Oh Yensid, I am here. I have the candles lit and the music going. I am ready now. I have a lot of tension built up in my lower head/upper neck area. Could you please concentrate on that spot please.

Oh Jeannie, You can keep trying to explain why you capitalized OLD but you will just get yourself into more trouble. Actually, I didn't even realize that it was capitalized until you mentioned it. But now that you have brought attention to it I must sit you in the time out chair, unless you can cater another feast for us like you did last night.

Hey, all! I am here. I swear I will never ever mention he who shall not be named again. He did pm me back, and wasn't really negative at all. Said he respects the police, does feel that sometimes they mess up, blah, blah, blah. I pm'd him back saying that is certainly respectable, but not to go into bashing the police on a thread that was supposed to help rather than hurt. Haven't heard back on that one. I don't know how to "read" people sometimes, I thought that was what she was saying, but I wasn't sure.

Sherry, were the heck have you been? Has RL intruded? You missed it, Jennifer said we could talk about survivor! I don't recall her saying anything about AMC though. Are ya'll in trouble? LOL

Jay, are you ok? Do you need some cookies and milk? Here....I know someone has volunteered a massage, is there anything else we can do? Jay, I agree! I am going to nominate you if the others haven't.

Jennifer, so there is a lot of paperwork involved in girls scouts? I am thinking about starting a troop next year (too late this year). Would it be too much work?

Jeannie, thanks for the WONDERFUL 2000th post party. Burrpp! Ah yummy, please excuse me!:)

Um, hello....just want to let you know that the little ya ya is feeling better because now I have it! Started this afternoon, with a sore throat, etc...

Well, off for now!

Sorry about that.... Got tied up a bit.
yensid massages Betty's neck. There you go... time to work out that tension. How's that feel? Better, I hope. :)

Michele, milk & cookies sound wonderful. :) And another massage would be nice. This weather has my back really tight. I guess I should look at that other thread pretty soon. Be sure to bump it up for me. :teeth:

Good afternoon everybody! :) Another short school day due to conferences, so we're home a little early...yeah!!

How was school today Betty? Was it a science class today??

Karen, Batman and goggles!! :teeth: I think that sounds like definite cute guy thread material. ;)

Jodie, If I were there with you, you'd be getting a huge hug, big smiles and I'd be dancing right alongside you!! :bounce:

Elaine, Mmmm hmmmmm.... Yeah, from his Dad, right? ;) Oh, so how did the training go?

Hey, thanks for the SMOOSHIE credits Jeannie! :p Hear that Betty, SMOOSHIE was MINE. Competitive? Who? Where? Am not!

Jay should most definitely be nominated on the cute guy thread!! BENEATH HIM!?! Hey!! Two of my guys are already over there...now you be nice Miss lilboo! :p I'm thinking all the Ya Ya ladies should go over there once Jay is nominated and 2nd, 3rd. 4th, etc....the nomination. What'cha think Ya Yas? ;)

Afternoon gang!
Thought I'd better pop in now...won't have time later. I am driving cotillion car pool tonight...won't be home until 11ish. The Harvest party went well today. Most of the kids had fun but there were those..... The kids ate their snack outside and some threw their trash on the ground. OK...they're kids. When I asked them to clean up before going back inside, most of them did it with a smile. This one kid looked me in the eye aand said, "Ha...I'm not cleaning it up...that's YOUR job!!!" OMG!!! Steam does not come out of my ears often but when it does it is impressive even to little jerkoids like that one!!! My cub scouts cowered in the corner shaking!!! I gave him the best stink eye you have ever seen and hissed, "Bend...pick up...throw away!" Guess what? He picked up his trash...imagine that! Sheesh!

Jeannie...I keep forgetting to thank you for the lovely 2000 post snacks!!! They were delicious! I cannot believe how fast we got to 2ooo!!!

Sherry!!! Where ya been? We've missed you!!!

Michele, was it you who asked where Beetlejuice came from? I can't claim it! A few nights ago we were all talking and I think it was Bonnie who brought up saying his name 3 times to see if he would appear on the thread...like Beetlejuice!! BWAHAHAHA!! I thought that was soooo appropriate it will be my name for him forever more. I do very much like "he who's name will not be spoken" though!!!:p

Jennifer! 3 hours??? BWAHAHAHA!!! Man I am always doing that! You should see my marathon paperwork session at the end of the year when I have to back into my troop budget to give to council!! Ugh...it's ugly!!! Numbers are not my best friend...esp when I have not written any of them down for a year!!!

Michele...there is a fair amount of paperwork in Girl Scouting but, like everything else, it is more manageable if you keep up with it. I am such a procrastinator that the paper monster sometimes gets pretty bad! Doing scouting can take as little or as much time as you want to put into it. It is a committment and before you know it it begins to take over your life...in a good way. Being a scout leader is definately one of the best things I have ever done...I love it! If you do decide to start a troop, you have Jennifer and me as great rresource people!

Coffee just beeped...get it while it's fresh!!;)

Oops...our posts crossed in cyberspace Kim. I haven't read the thread but will go right over...after my coffee. I will second Jay's nomination!!!

Hi Kim!!!

Hello all. This will probably be my only chance for a nice long post before late tonight. After this I get to pack up rain and winter gear, camera, camcorder and collect dd #1 from a birthday party to take her to cheer in the freezing cold rain. FUN FUN!!!

Jodie, I'm still holding my hair brush microphone ready to sing a few more "life doesn't get any better than this" tunes!!!

How did the day go? As if I didn't know :p

Elaine, how was training?

My soap girlfriends....you may speak AMC on this thread :p I use to be an advid watcher myself of AMC and GH back in college. MAy moons ago of course by I still have a soft spot for the show!

Michele, there is a bit of paper work involved at the start of the school year with GS. What I was doing today was labling all my books (which are mine and which are troop) and filing all the great stuff I got at my leader weekend. Plus my troop choose 5 council sponsered activities we want to do during the winter so I was getting the forms together for them. Then of couse I decided to rearrange my binder....into an all new and improved form!!

Stop laughing at me Betty ;)

How was school today? Those 7th graders give you any trouble?

Hi Kim

Karen...too cute your little batman!! Did you take him to school in the batmobile? I'm glad he's doing better.

Seems like there was something I wanted to mention from last night, but can't remember right now.

Well the afternoon pot of coffe is ready so I'm going to get a cup and dig out our gear!!! I'll leave the pot by the screen if anyone wants some.

Hi Jodie!! We crossed cyber paths too! Sure is a lot of coffee here in the yaya cafe. yum.....who's got the scones to go with it?

(I make THE BEST chocolate chip cherry scones!!!!)

Ummm........croak....my throat really hurts.... no coffee for me. How about some tea? Jennifer, waiting for the scones to go with my tea...are they ready yet?

Well, I am off to make dinner. Talk to you all soon!

hold everything!!!!
Everyone look down and notice I have.......Less than 100 days to WDW!!! WOOOHOOO for double digits!!!!!

yeah, I know some of you are going sooner but....well....I'm excited!!

Jennifer, WOOHOO!! Yeah for double digits! I do feel as though I am missing something though, what is the other countdown for? and are you sad about it?

Oh, and that thing you were probably forgetting, was that you meant to pm me back last night!;)

...looks like nativetxn beat all y'all at wishing Dream a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Running around franticly...dh can't get home so now I have to equip #2 dd for the weather to go with us!!! Did I say FUN FUN FUN

The other countdown is ...days until I get my own notebook computer back and I don't have to use the sticky keyboard anymore!!!!

Play nice!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Now I understand!! Must go quickly!! Need an unsticky keyboard!

Hey Jay, did you check out the cute guy thread yet? You have lots of DIS friends.

OOoooh coffee! Now I have to go make some too. That sounds purrrrrfect for this afternoon! :p I wish I had some extra special yummy type flavored coffees, but alas, only the regular stuff. Soooo... all YA YA coffee drinkers out there.... what type of coffees do you like? Are you your basic straight up java guzzler, or do you go for the fancy shmancy stuff? I already know that my dear Padawan isn't a coffee drinker, and maybe Michele isn't either, (or is it just the sore throat Michele? :( ) so you're both excused from this particular poll. I know that Jodie and Jennifer are, so I especially want to hear from them. ;) How about you Betty, Bonnie, Jeannie, Elaine, Sherry, Beth....? ;) Those scones sound heavenly!! I like a little Biscotti with my coffee every once in awhile. :p

Oh shoot!!! I remembered Jodie's b-day today and intended to come home and post it over there, then spaced it when I got home! Darn it!! :bounce: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU JODIE!!!

Jennifer, Cheering in the freezing rain doesn't sound like much fun at all. :( Better grab a thermos of hot cocoa to take with you. ;)

I'm about to tear into a major cleaning job. My bedroom. I've got scrapbooking stuff everywhere. Ugh...I've got to get it straightened up...it's awful.

99 days until the Contemporary for Jennifer!!! Yahoo!!!
party.gif

oh man....so sorry Jodie....I was all ready to be the first to wish you happy birthday!!! I had it on my calendar and everything. (Of course that doesn't help if you don't LOOK at your calendar  )

Of course I sort of DID wish her HB first...there was a B-day card in the box ;)

No need to ask what the best gift you got!!!!! Doesn't get any better than saftey in your own backyard!!!!!

Now I REALLY have to go!!!!

I'll correct all typos when I get back...unless someone wants to do it for me ;)

ahhhhaaa--- Kim took a quick look at your post on my way out and thought it said "Cheering FOR the freezing rain...":p

Kim, I drink coffee. Just with my sore throat today, I think tea would be better. Now as far as my favorite creamer, I prefer the coffeemate creamers to any other brand. Fancy schmancy, Starbucks carmel machiato or white chocolate mocha. Yes, I knew I was in bad shape when I walked up and they had it ready for me (We had a starbucks in the Marriott).

Jennifer, you are too funny. It is like holding a mirror to my face. I am an organizer. In fact I have the last two WDW trips organized in three ring binders. Plus I have a Gatlinburg and Hocking Hills binder. I too was a brownie leader back in the old days. You should have seen my communication system. We met at our house. On my front porch I had a table with one of those portable file boxes. The box had a file folder for every girl plus myself. If any communication was going home that night (either by myself, my assistant, or other girls) it was put in each girls manilla folder. Also the girls were responsible for reporting all progress on badges to me via the file system. The parents loved it. They could come up and get any information that was current or old(if their child had missed a meeting) and then talk to other parents (about me of course) while waiting for their little brownie. The parents were not suppose to ring the door bell. There were to wait outside until the front door opened. I AM A CONTROL FREAK. Wait make that an ORGANIZED CONTROL FREAK!!! DH loved it so much he used it for the cub scouts. We were the most organized scout leaders on the block. Did I mention that I was a 4H leader BC(before children) Oh yes, Bonnie my club went to the Seneca County Fair in Tiffin. You know where that big city is. I also had several go to the Ohio State Fair. What can I say their leader was wonderful. cough cough

Michele, I think that you would be a great GS leader. Go for it. It is a great experience.

Jay the massage was wonderful. Sorry I fell asleep right in the middle of your singing. Your version of Copa Cabanna is very interesting. Now, I am so ready for DH to come home tonight. I too may not be on much tonight. I pick up DH at airport around 8 and then we need to catch up with our lives.

Jodie, are you sure you aren't a substitute teacher? I see many good qualities in you.
quote: Bend.....Pick up.......Throw away end quote (don't know how to do those yet)
You would be a great STIT (substitue teacher in training)

Subbing today was a piece of cake. The kids are working on presentations and they spent the whole time working on their skits and their display boards. I just walked around and they demonstrated/practiced/entertained me. What a life and they pay me for this. Ha! Ha! These are the good days.

QUESTION: Who on this thread drinks coffee and who drinks tea?

ANSWER: I love the smell of coffee but can't stand the taste. I drink Constant Comment Tea by Bigelow. I am hooked.

Thanks for the birthday wishes ya'll!!!! Strange...45 doesn't feel much different from 44!:p Thank you for the cake and candles!!! I miss that most of all with my Mom being gone. Dh is a bit of an absentminded professor type as well as not at all sentimental about "special days" so usually the cake gets forgotten. Oh well!! I have cupcake frosting on my blue jeans from ds's harvest party...good enough!!!:p

Coffee? Good old Folger's is my cup of choice. Starbucks is strong enough to grow hair on your chest...ewww...but I do enjoy a mocha latte from time to time. I enjoy flavored creamers but only in the afternoon. In the morning it's plain coffee only with just a little milk.

Sorry about your sore throat Michele! Lemon lift tea is my fave when the throat is nasty! I HATE sore throats.

Jennifer!!! Doing the double digit boogie with you!!! WOOOHOOO!!! I am at 60 days today!!! Time to make those priority seating arrangements and Fantasmic dinner package!!! NOW is when I really start to get excited!!!:bounce:

Gotta run! I will check in when I get home from being chauffer!!!
