Day 13, May 17; Flying back home!
When we woke up, we really realised it was time to go home.
We had an afternoon flight and didn't have to check out before 11.00, so we had enough time to pack our suitcases. We stayed in our bed untill 9.30 and after that we took a shower and packed our suitcases.
We went to Sizzler's to have a nice breakfast for the last time this vacation. When we got back in our room, we watched some tv untill 10.45 am and said our goodbyes to our room. I was really going to miss this bed!
But hey, everything good must come to an end... Gerbert did the check out and after that we drove to the airport. I know we were quite early, because our flight wasn't going untill 3 pm, but we never rented a car before and we didn't know how much time that was going to take.
But everything went extremely fast, we dropped our car off and checked ourselves is and after that we still had 3,5 hours left before our flight!
We first had a frappuchino at Starbucks, where Gerbert stayed to use the wifi spot for a while. I did some shopping. Orlando has a really nice airport! After two hours or so, Gerbert was done with the internet and he took this picture of me in front of the

We got to board the plane around 2.30 and the plane to Houston left right on time. It was a nice flight with the same entertainment as on the way to Orlando, but it kills time
We arrived in Houston at 4.30 and had 2,5 hours to catch our next plane to Amsterdam. We got a bite to eat at Burger King and visited some shops.
We also watched some CNN on tv and we re-watched some pictures, because internet wasn't available for free here
The flight to Amsterdam also left right on time and it was a nice flight. I watched "Freedom Writers", "Because I said so" and a small part of "Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban". I even slept for an hour or so. Dinner was nice again, I chose the chicken.
In the morning, we also got a croissant with a fresh fruit salad.
We had a huge tailwind, so we arrived 50 minutes early at Schiphol airport.
At Schiphol, we met with some friends who were flying to Orlando that day! After that, we got our suitcases pretty quick. Mine was missing its green suitcase belt... I wonder where that thing is....
We were in a train home one hour after landing, which is pretty fast!
The train ride was an hour or so and my mom picked us up from the trainstation. We had some coffee/tea at my parents' house and finally were home around 1.30, where we started doing some laundry.
A great vacation had ended...
In the week after our vacation, we were both ok with being home. We got to go to work soon after we got back and returned to our normal rhythms. But after being home for about a week or so, we (and especially me
) were getting home sick to Disney/Orlando
We started talking about it a LOT and after I discovered I again had a two week holiday in april/may 2008, Gerbert suddenly said: "Why don't we go again next year?". I was stunned!
Gerbert, the one who was really going to Disneyworld to please me, wanted to go again!
I knew he had fun, but I didn't know he had THAT much fun (Looking at pictures now, I do see that though!)
But hey, this means we could go to Disneyworld again!
In my head, I said goodbye to everything, knowing that we would never return. But we would!
And so things proceeded and a couple of weeks later, we booked a flight to Orlando. We're flying on 26/4 and will be flying back on 5/9, so we'll stay for 12 days and 13 nights. One extra night!
And then this other amazing thing happened, just a couple of weeks ago (just before we were going to Bulgaria) Gerbert asked me to marry him! He really wanted to ask me in Orlando, but never found the right moment!
And ofcourse I said yes!
So, our second trip to Orlando will be a honeymoon! We are getting married on 4/22!
And with this, my tripreport is coming to an end. I had fun writing it, although I'm not sure I'll do it again next year!
