Jay, of course you were exempt from my comment about big babies. You are the "King of Pain". You know you sound as if you had a very good mother and father bringing you up to be quite a independent gentleman. I sure hope my DS will be just as considerate.

I feel that the break down in DH's background is when he is out of town, he is being served by waitresses and at the hotel they make the bed, clean the bathroom, vacuum the rug and yes, they turn the bed down with little chocolates on his pillow. When he gets home he forgets which establishment he is visiting at the moment. A waitress and maid I am not! Of course, I do slip his favorite candy bar on the pillow once in a while just to keep him on his toes. And yes, he shares it with me. What a thoughtful guy!!!! When we moved back to Cincinnati, my DH, just like Bonnie's lived with his mom for about 4 months and of course she spoiled him to death. I was in Pittsburgh with kids trying to sell a house and he was having evening martinis with his mom. Note: my two children knew how to make grandma a martini by the age of 3. She wasn't a lush. She just loved her daily martini.

With all this talk about Beauty and the Beast, I feel that I must watch it this weekend. Didn't it just come out on DVD? Of course we have it on VHS. Speaking of Beauty, did she desert us?

Michele, bfeller's name is Betty. Just in case you can't remember my real name. I am the one that Bonnie likes. Actually, I have met Bonnie, Sherry, and Elaine and they are all very nice women.

I am so glad that there are Survivor fans on the DISerhood. I missed last week's episode and can't wait to catch up this week. Just a side note: I have met Rodger from Survivor II. Anyone here watch ER also?

As for Jennifer's small breakdown PM, I was honored to get a real PM vs a pity PM. Guess I didn't screw her up because she has posted within the last hour or so. Really, she can PM me anytime she wants. So can the rest of you.

Well, got to get a few things done here. I took a few hours off to go to Outback tonight with the kids. Will check back in a little later.

Hey diserhood crazies! Man! have I even posted today? I don't think so and I have no time to scroll back and check! Been a wild one here in "Dream Town"!! I had 2 million errands to run today and almost as many phone calls to make along with a 2:40 conference with ds's teachers....so at 10:15 the phone rings and it's the clinic from dd's school!!! AUGHHHHH....NOT TODAY!!! Poor little thing had been crying with a headache and stomach ache!! Two things...dd NEVER has been to the school nurse in her life (she is in the 6th grade) and she very seldom cries!! Any guesses why I dropped everything and sped to the middle school? I grabbed a bucket on the way out the door (be prepared you know) cause I knew I couldn't bring her straight home. Picked her up then zipped by ds's school and dropped off cookies for the PTA (that's another story!), then zipped by the grocery store for "oh my stomach hurts" stuff, took a quick spin by my assistant leader's house (who earned her keep today!!) to drop off a check that had to be in the ranger's office at the place we are camping by this afternoon and to give her a camp shopping list! Then took my poor little sickie home and tucked her in on the sofa with the Disney channel and some ginger ale. By this time it's 11:15 and I realize I've never had breakfast!!! And it went on fom there..... Left dd at home alone with the next door neightbor listening out for her to get to ds's conference and made it with 5 minutes to spare! I had been standing out in the hall a while waiting for the conference before mine to end when the teacher came out and asked if she could re-schedule our conference...seems the family before me had "issues"! Nooooo problem,,,,,back in the van and made it home in time to pour another ginger ale and packa couple of boxes for camp, then met ds's bus at the corner and brought home ds and my neighbor's twins until their dad could get home from work. My neighbor flew home to Conn. this morning for a funeral. So I tell the boys not to breathe until they get upstairs and give them snacks in front of the Gamecube...they thought they were in heaven!! Boys are sooo easy!! The phone's been ringing off the hook, there are still boxes to pack....and the "energizer bunny " needs recharging!!!

WRRRRRRR...... Dream whips up a HUGE batch of "calgon take me away" smoothies....staggers to the center of the screen under the weight of all of those frosty mugs...and invites everybody to take a minute and put their feet up!! No worries...only pixie dust in these smoothies!!!

Thanks for letting me vent...been one of THOSE days!!

Betty I am sorry, I was kind of teasing there! It really isn't a vacation in any other respect than I am going to be there during DIS Con but just not at DIS Con. My dates were picked with the hope that I could do it but the money just isn't there for that and honestly as sad as it sounds, considering the way I eat and all that, I won't be getting my monies worth. So I will be there by myself hanging with Dan & Kim (yes Kim you ARE going and that's final!!!!!) and a bunch of others and just relaxing. So I'll be a psuedo DIS Coner so to speak

OH...I forgot to tell you about the cookies!! I promised to make 2 dozen cookies for a PTA function, fully intending to buy the suckers and put em on a pretty tray and call em my own...but I forgot to buy them!! So I scrounged around in the pantry and found some brownie mix! Hmmmm....well it makes good brownies, why not good cookies? So I mixed the batter and spooned it onto the cookie sheet and they made the most amazing cookies you have ever tasted!!! DH wanted to see the RECIPE!!! BWAHAHAHA!!! It's nice when things work out isn't it? So tuck that little brownie/cookie secret under your hats diserhood...works like a charm!

Well, I'm probably the lone weirdo here, but I've never seen any of the Survivor shows. I have seen ER, but not in years. To tell you the truth, I'm not really even sure how to turn our tv on. There are four remotes in the house and depending on whether you're watching a DVD through the surround thingybobby, or something on satellite, or something on the VCR or maybe even (gasp) something on local tv... you use a different remote and push a different series of buttons. Sheesh! Forget it! Not worth it. Tom did however manage to get me to sit and watch part of Sword in the Stone with him today. I made it almost 30 minutes!! Wooo hooo!

Jennifer? No breakdowns ya here!? I hope you're doing better now!

Michele, Actually I have my suspicions that the headache is the sinus thing Cam had that's now trying sneaking up on me. Gee thanks Cam!

Elaine, I asked for someone to represent me and Mskanga volunteered. She is my post racing triplet you know, if you remember the big post race that Klombar, Mskanga and I got into about a year ago (and got in trouble for). I thought you were already taken or spoken for.

I would never hurt your feelings on purpose.

If I am ready by 9:30 tomorrow morning, are you gonna call me off sick for the weekend? I don't think my boss would like that.

Darn it, maybe next time. We could rent a mega passenger van and just start picking people up along the way. I'm sure Sherry could come as far as my house and we could get you at the turnpike. Towncrier and Tuffcookie could pick Sherry up on the way across, Marla Helwig could swing by Columbus and get you and our other Columbus DIS'ers, and bfeller could get Shep, Believe, and Catsrule. After that we swing by Toledo and pick up Rockin' Robin and we are on our way. Did I mention that we might need to charter a bus? Did I forget anyone?

How fast could the rest of you get here? I have this all planned out now. Oh wait! With this many of us, maybe the Chicago DIS'ers need to come to Ohio, let them rent the bus and come to us!

Thanks for the medical lesson Bonnie. Has anyone else notice drugs are HIGH on our list of topics I swear most of us are being held together with nyquil, pain killers, excedrin and smoothie glue!

Emily is still really sick. Motrin is really helping but wears off too soon for her to be comfortable all day. Hope she's better in the morning. I REALLY hope Paige doesn't get it. We have a walking GS trip on Saturday she would hate to miss.


Someone tie a rope to Jodie and rein her in!!! Slow down woman!!! How's dd? Will she be able to make the camping trip? I'm glad you're getting some help via the assistant!! Thanks for the brownie tip! I'm going to use that one!!
