The DIS podcast forum isn't showing in the forum list

I have this forum on my watched forums list, so I can still see it:

But it's not showing on the main forum page at https://www.disboards.com/ .

Also, have some posts been lost from the podcasts forum? The last post is dated more than 3 weeks ago - October 3 2024.

It was slow of late- but still a nice spot to have to give feedback on the show IMO. Also could be used by team members to ask for topics, run polls like old days, etc - but I guess traffic data talks.

I completely understand. Over the past year, feedback and polls have been conducted in the comments of specific videos, with some polls also available on Patreon. Those comments are read, whereas posts about the show often fall on deaf ears. I decided to hide it in hopes of encouraging comments where input is actively read and, hopefully, addressed. The boards remain very active, but this particular one has declined. This change might not be permanent, but for now, it’s hidden and gone!

I completely understand. Over the past year, feedback and polls have been conducted in the comments of specific videos, with some polls also available on Patreon. I'm saddened by the hiding of the podcast forum. By hiding it you are reducing the posts there even more, and almost assuredly guaranteeing the death of it.

I don't understand why it's a problem to have a not-so-active forum visible. Is it using more than its share of resources? Is it somehow costing the DIS too much to keep it visible? It seems to me it's a small cost compared to the many busier forums.

The audio podcasts are much more convenient for me since I can listen in the car (really any time and anywhere), while the video podcasts require me to be at a computer to see the full picture. I won't be leaving feedback on videos that I'm not watching.

Lately it feels like some audio podcasts are being neglected. The main DIS Unlimited show is the exception, it's generally uploaded quickly. For some other DIS podcasts:

Disney Dining Show - the audio version hasn't been uploaded since August and there have been 6 dining show videos posted since the last audio show.

Universal Show (UOFan) - the audio version is missing the two most recent podcasts from the last 2-4 weeks.

DCL Show - the audio version is missing the two most recent podcasts from the last 2 weeks.

Thanks! I was wondering what happened to it. That forum is the place I go when I have questions regarding their podcast etc.

I think the big problem is that no one currently on the show reads it they just look at the comet on YouTube now

At this point why are you even keeping the DIS podcast forum around? I tried posting a new thread there and it's still awaiting approval. If you're not going to allow new content, you might as well kill it now.

Just wrote a response over there and it is waiting approval too. I thought it was strange because that has never happened before. Sigh.

Sorry to hear this! That board was the place that I communicated with the Podcast community. Will miss it for sure.
