Hello everyone!
Before I begin with Day 2, I forgot in my Day 1 post to mention our lunch at the Detroit airport, since I have no pic for it. We were so rushed to board our Orlando flight (the plane was already boarding when we finally arrived at our gate, totally out of breath), I grabbed a delicious chicken philly melt sub and a bottle of water at Charleys Grilled Subs, which we ate on the plane once our heart rate was back to normal (it smelled sooooo good, Im sure everyone on our flight was salivating!).
Paid OOP : 11.65$
I also forgot to mention in my previous posts that English is not my first language, so while I am fluent in English, I sometimes make some grammar mistakes or dumb spelling errors. Please do not hesitate to mention it if I do at some point use an expression that doesnt exist or makes no sense at all. Anyway, on with our review.

It was our first time taking the Waterparks & fun option with our WDW tickets, so we decided to hit Blizzard Beach on Sunday morning. But first, we hit our resorts food court for breakfast. We shared a French toast with chicken sausage plate (5.29$), a fruit cup (3.99$), and grabbed a bottle of water (2.50$) for later. I love that in value resorts, you can substitute one of your two breakfast drinks for a snack (fruit, fruit cup, pastry, yogurt, etc). It makes stretching the QSDP so much easier. As we did every morning during the week, we used our mugs for coffee for MarieLune, and a mix of hot chocolate and coffee for me (makes the Nescafe taste less bad).

So we hit Blizzard Beach right after breakfast. Were not big waterslide fans, so we just sailed the lazy river, rode the family raft ride a couple of times, and cooled off in the wave pool. Based on what was suggested by some on this board, we made a stop for the mini donuts stand and bought 6 mini donuts, and also got a mango smoothie (4.19$) to wash them down:
I love the smoothies on a hot day. For some reason I dont understand though, there are no straws available in the water parks, so we had to eat our smoothie with a spoon. Not the most efficient way to drink a fast-melting smoothie. Still, it was delicious and refreshing: I havent found a WDW smoothie I didnt like, and I think we tried every single flavour during this trip!

Also, I had said we wouldnt pay OOP for anything, but we did make an exception for the donuts, because they just smelled too good, and we decided we could afford 3.75$ and not feel guilty about it.

We left Blizzard Beach around noon, stopped by our resort to drop off our pool gear, then headed for Downtown Disney. We shopped a bit, but mostly went for lunch. Because of the heat and humidity, we werent hungry enough to go to Wolfgang Puck Express for a full lunch, so instead decided to go to Earl of Sandwich, our first time ever. The line was super long, so we almost turned away. However, the line seemed to be moving pretty fast, so we did stay, and it didnt take that long. Definitely dont let the length of the line at Earl of Sandwich scare you, it looks worst than it is. MarieLune held a table while I ordered. I chose the sandwich I see most recommended on this board, The Original 1762 (5.99$), which is fresh roast beef and horseradish. To go with it, I got a chocolate pudding (1.99$) and a bottle of water (2.50$) :
Wow. This was THE best roast beef sandwich ever! There was lots of meat in it, and it really tasted fresh. I know it will not sound right, but it tasted bloody, as in freshly cooked and just carved from the roast. The horseradish paired with the roast beef was superb, and the bread was great. We should have eaten there before! The chocolate pudding was good, but in retrospect, I think I should have gotten one of their yummy-looking fruit cups instead (which contain more than just cantaloupe, grapes and honeydew! Lol). Its definitely a must-do restaurant in Downtown Disney.

After our satisfying lunch, we window-shopped a bit, then went back to our resort for a quick nap, and a little snack, in the form of a strawberry milkshake (4.19$) at our food court. Those milkshakes are so thick! I think they put like 3-4 scoops of ice cream, with just a tiny bit of milk, just the bare minimum to be able to mix it :

After our mid-afternoon break, we decided to hit Hollywood Studios to try to catch Fantasmic!. There were two shows that night, so we only left our resort past 7pm. Since its a well-known fact that theres no good CS place to eat in HS (except Starring Rolls, which only opens for lunch), we elected to have dinner at our resort food court, which is unusual for us. They have lots of choices for entrees, and we can take whatever we like as dessert, including milkshakes, brownie sundaes and ice cream cookie sandwiches.
MarieLune decided to go with beef for a second time that day, with the dinner special : marinated grilled beef with corn and rice sides, and a roll (9.99$). I went with the chicken dinner, which consisted of a baked half (small) chicken with green beans & cranberry salad and zuchini salad, with a roll (9.69$). Both entrees were good, and generous portions. There were maybe 6-7 choices of sides, so a nice variety. To complete our meals, we each got low-fat milk (1.49$ each), and for dessert, we got one small dessert (yogurt parfait 4.29$) and one big dessert (ice cream cookie sandwich 4.99$) :
(btw, sorry for the picture size difference: I began saving my pics a little bigger starting from there, so the food is more visible)
A word of warning: stay AWAY from the resorts yogurt parfaits you see in the picture above! They are disgusting! The cereals are already mixed with the yogurt, so the texture is yucky, like cold lumpy oatmeal. Well definitely never take that again, it was a waste of dessert. At least, we couldnt go wrong with the ice cream cookie sandwhich, which was just as good as I recalled. I was to eat sort of healthy, so I actually had it made with the no-fat vanilla ice cream. It tasted so good and creamy, I actually suspect they put regular ice cream and just change the label on it ;-)

We were full, so we rolled our way to Hollywood Studios. We may have ridden a couple of rides, Im not even sure, my memory is a bit fuzzy. We grabbed a strawberry-banana smoothie in front of Rockn Roller Coaster :

We had no problem seeing the second showing of Fantasmic!, which was about 3/4 full. Its a good show, but in my opinion not worth standing in line for over an hour to see, unless its your first time. We went to bed later than we like to, and planned to sleep in a bit the next morning. After all, vacations are supposed to be to recharge our batteries, right?
