Ditch rita! :cool1: Of course, I have never been to Jellyrolls, so I'd like to check that out too!

Isn't there a dry cleaners and a chinese restaurant in all strip malls? I thought that was part of the "strip mall" criteria? :rotfl:

:rotfl: It pretty much is! :rotfl:

We're doing a minor split stay in May (Boardwalk for everything except the last night, then we're at Art of Animation), and I thought the same thing! I was like "we gotta color code these!"

You know what they say about great minds! :thumbsup2 So cool that you are getting to stay at AoA. I really want to stay there one of these trips. It just looks so super cool!

Labyrinth like! They halls at the Boardwalk are Labyrinth like, complete with David Bowie! (I wish...)

:rotfl2: They are crazy long, but the view is always so worth it!

Yup, not a huge fan of the Boardwalk buses here either. But I'll deal with it for the primo location.

Exactly. Not a fan of the buses or the parking lot, but I absolutely love the resort and the location. I just love it there!

I haven't heard anything on the opening date yet, but they're making really good progress. They were running trains when we were there last month. :hyper:

I bet that was cool to see. I want to see some trains on the track. Very cool!

Wow, you guys were just getting there and a DISmeet already! Nice!!

That was purse luck. I did not expect that at all! :cool1:

Get a FP+ for BOG! It was super super easy! And it doesn't take away from your 3 FP's daily.

I have no idea where to find that as a FP option. I won't be at MK during the day during my next trip. I'll eventually get around to having lunch there. Gotta keep some things on the bucket list, right?

We did the fastpass for BOG, it was wonderful! There was quite a line, but we walked up to the FP booth, checked in & walked right in with no wait. I had preordered our food so all we needed to do was pay. All was good, we had the onion soup & a sandwich ewe shared.

That sounds like its the way to go. Like I said above, I did not even see that as an option. I'm not sure how to do that. I guess I flunk DIS 101, but I know I will eventually get around to eating lunch there. I wouldn't mind just having a cupcake. The place is so gorgeous I'd like to see it again.

Hello MEK! Remember me? ;) I can't believe it has been 4 months since I've been on the DISboards but after life got in the way for a while, I'm backkkkk! Glad to see you are posting on this TR. I just started back on my TR from the October, 2013 trip. I'm looking forward to yours so much! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Bill and welcome back to the DIS boards. You have definitely been missed and MIA.

You have a October 2013 TR. I need to find that pronto. :thumbsup2 I want to read all about your week.

Joining IN !! Good grief - 10 pages already?? Going back to read!!

Susan

Sounds like you have quite a few DIS meets set up. :thumbsup2

Well, they aren't all set, but with Cynthia and her spreadsheet, I'm sure they will be. lol! I think this is going to be an all time high for DIS meets. :thumbsup2

:yay::yay::yay: you've arrived at Disney. I love that entrance photo...good job.

Finally, right?

That entrance photo would have been a bit better if I had remembered to take down out parking pass from the Fairfield Inn. Oh well. Live and learn! :rotfl:

Good thing to know about the MB's; we will have a split stay in September so I'll be sure we get different colors.

I'm sure most people would be fine with the same bands but since I am an air head color coding is the way to go!

Glad you got on SM first and then got over to Mermaid and saw all the construction going on at the Mine Ride. I've not heard any updates on opening? I heard at one point early summer, but who knows if that has changed?

I am really keeping my fingers crossed for this May. Please, Please, PLEASE! I know they just took down some of the barrier walls, so at least now I'll get to enjoy some of the scenery!

Mark and I are going to do the FastPass for BOG in September.

That sounds like the way to do it!

I'm so glad you got to see Melissa; she looks terrific.

I'm glad I got to see her, too. And she does look terrific. ::yes::

Sorry you have a cold, but glad you got to have a rest and movie day. I don't know anything about Candy Crush, but a lot of people play it, so I guess it's a fun way to pass some time.

I am addicted to Candy Crush. I have wasted too much time playing that game. I still have 150 levels to go so I guess I guess I'll be with it for awhile.

I am not a fan of Mondays. :sad2: Fridays - now those I am more fond of......but if we could add more Saturdays and Sundays to the week, I'd be exceptionally happy! ::yes::

Mondays stink. I feel better once Monday is done. At lunch time I think - "Ok I've got this". :rotfl: Except when I'm on vacation! :rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I felt good yesterday, but today not so much. Hopefully tomorrow. I just kept thinking how sick you got in December. It's such a fine line between a cold and severe bronchitis or pneumonia.

Yay for arriving at Disney! I heard that the mine train may be up and running by the time they roll in the new parade.

:cool1: It's always great to take that first step on Disney property.

I just hope the mine train is up and running by May. I really can't wait to check it out. It's going to be so fun. The scenery looks gorgeous.

We have two different reservations for our next trip and we've chosen two sets of colors. I was afraid that they'd get mixed up and I'd run into snags.

With your silly crew two sets of bands is probably better. :rotfl: I know exactly what you mean about snags. I know the more people I travel with, the more likely I am to forget or misplace something important. I tend to get more absent minded as the trip goes on. :rotfl:

Not quoting so I hope I'll make sense.

We actually didn't get lost. My DH knows directions aren't my strong point so he used the GPS on his phone. I give directions that tell him to go up and to the right, something like that so he tends to have a back up plan.

I don't dislike the MB's but we had some major issues with them on our trip. Once they work out the kinks I think they will be much better.

Yes I am going towards the end of May. I'll catch the last day of the F&G so I am really hoping to see and eat as much as possible. I loved it last year. I also manage to get a day at Star Wars weekend. I don't think my traveling companion is as happy about that. I am going with a friend I met here on the DIS. It will be our 3rd trip to Disney together.

I have no idea where to find that as a FP option. I won't be at MK during the day during my next trip. I'll eventually get around to having lunch there. Gotta keep some things on the bucket list, right?

I had no idea where to find it at first either, but then I found this.

All caught up! Bummer, I'm just missing you, Danielle, AND Alicia! :(

I think your Little Mermaid pictures are great! Better than anything I could do, hahah.

So fun that you got to see Melissa! It's too bad she's not around anymore.

Mary Ellen, hope you are feeling better, I hate hearing you are sick.

Sorry I haven't been on much here of late. I kept looking on your links page and didn't see any links, silly me. I should have remembered you don't always put them there until later. I finally clued in to your dates posted of when you last updated.

I have never done the ferry into MK before, then again we've never driven or had a reason to come in that way. It looks like a really pretty ride. Well, all except for seeing the new Grand villas. :scared: I'm sorry to complain about anything Disney, and I'd stay there in a heart beat I really would but geez Louise, did they have to make the building so unattractive?!? (no flames :rotfl:)
For the GFV you'd have thought they wouldn't have put such a plain Jane looking building next to one of the most beautiful resorts in all of WDW. :sad2: Very disappointing.

The walk up to MK is one of the best feelings in the world, is it not?!? :goodvibes And for you to have a Dis meet so quickly once you were there had to be pretty nice. Melissa looks great!! Wow, girl!! I'm seriously impressed! :cheer2:

So what did Denny think of LM ride this time? He probably didn't say much this time since he's been on it already, am I right?

And yes, Danielle is right, get yourself a FP for BOG, you will not regret eating there. :) With your amazing camera skills you need to get in there and take it all in!! ::yes::

Can't wait to see what other fun y'all have. :thumbsup2

:wave2: Hi! Mary Ellen. I am here and at the beginning of the trip, finally! My dis time had not been very good last year so I am trying to do better.

:welcome: Erika! I'm so glad to see you back on the boards! Thanks for joining in! :cool1:

I had no idea you didn't cruise last year. So happy that you are this year. I know you will love it. And a back to back....way to go!

Yeah - it was a tough decision but between our friends bailing, Denny getting a stent in April, and our DVC add-on purchase, we decided just to push it back a year. By next October Denny will be off his blood thinner and he will be well over a year from his stent, so his chance of having a problem from that stent will be very much reduced.

What a great view from your room! I have always gotten a view of the pool.

I loved the view. The pool view is fabulous, but this was nice because it was so darn private. I really loved it!

I had not seen any pictures of the Poly construction yet so thank you! I fought the urge to add on at the GFV and am holding out for Poly. Love the pics of the GFV too.

I know quite a few people who are dying to add on at the Poly. I just hope I get a chance to stay there. No more add-ons for me. I'm done. I promise. :rotfl:

Hope you are well. Can't wait to read more.

Doing very well and more TR coming up soon.

CRAP!!!! I did a multiquote reply and lost it.

Well I still give you props for all the multi-quotes you have done in the past. So you get a pass! :thumbsup2

In summary... The magic band thing seems like a pain. I really hope that eventually, they get it to the point that a split stay can be done entirely on one set of bands so you don't have these kinds of problems.

It would be nice to do it all on one band. Cynthia said one band worked for her. Part of our problem was we actually left Disney for a couple days and then had our second stay. I don't know how you can make those two stays connect. Oh well!

I really enjoyed the construction pictures from the mine train. I really can't wait to see this ride up and running!

Me either. I just read that they took down some of the construction walls. I saw a short video clip on FB and it just looks SOOOO cool. Can't wait! :cool1:

Congrats on yet another successful Dismeet. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I love a good DIS meet. There are more to come!

UGH- sorry you are not feeling well- there is so much going around! Hope you feel a little better today-

Thanks Ellen! I actually finally started feeling better this afternoon and now Denny is getting sick. :faint: It figures. I was feeling good Monday but after I ran 3 miles on the treadmill I started feeling like crap again. Go figure!

That stinks not being able to find your hotel- glad you got there EVENTUALLY- even better that you were checking in at WDW the next morning! It is very different getting to MCO at night, isn't it? I kind of liked it- I actually got some sleep the night before flying down when we did it.

I liked it too. I just settled in with a movie and before I knew it, we were there. It's really hard for me to leave first thing in the morning. I can NEVER sleep the night before. This just works better!

So, the Magic Bands....they are REALLY REALLY good when they work! Not so much when they don't! And the split-stay issue is yet another problem! I thought ultimately they are planning on issueing them just once- but they are still figuring everything out. We also had double bands- I don't even remember using the other ones, when we switched over to BCV, but I guess we must have. Really confusing! VERY good idea picking different colors, though! :thumbsup2

We went to Saint Augustine for two days between our two resort stays, so I'm not sure if there is much to be done about that. I am just going to keep color coding my bands. Other than mixing them up that once we had no problems. They worked like a charm.

I wanted to tell you, too, I forgot you had a son at Salisbury- one of my best friends has a daughter there, she is a Freshman and loves it! :goodvibes

That is so great to hear. I swear I never hear about anyone not liking it there. I guess there are people who don't, but most people seem to love it. It's the perfect size - not too small and not too big. Plus I think they have their act together. I was much more impressed with their orientation compared to UD's. I also like that they are making kids live on campus for two years now. I think that's very smart. My son also loves it there. It was a great choice for him. And its not crazy expensive for an out of state school.

Fell better-

Thanks! :good vibes

Sorry you have a cold Mary Ellen. Hope you are feeling better today. I have been checking the 2013 Food Booth menus and pix, and am sure I will be waddling out of Epcot that day!!! Lots of YUMMIES!!!!!

Thanks Rosie. I am feeling MUCH better today!

It is amazing how many yummy foods that have at the booths. And its impossible to try them all! But that's not going to stop us from trying. :rotfl2:

MEK, I hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks Kathy! I think I am finally back to the land of the living! ::yes::

Love the borders!!! They can even make crappy pictures look good too!.

I learned everything I know from you Jen! ;)

You got some great pictures that morning. It's so bright and sunny and blue. I almost forget what weather like that is.

I do forget what a sunny day looks like. I am just about done with winter. I can't wait for spring and summer!

Somehow I managed to not comment on this TR yet. For shame! I'm definitely here and I'll be getting caught up tomorrow!

Hey - no worries - It happens. Somedays I find myself so far behind and other days I feel like I am really on top of my subbed TRs. You'll get back here.

For a second when you said, "Alicia and her family will be there too", I was like, I am?! YAY I'M GOING IN MAY!...then sadness took over...wrong Alicia :rotfl::rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I cracked up when I read that! Well, if I could sneak you in my suitcase you know I would!

But really cool that you'll be having so many DIS meets! Yes, Cynthia needs to get one of her famous spreadsheets going on.

Oh, we are TOTALLY going to need a spreadsheet for this trip! :rotfl:

Danielle, if you're reading this, I BETTER see the Yeti on this trip :thumbsup2:rotfl:

She promised me that Yeti would make a guest appearance. I'm holding her to that!

Joining! Now going back to catch up! :)

:welcome: Tracy! Thanks for joining in! :thumbsup2

I feel like the picture you have of that Walgreens across the street from your hotel is the Walgreens Brandon and I always go to on our trips to get water and everything! :rotfl2: It's not a big deal, and it might not even be the same one, but it just made me so sad, not knowing the next time I'll be in Disney! :sad1:

It might be. Do you go to the one right outside of DTD. That's where we were. Of course, I didn't realize that right away.

I hope you guys are able to plan a new Disney trip soon. I know how hard it is not to have your next trip planned. Fingers crossed that you get one planned soon.

Oh no, Magic Band mix up! These things are more trouble than they're worth, I'm really not a big fan. But at least your room was ready, and the view was awesome! :thumbsup2

I absolutely loved our view. It was so perfect, yet so private. I was really pleased and having the room ready was a bonus!

Love that you went right to a park, why wait? :dance3: Your pictures from the Little Mermaid are so nice, mine are always so horrible on the dark rides!

Why wait is right! I wanted to get right in there because I knew we had to go to Walmart in the afternoon. It just made sense to get right into that park!

And wow, that line for BoG at 10:30 is crazy! I think you can get a FP now for lunch though, right? If I end up going this year, I'll probably do that, bc I like lunch better than dinner there and there's no way I'm waiting in that line! :rotfl2:

Yes - you can. In fact Danielle was kind enough to post the link. I've heard the line moves fast, but any line that long is super intimidating for me.

You meet so many DIS'ers on your trips! I wonder if we'll ever be in the parks at the same time!!

I really hope we are. That would be so great to meet up! :thumbsup2

Following along! :)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Joining IN !! Good grief - 10 pages already?? Going back to read!!

Susan

:welcome: Susan! Thanks so much for joining in! Good to see you here! :thumbsup2

Not quoting so I hope I'll make sense.

We actually didn't get lost. My DH knows directions aren't my strong point so he used the GPS on his phone. I give directions that tell him to go up and to the right, something like that so he tends to have a back up plan.

A back up plan is always good! :thumbsup2 Glad you didn't get lost because getting lost is a major pain!

I don't dislike the MB's but we had some major issues with them on our trip. Once they work out the kinks I think they will be much better.

That seems to be the general consensus. I hope MB's become seamless in the future. That will be great!

Sounds like Cynthia and I. We also met on the boards and this will be our 3rd trip together! I'm glad you are going to get to the last day of F&G. That's great! Enjoy!

Thanks Tammie! It was weird - as each event happened I thought I was taking it all in stride and then *boom* it all caught up with me. So far 2014 has been good. All except the weather and even that isn't bothering me too much.
Glad 2014 is going better!:thumbsup2

Did you have trouble adjusting? I guess everyone must have to some degree. I'm really glad we planned an empty nest trip. We deserved it. .

It was hard, and I had to do it twice. We took a trip both times, too. When my youngest DS got married as a freshman in college, DH said "this will be fun!" Six months later, I looked at him and said, "when does this get fun?" But then we went on our first cruise, and they had our first grandson, and the the house filled up again with babysitting and more grandbabies, and then they moved in with us to finish college. When they left the state I was devastated. We took a trip to DLR and then a few months in Idaho with DH working there. I did adjust, and now I like my quiet time, even though I love to spend time with those grandkids!

You will find your peace, too. I remember someone said it was like a honeymoon time - hmmm, maybe. ;) Life is what you make it!

Love the pictures from The Little Mermaid! For some reason, I just really love that ride even though I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid. I think it was just because it was a new experience for me whereas most of the other rides have been there for quite some time already. I think I'll have that same love for the Mine Train! SO thrilled for that to finally open!

Yay for a DISmeet! It's really funny to see that so many of my DIS only friends then became friends on Instagram and Twitter and now even Facebook! I love the DIS community!

What fun DIS meets you have planned for May...I'm going to have to try one of those one of these days!

I'm kind of with Denny on VoLM; while I like many of the aspects, I just think it should really be a boat ride. Mermaid = water in my book and I feel like it would just be more complete if we were on a "boat".

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better MagicBand experience when we head back in two weeks...hopefully they have the kinks worked out for AP holders now!

I like the view from the room.
Love the ferry ride over. So fun to do just do it once a trip for us.
Nice pics on Mermaid.
All caught up again.

Enjoying your TR! Your title grabbed my attention, as we're empty nesters also. We've found that we really enjoy our adults only Disney trips! I also noticed that you're from Middletown, DE! We lived there until last year, when my DH accepted a new position in OH. It's a small, small world. :)

I had no idea where to find it at first either, but then I found this.

https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com

Just log in with your normal My Disney Experience account and your reservation will pull in. :)

Thanks Danielle! I appreciate you posting that! I probably won't be going to MK during lunch for this next trip, but I wouldn't mind lunch in May. I'll have to check out the spread sheet. :rotfl:

All caught up! Bummer, I'm just missing you, Danielle, AND Alicia! :(

That is totally a bummer! I hate when I just miss a DISer. It's like so close, but so far. That happened to me so many times with Dawn and Caitlin and then I finally got to see them. It took like 4 trips. :faint:

I think your Little Mermaid pictures are great! Better than anything I could do, hahah.

Thanks! Ahh - but you can notice every individual detail in there, where I most certainly can NOT. :rotfl2:

So fun that you got to see Melissa! It's too bad she's not around anymore.

I really do miss her on the DIS boards, but it was wonderful to see her in real life!

Mary Ellen, hope you are feeling better, I hate hearing you are sick.

Thanks Camille. This has been a weird week for me. I was sick over the weekend, felt good Monday, felt crappy Tuesday, felt better Wednesday, and all day today I felt blah and have had a headache. It's like I am going from one virus to the next. But according to this patent I should be feeling better tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been on much here of late. I kept looking on your links page and didn't see any links, silly me. I should have remembered you don't always put them there until later. I finally clued in to your dates posted of when you last updated.

I haven't put up one link yet. I really need to do that. I want to get everything up to date by the weekend and get my update up.

I love coming in from the ferry. It's weird, but for years I strictly took the bus. Then we had to take the ferry in June and I really liked it, so I figured "why not?"

You really don't like the new VGF building? I'll admit that it is somewhat plain, but I think its works. I really did like the beach there, so I'm sorry to see that gone. Here's the thing with the add-on DVCs - they are always going to look like an afterthought. I don't think there's any other way to do it. :confused3

The walk up to MK is one of the best feelings in the world, is it not?!? :goodvibes And for you to have a Dis meet so quickly once you were there had to be pretty nice. Melissa looks great!! Wow, girl!! I'm seriously impressed! :cheer2:

Yes - the walk up Main Street and into the MK is always the best! I was thrilled to see Melissa and she really does look fantastic. It's really inspirational!

So what did Denny think of LM ride this time? He probably didn't say much this time since he's been on it already, am I right?

He didn't say too much! :rotfl2: Not surprising!

And yes, Danielle is right, get yourself a FP for BOG, you will not regret eating there. :) With your amazing camera skills you need to get in there and take it all in!! ::yes::

Denny and I had dinner there in June. We loved the restaurant, but the dinner food was just pretty average. That's why I would like to try lunch. I want to go back in there again because of how much wonderful detail and theming there is.

Can't wait to see what other fun y'all have. :thumbsup2

More fun is on the way! :yay:

Glad 2014 is better.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I did adjust, and now I like my quiet time, even though I love to spend time with those grandkids!

It sounds like you have had a lot of adjustments since you kids hit college age. You just never know what's around the corner, when they will get married, when they will have their own kids (hopefully in that order). It took me about six weeks to get used to having no one at home. It is nice to have the quiet and a lot less laundry floating around the house. :rotfl2:

You will find your peace, too. I remember someone said it was like a honeymoon time - hmmm, maybe. ;) Life is what you make it!

In a way it is because you can finally do whatever you want and not have to worry about kids coming home. ;)

I love the LM ride, too. It's really just so colorful. It's what Nemo should have been. Plus I love a ride where you just sit back and take it all in. So perfect.

I know I am absolutely going to LOVE the Mine Train. The pictures I have seen with the wall down look so amazing. I can't wait to ride it. It's going to be great!

Yay for a DISmeet! It's really funny to see that so many of my DIS only friends then became friends on Instagram and Twitter and now even Facebook! I love the DIS community!

I do too! It really is a great community. I love the friendships I have formed with my DIS friends. Everyone just seems so genuine and honest. Gotta love that!

What fun DIS meets you have planned for May...I'm going to have to try one of those one of these days!

You definitely need a DIS meet! I was so nervous for my first one, but now I just look forward to them. It's really fun to meet a DISer in person. Not everyone "gets" a DIS meet. I know that some of my friends think its strange, but I don't care.

I'm kind of with Denny on VoLM; while I like many of the aspects, I just think it should really be a boat ride. Mermaid = water in my book and I feel like it would just be more complete if we were on a "boat".

I never really thought about that. Good point! I'm sure a boat ride would be more expensive to create. The again, maybe not. But it would be cool to look into the water and see the little mermaid. Hmmmmm - Do you think I have what it takes to be an imagineer? :rotfl2:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better MagicBand experience when we head back in two weeks...hopefully they have the kinks worked out for AP holders now!

I hope so. So you are heading there in two weeks? We will actually be there too, but only briefly. We are stopping there before and after heading to tampa for a few days.

I like the view from the room.

Thanks. I really loved the view. It was so private on that side of the building. Unique vantage point!

Love the ferry ride over. So fun to do just do it once a trip for us.

I love it too! It's just so relaxing and I get why Walt designed it that way. It's really cool to see the front of the park get closer and closer. It just builds the anticipation. :thumbsup2

Nice pics on Mermaid.

Thanks!

All caught up again.

:thumbsup2 Stay tuned. Another update coming soon!

Enjoying your TR! Your title grabbed my attention, as we're empty nesters also. We've found that we really enjoy our adults only Disney trips! I also noticed that you're from Middletown, DE! We lived there until last year, when my DH accepted a new position in OH. It's a small, small world. :)

:welcome: NanaV. Thanks for joining in!!!! :thumbsup2 I do love our adults-only trips. They are the best!

So you mean we used to be neighbors and we didn't even know it? It really IS a small world. How do you like Ohio? I hope its been a good adjustment for you and your DH!

Joining in. I am glad 2014 is starting better than 2013 did. 2013 was a rough year for several people I know including me. Planning another trip always helps!!
Love the meets you have planned for May.

Caught up! Thanks for the tip on magic bands, but I don't see myself reserving a split stay anytime soon. Too many headaches!

:faint: on the BOG line. I'd love to try it someday, but that sure does look intimidating.
