The dreaded leg in the Pirates of the Caribbean!

Ugh- so gross! I always try not to look at it but I can't help it! So hairy! :faint:  :duck:

My kids think that the pirate foot is the best part of the ride!!! We have to take a picture on every trip!!! By the way we were also told it was human hair!

This is such a funny thread, because I've always been a little grossed out by the dangling foot! For some reason, I just get paranoid that the mud is going to drip on me...and now I have to worry about the leg falling on me too, and me having to feel real human hair! :scared:

besides the "we want the redhead" line (as I am one), that dirty hairy leg is my favorite part of POTC....

....now if they added My. Hottie Depp.....I just might have to chaneg my position on that one.

Is the dreaded leg still there after the refurb? I'm not looking forward to seeing it again! :rotfl2: That new waterfall effect looks incredible!!! What's it like actually going through it?! :wizard:

Yes, the leg is still there, and still filthy. The "waterfall" is not water, exactly, it's fog, and it has a bit of an acrid odor (not strong, though.)

not so big of a fan of the dirty foot either...it's hard to look away when you are going under the bridge... but somehow a dirty foot covered in human hair dangling precariously over my head just doesn't scream "good clean fun" to me!!!;)

as for Captain Jack Sparrow...he looks VERY realistic and I got quite a thrill seeing him pop up throughout POTC..."drink up me hardies yo ho..."pirate:

I'm LOL because my DS3 talks about the "muddy feet" pirate whenever he talks about that ride! I always try to look up the pant leg to see if I can see the machinery - nope - only hair!

This is so funny. My boys were 2 and 3 the first time they rode it and they still talk about the pirate that almost got mud on their head.

The waterfall is really cool! My DD3 was really freaked out, thinking she was going to get soaked. We cracked up at her as we went under! :lmao:
