HERE IS THE LINK TO THE DYNAMIC DIETING DUO'S FOOD REPORT
Hello all WDW food lovers, or just plain WDW lovers! Welcome to my first ever Disney (pre)trip report! I'm soooo excited because in 15 days, we'll be in WDW! Yay!!! *cue round of cheering and whistling*
First and foremost, let's start with our cast, the Dynamic Dieting Duo: your host Yummy (32) (on right), and my DGF Marielune (33) (on left).
We've been together 8 years, and will be celebrating our anniversary in WDW, August 28th (wasn't planned that way). We have no kids, so we can go to WDW commando style if we want, and can stay away from anything shapped like a nugget. We're not big planners: there are things we really want to do or places we really want to eat at, plan around that, and go free-style from there. DGF and I are on a diet, somewhat... Well, mostly her. Since January this year, she's lost a whopping 45 pounds! *cue applause* The dietician's been helping us cut back on fat and starches, got us eating more veggies and proteins, etc. I haven't been so good with the diet, and only lost like 5 pounds. I guess you can say I have less to lose on this trip
This will be our third 7-day trip to WDW... IN 15 MONTHS! Yeah, neither of us ever got a chance to go to WDW when we were kids. Ever since we've been togheter, we'd say things like "One day, we'll go to WDW". You know, the kind of thing you say just to feel like you have plans, but just end up procrastinating about for years? Well, in May 2009, we finally went to WDW, and from then on, we were hooked! We went back in December 2009, and had a fabulous time. Frankly, The Master Plan was not to go back until May 2010, when we're supposed to go with my parents. But we didn't quite know what to do during our Summer vacation, and figured it wouldn't cost us much more than a week traveling somewhere new. And we know WDW will not dissapoint, so why not?
We may be the Dynamic Dieting Duo, but we're also kind of boring and predictable : we're staying at All-Star Music for the third time, and will be on the QSDP for the third time too, so we know the tune. But you know what they say: when it ain't broken, don't fix it!
So, what's the plan for our upcoming trip? Well, not much is planned per say: that's the beauty of the QSDP! We just couldn't deal with a bunch of ADRs, we have trouble enough planning our week around one ADR! So, here's the places we're sort of planning on eating at from August 21st to 28th :
Les Chefs de France (Monday August 23rd, lunch)
It's our only ADR. We're really just going to see Remy. Seriously. Don't laugh. We may only eat a breadstick and leave. Or maybe not, they do have creme brulee and profiterolles. OK, so we may eat a bite. Or two.
The rest of our meals will be in CS locations, including many returning favorites like :
All-Star Music food court (most breakfasts, and some lunches)
Wolfgang Puck Express
Starring Rolls
Tangerine Cafe
Sunshine Seasons
Yak & Yeti (not sure though, with the recent menu changes...)
Kringla Bakery
Cosmic Ray
Columbia Harbour House
As well as brand new places, such as:
Port Orlean's food court (gotta try the beignets!)
Polynesian's Captain Cooks (gotta try the Tonga toast!)
Animal Kingdom lodge's food court (zebra domes!)
Cookes of Dublin (gotta try the Doh bars!)
Earl of Sandwich (we always mean to go, and never get around to it)
Boulangerie Patisserie
Peco Bill's
Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach
I plan on taking pictures of EVERYTHING we'll eat. Yep, all 28 CS meals, all 28 snacks. Well, we do eat a fruit cup every morning, so I may use the same picture every day. But you get the idea. People often neglect snacks in their reviews, but since the QSDP is chock full of snack credits, we may as well take full advantage of it!
So, hop on, make yourselves comfortable, and see you all in September for our complete food report!
