You know I was thinking, when do we all want to meet up? I am here the 1st through the 8th. I do have some plans the afternoon fo the 5th & the 6th and Kim leave late aft. of the 7th. So tell me when you all would like to meet up and I'll make sure I drag Dan along so you can meet him Michele

Elaine I am just so tickled that you found someone like that to do your hair. Hair is such a touchy thing and its wonderful when you can just go in and KNOW that it will be done well and the way you will like it. Makes the experience much more relaxing and calming. I love to have my hair done. Its my time away and my time just for me, to take care of me. This is something I definately dont do enough of.

But FYI for you all-I am a lefty(edited to add-am I nuts!? That should read RIGHTY ) and it took me all of .37 seconds to come up with my rather boring username.

Nope wasnt my birthday. Mine was way back in August. I turned the big 40.

Elaine I will be getting there probably around 4:30 or 5:00 on the 6th. We are thinking of doing MVMCP that night but still not sure. I leave on the 8th probably around 2:00 or so. Im open for a meet anytime.

Well on the 6th I will be meeting up with someone at MGM at 3 PM to do a couple of things. Then she and a few others that should be there will head off to do the Illuminations dinner. Are you official Karen? I'm not... we could try to meet up for ToD/Illuminations or you are "official", then we can try for the 7th before Kim leaves (if that's okay with her).

I must say that I am tickled that I found someone so good with my hair too. I usually dread going to get my hair done and I can't believe I found someone so good and so nice. She is someone I would be friends with. We talked and laughed and had a great time. It's almost like we were meant to meet

Jeannie, I am glad that you are feeling better. YOu are right, the CB is very good for picking up your spirits, but do know that if you want to vent, whine or whatever we are here for you too

I feel bad for all you ladies who have lost your parents. My GS leader friend just went to the funeral of her grandmother. THey were very close. She is taking it hard. My mother died last year....but that's not the same....we weren't close....she had problems....THAT story would bring this thread down like you wouldn't believe, so we won't go there just now. But my grandmother who was BETTER than a mother died when I was 7 months pregnant with Emily. That was so very hard. I gave birth a week after I came back from Wisconsin. Emily is named for her.

I'm so envious of you ladies making discon plans. I think I forgot to say what it was I wanted my discon buddies to bring back.....Elaine guest it...MAPS!!! my girls LOVE mapping stuff!! So whatever you think to get would be great !! (In 2 if possible ) I can't wait for Paige to experience WS!! She loves geography!!

Bonnie, I didn't know what to say about your work situation.....I was so frustrated for you reading it.....then it occured to me I should say SOMETHING. So here it is......your boss sucks!

Oh and did you see me waving on the side of US-23 as you went by today? I was the one jumping up and down waving a lime green flag How was Frankenmuth? We've been meaning to go up and stay at the Bavarian Inn. Never seem to fit it in. Next time you go call me you dork!!! and we can have a dork to dork meeting!!!!!

Well unlike some of you slackers, I avoided the dis to actually get some work done today. Organized Monday's GS meeting, got some shopping done. Spent too much time in TDS. Emily got overly tired and flipped out. Got the bed linens changed and I'm 30 rows closer to having Emily's Jesse sweater done. Even got the Halloween decorations up. shweeew!!!

What a strangely quiet day. Not only here on our thread, but it's been that way at home all day too. I've been sleepy all day... I hate that. Bleh.

{{{HUGS}}} to those of you that have had to deal with the loss of a parent or parents. I haven't experienced that and can't even begin to image how hard that is. It was hard enough losing my grandmother. You know, that's what I love about this thread. The fact that we can go from aches and pains, to what kind of undies, to hula honeys to the loss of a loved one... Ya'll are the best and yes... we're all here to talk, to vent, cry, laugh...

Jodie, Creative Memories is wonderful! I have some of their things as well. I love their corner rounder! My next scrap booking purchase will be some of the journaling Genie software. I hate my handwriting, so would really prefer to use the computer for most of my journaling. I know some scrap bookers say it's important to have our own handwriting in there, but I'd rather limit how much mine is in there... it's just so awful!

Betty, I haven't seen Sweet Home Alabama but a friend did and loved it. Did you and DD go see it? My friend now has the hots for the ex-husband character. She had to bring his pic up on the computer for me to see. LOL He's too blonde for me...she can have him.

Elaine, You have such pretty hair! It always looks so gorgeous, no matter what you do! It's such the total opposite of my wild kinky mop, which now desperately needs to be colored again in order to try to tame some of the frizz. I'm definitely going to go more red next time.

Jeannie, Are you still pensive and dreamy? I got that way yesterday looking at pics to use for the party last night. When did my baby boy grow up?!?!

Betty, So that's what I have to look forward to huh Betty? Great! I guess ruining our kid's lives is what us Moms do best.

Jennifer, you are fine... you keep right on talking. I enjoy it and I do not think I have called you mouthy yet I did just make a note in my Passporter to get you tons of maps (preferably two copies). No big deal at all and I will be able to get you hopefully two copies of each park I go to (only the 4 main ones). There is a slight chance I might go to IOA or USF while there too.

Elaine you might be able to get maps of all four parks right at the Swan. I know when we went to ASMu a couple of weeks ago they gave us maps to all the parks and DTD.

Well most of the people I plan to spend a lot of time with are not official so that frees up some of the time. We'll get it to all work out when Kim & Michele agree when would be a good time. If we do it on the 7th, we could meet up at one of the parks if that works. I had penciled in Epcot but it doesn't matter really which one at all. Oh and I just confirmed with Dan that he woud be glad to meet up with you all too whenever we get it together

And Karen, I know all about the shy thing... that's why I am making my plans with specific people so I won't be "left behind" or alone. But remember, you did fine with me on the phone

Ok, I was typing this before I scrolled down and read all the other posts! But, since you are going to be involved in discon stuff, ya'll just tell me when it would be best to meet and where. Only problem is, if DH is working I might have to bring kids? I could possibly get IL to watch, but I would prefer not to. I just don't think they would understand me wanting to meet someone that I have been talking to on the internet. Know what I mean?

Yep...I'll be there from the 4th to the 7th. Not long at all... Not long enough. Hopefully we can pick a time and place where we can all get together at once. My time is so limited there, I want to make sure I don't miss meeting up with any of you, but it's going to be tricky. I arrive late on the 4th and leave late on the 7th. Any day, time and place is fine with me!! As long as I get to see all of you, I'm happy!

Oh, I'm going to have a picture for ya'll in a sec. Betcha can't wait huh?

Michele...Kim, Elaine, and I are all going unofficial so our time is our own meaning we really dont have to be in a certain place at a certain time to do the official functions. We can set our own schedules.

Michele more than most likely I will have dh and the kids with me since they are going to Disney with me. What ages are your kids? They might get along very well with mine. Mine are 8 and 4 both boys.
