Where you see an "easy-breezy" personality, many of us see some sort of mental illness.

Then the mother of the Osmonds has a mental illness and tons of other families who have over 10 kids. My grandmother had 10. Give me a break.

With all the silly talk of Michelle's uterus being a clown car, she and JB are producing beautiful, healthy children. Combined with her easy-breezy personality, it makes you wonder if this is what she was meant to do in life. Not all women are built like this.

My great grandma had 20...but she was schizophrenic. She loved her babies, and was a good mom to them, in spite of her disease.

*So they say. At the end of her life she was diagnosed with diabetes. That may have been the issue.

The only way I will judge the Duggars is if/when one of those kids writes a tell-all book to tell us their side of the story. As far as I am concerned those kids are sheltered, fed, clothed, educated and enriched. All kids should be so lucky.

Nope, sorry, I don't need a tell-all book...
There is plenty of information publicly out there now for me to make my judgement. When I say that these parents DISGUST me, it is truly my opinion of them, and them alone, based on their actions. Based on what they have willingly portrayed to the public.

NOTE: I am making no judgements about large families, conservative christian families, etc..

I am a conservative christian, I am from a very large family...

I make no general negative judgement calls based on those general factors.

I would much rather have twenty of her children out in our society than twenty Paris Hiltons, Kim Kardashians, Britneys, Lindsays, or half the idiots on those reality shows...atleast these people have a sense of responsibility and hard work ethic, they don't go blowing 2k on a pair of shoes or handbag...they're involved in service projects and have a moral compass...why are you not picking apart the good they do and trying to add a bit more of that into your own lives than trying to find every minute detail that allows you to put your choices on a higher playing field than theirs? I just don't get it.

Instead of addressing the situation of the children in this family..
This poster is pulling irrelevant things out of thin air and issuing her own judgement calls... She is the one using small examples to give her own viewpoint/choices the higher moral ground.

Sorry, but you are correct when you say that maybe you just don't get it....

Not to mention these children are not "out in our society" they are cloistured on a compound where they will breed more of their kind. They may do some charity projects here and there (mainly for the publicity I'm sure) but all they are about is taking care of their own. So, while they may not be taking from society, they are not contributing anything to society either.

About the breastfeeding, when the last baby Jennifer was born, they had a crib in an alcove in the master bedroom, set up like a mini nursery, very cute. Now in a recent photo, that alcove has a sofa in it, and no crib. The baby is 9 months old. I'm assuming the baby has been moved into the girls room, so maybe Michelle had stopped breastfeeding.

Also, I also know a few families with 9 and 10 kids, but that doesn't compare with having 18, 19, and 20. Didn't Michelle say she hopes to remain fertile until she can have 24? What if she were physically able to have 30? Or more? When does it become NOT a wise decision to keep having children? She wants to accept all the children that God gives her, but if God blesses me with an abundant potato crop, does that mean I have to eat all the potatoes year after year? Where does common sense come in?

Ten children is a large family, but 19???? That's more than just a large family; that's selfishness. When there's a chart for the kids to pencil in 20 minute "mom time" with Michelle, well, that's sad. It's a group mentality, the great ONE, the DUGGAR FAMILY, not Jackson Duggar, Johanna Duggar, Josiah Duggar, Jedidiah Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar Joy Anna Duggar, etc.

The kids are clean, well fed, have a beautiful home, have discipline, take vacations, are being educated, but ALL TOGETHER ALL THE TIME. There has to be a psychological consequence down the road. Jim Bob and Michelle are creating a UNIT, not a real family.

And for Jim Bob to say it's up to Michelle when to stop, I thought they're not allowed to stop, because even even becoming celibate to prevent children is BIRTH CONTROL. I truly think Michelle is obsessive-compulsive, just like hoarders.

Isn't a family a UNIT??? If the Duggars are psycho then what does that make the Bristish Royal family? Where they inter-breed and the kids & parents have to fly in separate planes in case somebody dies? Where they send the kids away to boarding school while the parents fly across the world for a charity function? What kind of family is that and where is the outrage??
