The Do-Over Report.**Updated 7/28 ** Day 1 MK!!!! w/oPICS!!!!

Well, after going back to read your "I need a do over" TR, I fully understand WHY you needed & deserved a "do over"!! :lmao: What a saga...notice I did not use the word "vacation". I guess you could look at your free upgrade as your reward for your last trip.:rotfl: Good for you! :yay:

Thanks for joining us! I appreciate the support, but as you will see, our luck will change later in the trip.

Glad to hear the free food and beverages in the lounge weren't wasted. If the ZZUBs can't get upgraded to the concierge level, I'm glad the CrazyKangas can take advantage for us.

If you can't win four new cars, at least an upgrade to concierge level is something.

No movie reference is too vague for me.

As for the circuitous route you took to the Polynesisan, it was your first day at Disney, you HAD to use Disney transportation, whether your were imbibing or not. On the first day, you're glad to ride a boat, a bus, a monorail. By day 3 you're all about getting there quickly.

But eating uncrustables, that's just wrong.

:moped:

It was worth the 45 minutes to get front seats on the monorail :goodvibes

Riding the front of the monorail is awesome. We did it back in 2003 and I wish I took more pictures. Rob has it on videotape tho. I'm still waiting for the highlight of your trip when you get to meet ME glorious ME...la la la LA! :lmao:

We're still on day 1. I didn't meet DM until day 5. So hang in there DM, it'll be a while at the rate I'm goin'!

kanga, love the tr so far. A quick question -- the headboards on the beds were they leather or craved wood? And the WL looks so much like the AKL layout.

I'm really not sure what the headboards are made of. And, yes, the lodge does have a very similar feel to the AKL, but is much smaller in actual number of rooms I believe. But I really love the architecture of both!

Yeah, Chris was In Redneck Heaven eating free Uncrustables and drinkin' free beer:drinking1 at the Wilderness Lodge! YeeHa!

I forgot to post this one earlier of us hovering around cokes and goldfish like they were some kind of jackpot, while waiting for our room to become available

Yay, Kathy is here. Glad I can be of service to you. Make sure and show the pics to Billy so he can get acclimated.

Loving the trip report. I have read both of them tonight:rotfl:. Maybe the headboards were made of " high grade vinyl"? :lmao:
