I just discovered the DVC shows and I have now watched all of them since I've been on quarantine. Looking forward to watching one live while my daughter complains about doing homework. :hyper2:

just watched, I agree with Pete on the points... I use my points carefully and pay my dues, the trip we had booked April 3-9th was booked with some banked points and some current. We are June UY and had banked what we had left on our Jan deadline, the rest were "tied up" in a ressie we had full intention of using. Now after cancelling we had 45 points that were put back to 2019, no way in hell can we still use those by May 31st. So we lose points that were full intended on being used and paid for them. The system in this case ( so rare) should allow us to bank them again. Frustrating on so many levels in everyone's lives right now but to also lose out because you are a DVC owner stinks.

The problem is, it isn't all up to DVC. There is the Florida timeshare laws that prevent "overselling" points and flooding the year with more points than can be used. Borrowing is generally evened out by banking, and vice-versa. But that won't be the case if points get double banked to next use year, then they may have to suspend borrowing. Meaning other members may not be able to use their points as they want. I'm sure DVC, Disney, and the legal team must be looking at what they can or can not legally do. I wonder if DVC can have a temporary one year lease on some regular deluxe hotel rooms, and then release them to members for studio point values? The main difference would be two beds. Don't regular deluxe rooms have fridges now? Do they have microwaves? It's been 25 years since I've stayed in a regular deluxe room.

Enjoyed the show.

They don't know anything more than we do from reading the forums, but I was happy to see everyone working from home. No skier_pete today, though.
