My kids do the exact same thing in the car. UGH! Except that they don't save it for special occasions..they do it all the time! My van is always a mess...and I do TRY to stay on top of it, really I do!

I love the comment about Ian's "guys". We have a box in the boys' room that we call the "guy" box...it's where they all belong. Sadly, we don't really buy "guys" anymore as my boys are growing up WAY TOO FAST! Pretty soon I'm going to have to worry more about "girls"!!

I love, love, love the car boxes!!! I think I want to make some of those for the boys to use on a daily basis. I feel like I'm loading and unloading for a week long trip every time we go somewhere in the car!

I love your shirts - they came out great!! Just be careful washing them!! I'd probably hand wash mine in the future - or at least hang them to dry... I made a bunch of shirts for our 07 trip and most of them got ruined after one wearing. I washed them inside out and everything... Not sure what I did wrong??

Thank you Amy! I think the car boxes are going to work well, and the girls and I had a fun evening making them. I hear you about the shirts. I washed Ian's last night since he had been wearing it ever since I made it and it came out fine, but I can see where it's considering flaking. That is NOT allowed!

WELL I just caught up this week on my reading -- I was so behind!!!!!!! The end of the school year was just going to be nuts for us I knew, but I was so happy to follow up on the past few days and see all of your latest POSTS! WOWOWOWOWOWOW You have been busy!

Shopping, lists, chicken-sitters, Tshirt saga, all of it!! HOW fun, you are right the excitement is tied to the planning!!!! I am so thrilled for you!

I hope yesterday was a productive day -- kid-free days are so important prior to travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't post more, I hope you have a fabulous trip! I will try to post our B-Day fun tonight!

Anyway, I have enjoyed your PTR and can't wait to see the TR!!!

Hey, guess what? We leave for WDW TOMORROW MORNING (and I use that term loosely, considering it will be about 3:00 am) Everything is done, except making sandwiches for lunch tomorrow. All the suitcases are packed, the car is packed, I'm finishing one last load of laundry and chasing the kids around making sure the house stays clean. I'm ready. We all are anxious to begin our adventure, long drive and all, so BRING IT ON! I'm not sure how I'll sleep tonight, so I may check in again, but my plan is to catch up a little, make those sandwhiches, tuck my kiddos into bed and then myself.

Thanks for reading along on this PTR. You've provided lots of insight and encouragement along the way, as well as a great outlet for my obsession. I hope to see some of you over at my TR when I get back in a couple of weeks.
