The dreaded leg in the Pirates of the Caribbean!

Ahh yes, the dangling leg....I am totally grossed out by it, and yet, I have to stare at it everytime we pass under.

LOL........... me too, even though it freaks me out!!!! I hate the "mud" on the foot too......... ewwww!!!!!

I've actually noticed that a LOT of the pirates look like Sid Caesar!!! Thats funny to know why now!!! There is another guy, in a group singing, right as you pass under the leg...... to the left, in a red shirt I think.............. I swear he always follows me.............. CREEPY!!!! NOW, that guy, they could take out!!! LOL

Okay, I know the tours are supposed to be informative but I could've done without that info! There is such a thing a blissful ignorance. :goodvibes

LOL! I'm sorry I told everyone! :rotfl: I always try and lean away from it each time.

Whether the hair on it is human or not, it's just YUCKY!!! I always get a little chill--I guess I should after looking at a pirate's hairy leg!! pirate:

Unless that pirate is Captain Jack Sparrow pirate: !!!! I would get chills, but they'd be the good kind :teeth: .

My 2.5yo kept pointing out the hair on that leg! And the mud on his foot. She was also captivated by the little girl in the barrel with the drunken pirate sitting nearby. She kept saying "she's hiding in there because he is BAAAD!" :rotfl2: Under normal circumstances, I would never expose a toddler to drunken pirates--fake or otherwise. Why is it that I find it acceptable at WDW?

You mean this hairy leg???????

Coolest souvenier indeed....imagine the pains you would go thru to smuggle it out.....

No pains required, they'd probably let me keep it in lieu of a huge settlement payment for it dropping on my head!

the last time i went to DL and rode pirates. that guy wasn't there. I never really think anything of that pirate. It was just last week. I guess they're taking out some of the old pirates to replace them with the new ones. So, sorry for all u leg-lovers.

What a funny post...my boys always say "there's the pirate with the hairy leg" every time we go under it, each trip without fail.

Oh, I was talking about the WDW one!

i always get freaked by the hairy leg!POTC is one of mums fave rides. She always squeels when she sees the pigs, shouts "we wants the red head" and sngs "yo ho" for about an hour after we have got off the ride :rotfl:

I'm LOL because my DS3 talks about the "muddy feet" pirate whenever he talks about that ride! I always try to look up the pant leg to see if I can see the machinery - nope - only hair!

In some cultures, hairy legs are considered quiet attractive:scared1:

We always say that to my DD,the redhead

I don't know why, but the leg creeps me out, too. I'm a grown woman and like to think I am reasonably well adjusted. I don't think the leg will fall on me..... it just CREEPS me out! I have never figured out why. LOL

The hairy leg is a classic Pirates feature. I've never seen it look as if it's going to fall but for some reason we always find it hilarious and laugh like it's the first time we've seen it.
