THE DISBOUTIQUERS IN 3-D: A Pictorial Trip Report of a Dismeet

I'm glad you were able to have such a nice meet with Dis friends. It looks like everyone was having a good time and just felt very comfortable plopping down on the ground and having good conversation.

I know what you mean about kids being up at all times of the night in Disney World.
Hopefully, they get to sleep in the next morning.
Really late, while we're riding everything in Fantasyland with no wait. :) Disney is one of those places that has activity going on almost every hour of the day, so there are always people coming and going.

I know you were missing your family. Do you remember what you bought for them that night?

Oh yes I sure was missing everyone. Luckily I wasnt away for a week! At Artist Point, I bought a Mickey Head cookie cutter which is large enough to use as a pancake mold too....in fact I will have to use it tomorrow morning. I got a cute red car with Minnie and Mickey in it. It is a salt and pepper shaker supposedly but awfully small. I couldnt get the bottom plastic plugs out to fill them. I will take a pic later and show you. I also bought the girls a 2-CD collection of Disney songs...its awesome! Its called "The Music Behind the Magic". I almost bought them charm braclets but decided it would be a fun activity for the girls when they went in Nov. I think that was about it that night. Course the next day in DTD I spent like $100 on stuff :scared: only cause it all fit in my new bag! I will have to take a pic of that too. :thumbsup2

What great pictures! The park looks empty! I also love that house and garden in Canada by Le Cellier. It looks like you all had a great time. How fun!

wow this tr is moving so fast i know i commented early on and thought i subbeed but i guess not. great report, it looks like everyone had so much fun together, i am just a little bit jealous, okay i am green with envy like elphaba in wicked but thats okay, i am so glad everyone had a great time:) i love seeing all the world showcase photos, we did the whole thing in the august heat in tropical storm fay so we kinda rushed it is nice seeing all the great shots.

Need something to read? Any updates coming this evening! I don't think I'll be getting pudding. I sent DH to walmart and he wasn't happy about that. He does like to cook and we both cook alot.

We both got steak at Le Celllier and neither one of us was impressed (the filet). I LOVE yachtman's but not for the price. Japan is super yummy and I never thought I would like it!

Great update! My kids are always the goofy ones in pictures! :confused3 :rotfl: No wonder you liked Le Cellier, you got the same thing I had! Mike got the same thing as Alice and HATED it. He said it was the worst cut of meat he'd ever had. I can't believe you didn't eat the breadsticks! They were soooooooooooo yummy! I even had the chocolate Moose! :cloud9: Jessica, Mike didn't want to go to Le Cellier because Lin told him it wasn't good :rotfl: I told him Lin must've ordered the same thing he did! And Lin should make you pudding!!! You're sick!!!

I should have taken a picture of the moving stream of people. It definately wasn't empty but I really enjoyed it anyways...I certainly had no lines to wait or anything. It was fun but I will never do it again without my kids...it just wasn't the same without them. Now my disney hating DH....he can hang out at the house....:rotfl: and enjoy the pool and game room next time we go!
I had seen pics of the garden and house but it was so neat seeing it myself! Did you see the movie in Canada??? Did I miss anything good?

Hi Kim! Did you see your shout out? Oh yes, I gotta get this thing done cause I am sewing and stuff and I hate things hanging over my head...plus I don't want to forget anything. I was saying to Alice that I would hate to try Epcot during the summer time because of all of the cement....it seemed like it would feel like an oven. I would have run from one AC building to the next ;)

I will do day three tomorrow hopefully and thats the end of the trip. I just found Heather's trip report. I am going to read it until bedtime! Oh you should have eaten what I ate....devine I tell ya! Alice liked Japan too!

Your kids are super duper cute and I really enjoyed them! You too! So what was your most favorite place to eat during this trip?
Oh no...Jess is sick? Feel better Jess!

I just asked Lin what he had but he can't remember. It was probably 3 years ago so I don't know why I thought he would remember. I remember we couldn't order steak for Dallas (which annoyed me because at the time he ate very little kid food) and we got him a hot dog. It was so gross no one even touched it!

No, we didn't see the movie in Canada either. I bet you missed your kids! I bet they can't wait to go in November. You will have a great time. My DH "likes" Disney, but he is definitely not the fanatic that I am. Actually, I am taking my Dad in May, just the two of us, and I am anticipating having that "not the same without him" feeling while we are there. He doesn't want to go this year though and encouraged me to take my father who REALLY wants to go....so off we shall go! :moped:

I <3 Le Cellier. I don't eat much red meat (like pretty much a hamburger once in a while), but I LOVED my food there- the same thing that you got! I am dying to go back! On our trip, the night after Le Cellier, I got a steak at Brown Derby for 2 credits. It wasn't nearly as good.

Gross...sorry about the bad food. I really think you should try it again!

Oh that sounds like fun to go with your dad! Are you a big planner? Do you have ADR's in mind?

Looks like you had a great day in Epcot! The Dis meet looked like so much fun!
The whole trip was amazing!

I would go back myself. I heard the Brown Derby was good....no?

Our last day in Disney World!

This morning we woke up and got ready. We packed and went up to the lobby. Alice was trying to get our boarding passes printed out. Of course the computers were not working again. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the princess’s royal horses and the lobby…

The pool one last time!

IMGP7907.jpg

We checked our bags to await our magical express journey and decided to walk to DTD again. It was another beautiful day and so refreshing to walk and breath the warm fresh air!

IMGP7908.jpg

It was about 9 or 9:15 am and we entered DTD and headed for Goofy’s candy store of course. We wondered the store for quite some time. I bought a muffin and nibbled and some treats for the kids. The CM at the counter knew all about Cape May and was chatting with Alice about it. I found a candy periodic table…too bad you can’t read it but it was really cute. Apparently they’re supposed to make it into a poster you can buy…I sure hope so cause it’s going up in my classroom if so!!

IMGP7909.jpg

Next we headed to the Alley Way discount store! I bought some cute Mickey plates and a height chart that says what Disney attractions the kids can ride on at their heights. Cute! Lets see I think I bought some coloring books, pens and a few other things. I was buying for Valentine's too.

I always get a pic here...have I grown any since last time???? :confused3 (don't answer that!):rotfl:

IMGP7913.jpg

IMGP7915.jpg

Next we headed past the Toy Store…I am saving it for our Nov trip with the kids….and right into the World of Disney.

IMGP7916.jpg

We were in here for at least an hour! I bought some earrings and jewelry for the girls and a Cars fleece blanket on sale (only $10!). Finally we were done shopping!

We walked past the Lego store .....

IMGP7918.jpg

IMGP7917.jpg

...and came upon something new! A huge dinosaur! We checked out the outside of the new T-Rex Restaurant…wow! I can’t wait to try it out. Has anyone eaten here yet? Is it good? I love the theming!

IMGP7919.jpg

IMGP7920.jpg

IMGP7921.jpg

IMGP7922.jpg

We were actually going somewhere…to get our boarding passes printed out at customer service by the old Pleasure Island entrance.

IMGP7923.jpg

I got to chatting with a nice gentleman about retiring in FL. Nine more years!!! Alice successfully procured our boarding passes and it was time for a quick bite at Earl of Sandwich. I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. The half I ate was yummy. I was just too full of Disney food to eat anymore. popcorn::

It was time to head back to SSR to get ready for our ME ride back to the airport. We got all of our luggage…one whopping carry on each, and I repacked my new Disney bag with all of my purchases. A bell service CM was very friendly and chatted with us about living in FL.

Soon enough a ME bus arrived (early) and we were going to get on it but it was packed. We decided to wait for our real bus. It Cruise Bus arrived. :cool1: We jumped aboard and awaited our Disney Cruise. Cool a bonus Disney Cruise!!!   Uhhh no…..it was just taking us to the airport. We were the second stop! We headed to security and I almost didn’t get thru. You see I forgot that I was wearing my sea sick bands and a belt. I set the alarm off twice. The friendly TSA guy jokingly said the third time was my last chance. I got through fortunately and then I had to repack. I am not as fast as Heather….it took Alice and I a few minutes to get me up and running again.

IMGP7924.jpg

IMGP7925.jpg

IMGP7926.jpg

Next we rode the monorail to our terminal and had a good hour before our flight. We got some snacks and chatted about our trip. Our flight home was uneventful and it was cold outside baby….from 70 to 35 degrees all in two hours. One interesting thing was that we flew right over my neighborhood and I was able to see it from the air. :3dglasses So cool! I was anxious to get home and see my family! So was Alice! And we did just that! I arrived home to a sick DD10  and ended up taking care of her all the next day. Poor thing.

IMGP7931.jpg

And the kids and my DH liked all of their gifts. Here's the Salt and Pepper Shaker Minnie and Mickey, the Mickey plate and Mickey pancake I made with the Mickey mold....

IMGP7934-1.jpg

I was really inspired to get ready for our next trip including planning and sewing 24 outfits! Our trip will be a family reunion and my friend and her girls are going too!! (Hi Le :yay: )

And that was our entire girls weekend /dismeet trip! It wasn’t long but it was filled with magic and friendship and lots of good memories. I love Disney touring when it isn’t summer. I don’t think I will go in the summer again. I would rather have fewer, less-crowded, gorgeous-weather days than 10 days in the summer, battling heat and crowds. I really loved meeting the Disboutiquers and their wonderful kids and families! I hope we can make this an annual trip! It doesn’t have to be Feb either…March or April (not spring break!) is good too! Thanks for reading along. I will start my Nov trip report this summer sometime. Hope to see you all back then!!!

IMGP7595.jpg

Have a magical day!!! pixiedust: : :mickeyjum :goofy: :tigger: :sulley: :donald: :dumbo: :stitch: :simba: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Aww, I am sad that it is all over now! What a wonderful report! You have inspired me to finish mine. Although I sat down to do another installment and then saw you updated yours!

I bet your girls missed you a ton! It was so nice to meet you and Alice. Wish she "got" us! You got really good at taking pictures of yourself and Alice. I gotta work on that! I think my arms are too short!

I love the pictures of the hotel. Well guess it isn't a hotel per se. How nice to leave the toy store for November! We love the toy store!

Oh that sounds like fun to go with your dad! Are you a big planner? Do you have ADR's in mind?

Oh yeah, I love to plan!! We have ADR's for California Grill, Narcoosee's, Tutto Italia, and Garden Grill.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us! I will look for your next trip report! :thumbsup2

Great report Cathy! It looks like you had a great weekend filled with fun and friends. Your capris are adorable!
