Mornin' Peeps!

Katie: Beano & I usually go outside as well :)

...guess it'll depend on how hot it is on that day ;)

Good point! July can be a bit on the warm side, LOL! I like to get in cruise mode and see the water. OMG, I cant believe we are talking about this!!!! It will be here so fast now!

For us, soooo much will go on between now and the cruises!

Bob will graduate from high school and we will have to prepare for college. Sumthin' like 3 weeks after we get home from the cruises, we have to take him to college :sad1:

SO excited for him, but kinda sad for Beano & I....our baby boy is growing up. :goodvibes

:sad1:
You will be busy busy busy! But thats good.

We have a "graduation" here too this spring. Cam moves on the middle schol. Which reminds me I have a 5th grade celebration meeting tonight.

first year, we went to Topsiders...last year we went to PC because it was kinda hot

We got nuthin' to eat when we went out of LA in '05!! First, we did Xfers on a bus from Paradise Pier - NOT VERY ORGANIZED at all. And I think it left too late so by the time we got to the port we had a huge line / wait & I swear we had a late group boarding number or something and we barely got onboard before it left!! We went on the deck & found a table where we could put ourselves for the party (didn't even go to our room first) but all we had time to get was a drink before everything started!! No lunch for us that day whatsoever! I felt very rushed and didn't even know there WAS FOOD available anywhere! Maybe they just didn't know what they were doing in CA, but that's why I didn't want to schedule the DCL bus Xfers from WDW to the port in FL!! Don't want THAT screw up again!:goodvibes I want on that boat EARLY this time!

Annie, when did you sail? Was it at the beginning? I have heard there were some transfer issues at first, but I had heard they got straightened out.

We did Aug 13 that year, the last one before the repo.

I'm back but I swear I aged 10 years in the last two days!
Yesterday I called the dealership (at 7:00am when they open) and was told, "we're busy until 10:00 helping customers. I can leave a message but I doubt anyone will get back to you until after then."
Um EXCUSE ME? WE HAVE BOUGHT FIVE CARS FROM YOU AND THIS IS AN EMERGENCY AND THIS IS ALL I GET? So, after I beat myself up at the gym I go there and am told by

MAN #1, "oh, the wash guys throw out everything before they wash it. Unless it's keys, it's tossed."

"IT'S A BOX 3 FEET BY 3 FEET BY 2 FEET WITH 32 BIG ENVELOPES CONTAINING 726 PIECES OF ARTWORK! YOU DON'T THINK SOMEONE WOULD THINK TO PUT IT ASIDE?"

"No, why would they?" (Are you serious?)

So, wash MAN #2 confirms that nothing is EVER left in a car by the way when I got the car there was trash in the back seat

THEN- finally some sanity walks in WOMAN #1 checks who checked out the car after me, calls the guy (who had already checked the car back in)
SHE actually walks back to the wash area and checks the car herself. But no artwork. On the way back in she runs into WOMAN #2

WOMAN #2 saw wash MAN#2 about to toss the box and saved it from the dumpster, put it in the courtesy van she drove and had it with her. That's why no one could find it. SHE knew it was important!

Whew! YES! I GOT IT BACK (now unfortunately, some of it is all wrong and has to be redone :lmao: <banging head on wall>)

Now I am no man basher. But, here, the men come out smelling like dog p** and the women are pure roses!

Thanks everyone for your concern and good thoughts. Believe it or not, it helped.

I do believe I would like to go on vacation now. Please.

We went out for 3 n pre-cruise at DL and our sail date was July 2 (my birthday)!! Paradise Pier wasn't very organized either. I don't think they knew what to do with a full house or something! :confused3 Our room wasn't ready when we got there (3:00ish) so we grabbed something to eat in the restaurant by the lobby & walked around the property for a bit (kept calling to check on our room status from the house phones). With an early flight in from the East Coast like that we needed to get into our luggage before heading out to the parks & we sort of got stuck in limbo w/o a room OR luggage. Around 4:30 or so still no room! :rolleyes1 I was on a house phone just inside the hotel from the rooftop pool and that's when DS got into one of the glass enclosed elevators (by himself) that faced the lobby and GOT STUCK!! I am not sure what he did but the doors wouldn't open and it wouldn't move up or down! I called the front desk & they were clueless what to do. So I told them to call maintenance. Finally, the hotel manager and the building engineers showed up. The elevator emer. call button had also called the fire dept. and park security!:rotfl: This went on & on & a crowd gathered in the lobby! Nobody could get this thing to move! The longer it went on the more frantic DS got! It was nice that we could SEE him tho! They finally had to call the Otis Elevator people to come out (which they just happened to be somewhere close by)! They climbed out onto the roof of it and took it UP a floor before they could get the doors to open up! SUCH COMMOTION!! I was like OH GREAT! We've been in CA for all of an hour and LOOK at how things are starting out!:sad2: ANYWAY, the whole elevator ordeal took about an hour and it ended up being a bonus as the manager made sure we had a room ready IMMEDIATELY then ('cuz I told him this happened while we were waiting for our room). They also gave us an upgrade from a std. view to a park view and then sent someone up RIGHT AWAY with a stuffed Goofy and a gigantic dolphin balloon. They were very apologetic but overall, I didn't feel like DL was running as smooth as DW!:confused3

Yay Cheri!!!:cheer2: Back and messed up a bit is better than dumpsterized!

Yay, Cheri!!! I cant believe they would have just dumped that! Do people think? Yikes!

Oh Annie! What an ordeal! Great job getting the upgrade though. I love the Park View from PP! Lets hope this trip goes a bit smoother. :goodvibes

Well, tonight is our first band concert - the one that is JUST DS's school (next Thurs. is the "Cluster concert" with the 2 other elem. schools that feed into his middle school). Last year it was a spring concert but this year it is a winter concert. And it USED to be a "Holiday Concert". Go figure.:confused3

I have to have him there by 6:15...so I think we shall eat afterward...then it'll be time to catch up on AI....my oh my does the time fly!
