I'm here to play!!

Just got off the phone with my GS holiday bazaar coordinator. Guess who's spending more time on coordinating

If I hear...."well that's easy enough for you to do on YOUR computer" one more time

Sheesh!!!!!! Ok, I'm better now.

Can't wait to get that pm Kim!!!

Hey Betty, I'm sending some NASA stuff to Jodie...what do you think I should include in the package?

Oh good, someone to play with. I was about to pick up my toys and go back to bed. Since you are going to be away for a bit maybe I will run and do some errands (bank, post office, etc... you know the drill) I will check in a little later.

Hey I now see some others are here to play but I really need to get my errands done. While I am cruising up and down I will have to think of something for that package. LIME GREEN HAIR DYE!!! No, maybe just lime green markers. Duct tape. Oh my mind is rolling.

Will run my errands and get back with you all.

Have fun with errands betty...

SHERRY-you saved me $1.50 for my morning coffee...what an eye-opener!...I've gotta go & bookmark that page..mmmhhmm...

Hey Jen, I caught a bit of that Regis morning show at the gym-Reg was there with his red-headed wife...I could've sworn they were discussing how red-heads need 20% more anesthesia than other folks to knock 'em out ...:earseek: :D I think I'm going to go DELETE my Survivor posts...heheh :o

:D :D :D

Glad I could save you $1.50! :teeth:
Isn't he gorgeous? I miss him on AMC. :( :( :(

Have fun running errands, Betty! :)

I am back. It is getting a little cooler here the past few days. How has the weather been holding out for the rest of you.

So do I understand this correctly, it takes more to knock out a red head? Boy you red heads are a tough bunch of women.

Oh Jeannie, you don't have to delete you Survivor posts, all those fuddy duddy non survivors can survive the posts. Afterall, we all have to suffer through Apolo pictures (just couldn't resist)

Harrison Ford. Patrick Swaze, Robert Redford, Mikhail are all very nice looking men. I just love all these pictures. Variety of eye candy is very healthy.

Jay must be pouting in the corner somewhere because there is a little competition on the thread. I guess we can let him have that one picture of Natalie Portman.

Hey, who said that they were coming down with cold symptoms? Someone must have sneezed into the screen and spread their germs. I have had the chills, nose is beginning to run, and I feel like going back to bed. bfeller is spraying lysol all over the screen I need to stay healthy to attend Allison's chorus concert tonight. Her first high school concert. Oh the milestones we have reached. sniff, sniff Don't know if it is mommy emotions or me trying to catch a cold.
The seniors in the mixed chorus are each taking out a group of freshman to dinner (some are going to restaurants, some a picnic at park, and some are having them back to their homes) before the concert tonight. Allison is in a group that is led by Christopher's homecoming date his freshman year. Should be interesting.

Got to get that load of laundry in the dryer now. Will check in later.

It is cold here, Betty. I haven't turned the heat on yet....trying to hold out as long as I can, but, brrrrrrrr!!

ARGH!!!!!!!! Please tell me I am not alone. TEENAGERS!!!! TEENAGE GIRLS!!!!!! Has anyone else had the lovely experience of going through dirty clothes hamper to only find clean clothes that are still folded?? It infuriates me. One time, during the summer I found a tshirt of hers still on the hangar in the dirty clothes. bfeller is now taking deep cleansing breaths and is starting to chant Oh that feels so much better to vent just a little.

So the question of the day is:

What infuriates you about laundry that involves your child? Did I mention DS putting his damp sweaty athletic shorts with underwear still tucked in them in the laudry basket.

What's the matter with kids today? Hey that is the title of a song!!!! bfeller is very clever and since no one is around to pat her on the back she does it herself

**Sherry pats Betty on the back for being so clever** ;) :teeth:

My boys put still folded clothes in the hamper all the time. It drives me insane!!

I appreciate the pat on the back and I am happy that other moms are experiencing the same thing.

sniff, sniff, Now I am getting a scratchy throat. OK, who is trying to get me sick? I just feel like laying down and since there is a load in the dryer and one in the washer and I can't do anything when they are running, then I will just lay down and take a rest. No one is home, so who is going to tell on me.

I hope you aren't getting sick, Betty! Sending germsstayawayfrombetty PD your way!! :)

Go ahead and take that nap. We won't tell anyone! :teeth:

Time to go watch my soap! :)

I will probably be on some this evening, since DH has practice tonight! :teeth:

Nope. Not pouting in a corner. If I pout, I do it in the middle of the thread, not the corner. :teeth: Competition? Um... a bunch of ladies drooling over multiple pics of men & one pic of Natalie. That's not much competition if you ask me. That's the equivalent of a blowout.

I've been working a weird schedule for a while now.... Late nights, early mornings & sleeping in between. Remember that software issue I had last week? I called in our helpdesk & put in a request for the fix. Turns out someone closed out the ticket and never called to tell me. I was not happy to find that out. Now I'll see if they actually call me in the next day or so.....

I'll be over here just waiting for more pics of Natalie. Feel free to post them or I may pout a bit louder later. ;)

YUP, It's hard to get us red heads to stop squirrming ;)

Ok, here's another one to keep Jay smiling. ;) I mean, he is having work trouble and all... poor guy.

<img src=http://worldzone.net/family/kama89//french_box-natalie_portman08.jpg width=400>

Oooh and what's this!?! Remember this little gem Jay?

ohno431.jpg

Hmmm... someone should've told Amazon woman to take the heels off. :p Awww..... he's just so cuuuuuute!! I just wanna hug him and squeeze him and.... never mind.

Afterall, we all have to suffer through Apolo pictures (just couldn't resist)
Ack! Betty's not being nice. :p I'm a warped woman... I can't help it. We must always be kind to the sick among us. Just do what Jodie does with the Survivor folks.... nod & smile. ;)

Ahhh... yes. I remember that picture of Cameron M. I can't drool over him... I dunno, there's just something weird about drooling over someone with the same name as your son. :o However, I have saved the pic. for future signature use. ;)

Redheads are harder to knock out?! Wow! It takes an army of drugs to get me to go down now and I'm not even a redhead... yet. :)

My laundry pet peeve? I have several actually, but my biggest one these days is the fact that even though I tell Cameron over and over and OVER and OVER not to throw dirty clothes on his bedroom floor, he still does it, AND has now started doing the same thing with the clean clothes that I neatly fold and put on his bed for him to put away. Up until a few months ago, I would always put all of his things away for him, but decided that the putting away part was something he could start doing. I fold everything and take it to his room. He, in turn is supposed to spot said folded clothes and put them IN THE DRAWER. Apparantly this is too great a task, because most days I find them wadded up in a pile on the floor. My other pet peeve is ANYONE doing the laundry, period! I was fine with it until one day Tom decided putting bleach in a colored load of laundry was a good thing. To this day, I haven't figured out where his head was. When I asked him... (WHY????) his only response was: "I thought it would be okay". UMMM...and you thought this becauuuuuuuse?????

Hey, Elaine! Great pictures!! I hope that we will be able to meet when you are here in December. You, Kim and who else? can buy me a birthday dinner. Kim great time to make good on the creamer!;)

Jennifer, I am pm'ing you in a minute.

Great looking thread (don't want to offend Jay by saying eye candy again).

Kim, I see boo-boo is gracing your siggie. When you run through the rest of the requests, I have a new one. The dark haired guy from CSI. He's a cutie. Don't know his name though.

Betty, hope you aren't getting sick. Healing pixie dust for you!!

Well, dh is cooking dinner got to run....

Well, I am still hanging around. The throat is feeling scratchy and the nose is started to run but hopefully, if I get a good nights rest and some OJ then I can fight this thing. Wish I was a red head because it takes more to knock them out.

OK, I asked this question on the CB, so now I need to know your opinons.

Topic: Rocky Horror Picture Show Thread
Everyone on the original thread is ranting and raving about how great an experience (don't know if great is the best adjective) it was to see it in the theatre.

We got the vides around 3 years ago to see what all the fuss was about. The first time we watched it we thought it was dumb. (We let Chris watch it at 14) Then we knew we must have missed something and watched it again. Well, what can I say it grew on us. I really appreciate Tim Curry being able to strut his stuff in platforms. (yes, there is a slight kinky side of bfeller or she is easily entertained) We let Allison watch it last year. Afterall, they have studied all this transvestite/homosexual/heterosexual thing in health. She absolutely loved it. Anything outrageous impresses her. We watched as a family a documentary last year on VH-1 about the movie and all the antics that happen when at the theatre.

My Dilemma:

I asked on thread, should we take our teens to see a midnight showing. They are showing it here during October.
I am getting the OH no, don't take your kids.
The crowd is usually teens/early 20's/ or maybe 30.
It would be embarrasing. I am confused.

Now I am the type of mother that if my child who is under 17 really wanted to go see an R movie, then I went with them. (I have seen American Pie 1 and 2, Scary Movie etc........) I don't want them sneaking into a movie. So, I agree if Chris, age 17, will be 18 in December, want to go with friends. No problem.

But what do I do with Allison.

Question:

What are your suggestions? Surely some of you younger ones have seen it (maybe even the kinky ones). I mentioned in my question that we are in our 40's, does that make a difference?

Running to drop Allison off and then taking DS to dinner. Concert after that. I expect some good advice about Rocky Horror when I get back on tonight.

I know that you all will not let me down.

Hi Betty,

I don't like to give advice in case I come across too preachy-no one knows your family or situation better than you...I have some questions, though...

If you oppose your youngest going at all-with or without you-would she resent not being able to go? (not that that matters-I mean, you're the parent-what you say should fly)

If you don't mind her going, could you coerce (bribe) your eldest to let her tag along? (don't know if that'll fly with either of them.) Would that arrangement be ok with you?

Having said all that-if you've seen American Pie 1 and 2 with them-WOW, WHAT A MOM!-I think you and your kids aren't easily fazed by the risque.

Good luck with the decision.

Betty, I wish I could offer advice, but four things prevent me from doing so:
1) I don't have kids,
2) I've never seen the movie (hard to believe, no?),
3) The Natalie pic Kim posted, and
4) The Christie pic Kim posted

Those last two seem to have diverted my attention considerably. Can't concentrate on work.... Must .... look ..... at .... pics ..... again..... :earseek: :smooth: I mean, just look at that Natalie pic... those eyes... that... *look*... :) And Christie with that skating guy, whatzhizname (sorry, I'm too busy looking at the attractive ladies). Ah... just look at how she smiles. Although, do you think she could have found a dress that was just a *LITTLE* lower cut? :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Thanks Kim!!! You've convinced me to hang around for a while longer. :teeth:
