We went on the POTC a bunch of times at New Year's (there were no lines in the evenings!) and I cringed every time we went under the man with the hanging leg in the burning town. You can see that it's not fully attached and I felt like it was going to fall on us! That would be so funny if you had to give back the leg at the end of the ride! :rotfl2: Has anybody else kept an eye on this dubious dangling limb as they sail through?

I remember the first time I saw it, I must've been like 9 or 10........ It freaked me out!!!! It kind of still does........... it looks so real to me............ I really don't like that leg........ LOL!!!!

I don't remember it almost falling off, but DD loved that part cuz we said it was the 'stinky feet' guy.

I now have something new to look for.

Though we're a bit timid about it, we always yell out "George, George, George!" in the fire scene...

It's not exactly falling off but you can see where it's not connected. Still, watch out!

I always look at it as we go under it. It doesn't creep me out or anything, it just makes me wonder...."will it ever fall off?"

The famed Hairy Leg? If it did fall on me, I'd have the coolest souvenier ever!

My daughter hates the leg too!! She hated from the first time she went on that ride when she was three and still says it every time we go under.

I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this. My ds (7) is also freaked out by the stinky foot guy. I couldn't imagine how freaked out he would be if it fell on him. :earseek:

Coolest souvenier indeed....imagine the pains you would go thru to smuggle it out.....

I went on the Keys of the Kingdom tour, and the guide told us to watch out for the leg, because that is actual human hair on it! :scared1: And no I'm not kidding!

thats nasty. i went on that tour and i didn't get told that. interesting but still nasty

My daughter thinks it is nasty. When we watch the planning video and they refer to the "hairy leg", she always says, they mean the "dirty foot."

My sister and I have noticed that leg since we were little girls! It's always funny when we see it for some reason. It's known in my family as "the hairy leg" on POTC!

Whether the hair on it is human or not, it's just YUCKY!!! I always get a little chill--I guess I should after looking at a pirate's hairy leg!! pirate:

I read that one of the pirates up on that bridge (might be the hairy dangling leg guy, but I can't quite remember) has a face that looks just like the comedian Sid Caesar, because Walt liked him. :)

Ahh yes, the dangling leg....I am totally grossed out by it, and yet, I have to stare at it everytime we pass under.

And I'm thinking lifetime passes as well. You know, for all the trauma it caused you. ;)

Okay, I know the tours are supposed to be informative but I could've done without that info! There is such a thing a blissful ignorance. :goodvibes
