THE DISBOUTIQUERS IN 3-D: A Pictorial Trip Report of a Dismeet

"]Well, I spent all weekend finishing up my planning of what outfits the girls were wearing. Then I figured out the yardage. I spent about $90 and gots lots of fabric too. Tom said I should start sewing now...its about 24 outfits and I am hoping to have a women on Etsy make three special outfits for the girls.
The lady at the register kept using coupons for me. I am sure without the sale it would have been close to $200. I still need to buy more stuff for the outfits...all 24 of them but I definately have started.

See it's things like this that make me glad God has only blessed me with one child!!! 24 outfits???? I'd need ativan to help me through that anxiety attack!

Ok so I left off at the MK gate around 6:15 pm......ready?

I called Steph back and they were on the boat to MK. I was going to stake out a spot for Spectro for later. It was a little early so Alice and I walked around to see some of the Main St. buildings. We then headed up Main Street. We wanted to try to get to Toontown but it was getting late. I think Alice wanted to watch the parade near the hub but it was already three deep. Big mistake. It was terribly crowded already.

We went in Exposition Hall to check out BBB photography studio and also the theater....

Steph called me back and said she was at the flag pole with Jessica and Cindy. We decided to head back and join them there. We were almost there when I saw a pretty custom dress. I was getting ready to say that it was the first custom I have seen when I recognized the dress. I looked at the child and sure enough it was……Leighanna! I was shocked! So shocked I couldn’t get her name out. Tom’s wife must have thought I was a nut. Fortunately Tom came over and I introduced myself! They were so nice and sweet.

We entered the end of Main Street near the flag pole which was pretty full by now too. I had made the first Tour Guide Mike mistake. He said to stake out a spot at 6:30. But noooooo, I had to wonder around and miss out on finding a good spot. (Ok, TGM 1 – Them 1). Thank goodness Steph and Jessica came to the rescue. They found great spots. She called just as I was about to find her and Jessica. Cindy and Morgan were there too. And all of the kiddos….apparently they were all out looking for me. Garsh, the kids were all so cute and playing together nicely! I was trying to take it all in (in a good way!) seeing these great Disboutiqers live and in person standing in front of me talking. It’s hard to explain. You go from seeing them, the kids mostly, every few days in 2-D pics online. Suddenly they are in front of you. It was and was not like meeting someone new. I knew these people but didn’t. KWIM?

Poor Alice did not understand the whole Dismeet thing. I don’t blame her really. She was on her phone with her hubby while we Dissers chatted away the time. I have to say everyone was so nice. Jessica was really funny and Steph was great too. I briefly met Cindy and Morgan was so sweet with her hugs. They left soon after. I think they were really tired. Tom swung by with his family too!

Finally, it was Spectro time! Again, pictures cannot do it justice. My camera is terrible at night-time pics. I tried to take a few but they didn’t come out too well. The parade was such fun and the lights and music were great. At this point I was really, really, really missing my kids. It was fun to get away but I was just wishing so much that they were there. They would have loved seeing Spectro. It is on my must-do list for our Nov 2009 trip.

Am I boring you with all of these terrible pics yet?????

After Spectro was over, it was time to get ready for Wishes. We decided to fight our way to the top of Main Street with everyone: adults, kids and strollers too. The only way to do it was go through the shops. I told everyone that I knew of a special spot where we just had try…its confidential insider’s info. I could tell you but then I would have to charge you. Hahahahaha. Lets just say that Tour Guide Mike won again….TGM 2 – Them 1. He had a great spot for us to watch Wishes!!!!

IMGP7764.jpg

Well, we all got separated getting there so thank goodness for cell phones. It was absolutely mobbed I tell ya!!! Anyone who was in Disney World was on Main St. that night. A few calls later we all eventually made it to our secret spot. And Stacy and Kristina joined us as well! What a blast! Again, everyone was just so nice and funny and we all seemed to know each other! We took a few pics and soon enough Wishes started. Well, it was just as glorious as I had imagined. The music and the company and the beautiful view….it was such a perfect moment in time. I really don’t think it gets much better than that, here on earth anyways. Tink flew over us and the colors were amazing on the castle and in the sky. Kristina was taking some great pics with her nice Cannon camera. You will have to see her trip report for the awesome shots. Amazing show…and I didn’t even cry. I cry at everything too.

You can't stop there! I am up to our ESPN meet already! Your pictures are WAY better then mine! I am quite jealous and saved them all for myself to print!

Your camera seems alot like mine, works well in the daytime, but doesn't like night at all.

TINKERBELL! HI TINK!

SO, who is everyone in the pictures above Tink?

Hey I found a few pics of the fireworks....

After Wishes, MK was still open for a while. Since we weren’t going to use them, I gave our three FP sets to Jessica and Stacy and Kristina. There were heading to that side of the park. Alice and I decided we were going to go to Toontown and Fantasyland. After some good-byes, we headed off. Apparently, everyone left. The park seemed quiet and mostly empty. Once in Toontown, we had to go through Minnie’s house and get the requisite sewing machine pictures. Then we had to check out the Hall of Fame tent store. Alice’s daughter requested one item there and so she just had to get it. It was fun browsing.

IMGP7775.jpg

We were going to take the railroad back around to the front of the park but it was closed. So we walked over to Fantasyland. The one ride I had never been on was Snow White. I wanted to see just how scary it was before letting my kiddos try it. Turns out it wasn’t so bad and I think they would be able to ride it. Alice and I also agreed earlier in the day that the Haunted Mansion was out….too long and realistic for the little ones. My 10 yr old would like it but not my little ones.

Here are some scenes from our Adventure...

We headed to the castle and looked through some stores nearby. The castle was lit up and I kept remembering the Mom’s Panel Report by DisneyJo. Did you read it??? Disney Jo and other mom’s panelists actually got to stay in the castle overnight. I was trying to see their window. How cool to get to walk around MK at night in your pajamas!

IMGP7783.jpg

By now it was about 9:45 pm and it was time to head out of the MK. What a fun-filled day it was!!!! We had done everything on my to-do list and we were happy tired. Filled to the brim happy. Disney happy!!!

Gorgeous tile scenes inside the castle....

IMGP7784.jpg

IMGP7785.jpg

IMGP7786.jpg

We headed to the bus, which was waiting and practically empty. I forgot to mention that the bus driver had us all singing on the way over to MK in the morning. We sung “When you wish upon a star…” It turned out to be the perfect song for the day. I couldn’t have wished anything different! We arrived back “home” tired and ready for bed. It’s nice to hear “Welcome Home” all the time. Too bad we don’t really live here. Do you think the people who work at Disney get tired of it? Does it lose its magic? That would be tragic….I sure hope not. So we climbed into our respective beds and slept soundly. We decided to sleep in a bit the next day since it would be a late night again.

Some parting shots.....

Good Night Magic Kingdom!!!!

Next up, our Epcot Day and the official big Dismeet.

That looks similar to the spot where we watched Wishes last May. It was my Mom's idea, when she saw Tink's guidewire overhead. I love Wishes!!!

You really look like you are having a fun time!

Yes, Corey is taking Physics now, he is getting an A, he's a smart kid! :teacher:

I so wanted to take a pic in Minnie house at the sewing machine but it was nuts over there all day. We should have followed you guys and went at night. But we did have a blast riding more rides with Jessica's family.
