Oh yeah, I forgot to tell y'all. At a birthday party on Saturday, DH moved his chair over to make room for the cake, and my finger got smashed between the chairs. Well, my finger started swelling up and turning reddish purple and I couldn't get my wedding rings off. I tried wrapping my finger in ice, running warm water over my finger, then cold water, lots of soap, NOTHING would work. So, DH took me to FIL's house and got wire cutters, and 10 minutes later they cut & pried the rings off. My finger is all red and I have a few tiny scratches on it. I feel soooo bad about my rings, though.
I told him we were gonna get new ones in 3 years anyway, but he didn't find that amusing!

Good morning all. My little munchkin slept through the night (I woke her up a couple time to make sure she was ok....such a mom) Her temp is around 100 and she is Soooooooo grouchy!!! I'm so happy I'll take grouchy over hopital anyday!!!! New symptom....gunky nose It's like a fauset, yuck!!!!

Jodie, I love Zurg's kids!!! too funny!!!

Jennifer, keep that child well hydrated. A sponge bath might not hurt either, though I have a feeling she won't appreciate it.

LOL Bonnie....I put her in the tub (with "No washing") usually her favorite thing to do.....last night she was there long enough for me to grab jammies and the screamed to get out. She did NOT appreciate it!

Oooo Bonnie, are you dh and ds for rent??? I have a little work for them over here!!

It's a gorgeous Fall day here so I am going to pull out my sweaters and have fun with the kids! This was a great weekend to be a three dayer!! Hope everybody has great days!!!

oooo we're a quite bunch today!!!

Dr. says she only wants to see Emily if this lasts for more than 2 weeks

She'll be seeing me for insanity if it lasts that long!!!!

So, since Jodie is having a relaxing day with the kids (I hope) I'll share my NASA experience.

Not that it was any big deal and you probably had to be there to appreciate it all.....

NASA has set up a program to get more girls inspired and interested in science. They are trying to spread the word that not only astronauts work for NASA. There were 3 women there. One was a Geologist who studies volcanoes and meteors. (I helped her cut out paper rockets at mightnight in our pj's ) (Her husband is in charge of all space debris that comes into NASA. Moon rocks, mars dust, meteors.....) Another woman was a teacher and works on the curriculum for this program. ANd the last works in the jet propullsion (sp?) lab in CA.

We got big bags of informations and posters and lithographs and tons of activities to do with the girls. Including 3 ways to represent the solar system. We went through the steps of observation of a new rock (done with a snickers bar, yum!) and a really good activity, we did where we imitated how the crust of the earth was shaped by meteors hitting it millions of years ago!!!

We also made different space creatures that could live in the enviorments of our various planets, and we did a "rocket" activity.

If anyone is interested in the information sheet with all the url addresses and other information. Let me know, I'll send them to you!! Fantasic stuff to use with ALL kids!!!!

Yes, I am having a great day with the kids! Tonight will start hopping again...dh went to a Cub scout leader meeting last night and said we would help a "leaderless" den of wolves get their Bobcat rank (kind of like an investiture)!! Yikes!!! So at 6pm I willput on my Cub Scout leader uniform and teach a bunch of little guys the promise, law ,motto and handshake and will put those invention bags to good use too. Then at 6:50 will don my Girl Scout leader stuff and head to that leader meeting!! My life is too full to stay down for long!!

TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE DOC WILL SEE HER???? Good grief!! Your doc must be fairly certain it's viral....guess he has seen a million kids with the same thing! Oh I hope it doesn't take that long before Emily starts to feel better!! We wil have to ship you a straight jacket and some rubber wallpaper!!!

Yes, this virus is rampent in our school district. They did the strep culture on her and came back neg. so, unless it turns to and ear infection or something....I get to sit here on the brink of insanity

All of my NASA info is hardcopy Jodie, do you want me to scan the sylybus and email it to you or would you rather wait for me to snail mail you the whole pkt of stuff? OR both? There is a neat mars activity pkt thats 56 pgs long. Don't think I'll try to scan that

Jennifer, the baby I sit for has a viral thing, too. His fever is gone, but wouldn't you know it, while he was here, he PUKED EVERYTHING he ate for breakfast ALL OVER MY SOFA!!
I have sprayed Lysol like crazy but I still smell it. EWWWW!!
