The Disney store issued me a merchandise credit, not happy at all.

I am so mad at the Disney store. I sent back a bag that I didn't like, which I paid for with a Disney Gift Card. They got it and issued me an online merchandise credit. They did not refund the gift card that I used to pay for it with or email me another gift card. Now, I am assuming I can not use the $43.19 that I got refunded anywhere but the online Disney store. Not at Disney World, not towards the purchase of a ticket, or a package, none. Am I correct on this? If so, I will never ever pay for anything with a gift card at the Disney store online.

Here is their policy. It says they will refund if you return it within 30 days of the ship date. If you met the criteria I would contact ShopDisney saying you requested a refund, not a merchandise credit. No idea if you’ll get it refunded but it’s worth a shot.

I don't think so, but I am not 100% sure. But this is BS with them. They are giving me the runaround. I am mad. This is the way this company seems to be heading lately.

I have had issues with returning at the Disney Store stuff I bought online that qualifies for park merchandise. Supposedly, you can not return that stuff at the store. Now I really don't order anything. It is just too complicated. Plus, the Disney store is a pretty far drive.

What did they say when you called them and referenced their return policy and requested a refund to your GC, NOT a merchandise credit?

I'm actually considering a purchase from the site, and have a GC to use up so I'm curious as to how it plays out....

I use gift cards most of the time when shopping at ShopDisney. I've never shipped back an item I was returning and always bring it to a local store. The return has always been refunded to my original gift card.

I'm not sure if they physical stores differ from online returns, but you'd think they'd be able to put it back on your Gift Card.
