LOL! Actually it doesnt seem like much once I write it out. Thats good. But there are other things that go with the stuff, like clean and shop for the parties, trying to still put in some time for work, laundry, kids homework, etc... Luckily this is Cams bye week for basketball so that works out nicely...no practice and no game.

Oh wait, thats what I have next Wednesday...BBall practice.

Ok, so....

Kids had a foggy day schedule this morning. Just dropped them off at school (keep in mind it's almost 10am here) and the temp outside is still 36!!! Now while that probably doesn't sound so cold to you right-coasters, I'm freezing! So, I figure while I'm out, I'll go get a Starbucks. Pull into the drive-thru....long line. Whatever... heater in car is turned on. I place my order and wait for my turn. I get to the window and the girl sez....it's on the house! You've had to wait far too long. I say Merry Christmas and come home with a free tall nonfat, no whip white mocha!

OK, so I am so-o busy & so-o stressed today! I am off tomorrow for one of my "use 'em or lose 'em" days but then the lady I job share with here took today off - so I am REALLY being her. BUT THEN also, the receptionist is off today & tomorrow so I had to be here early (well, technically, ON TIME) to let the temp in & train her for the switchboard. SHE is making me nuts! She was here once about 6 months ago so remembered a little bit on what to do - so she insisted she didn't need me to stay with her for more than like 30 minutes this morning. Humrph. She sucks. When she pages she's too fast & she's not loud enough & I'm tired of telling her LOUDER!!! So I was downstairs between the switchboard & this other job until about 10:30 & on my way back up I asked her if she wanted a break. No she says. So I go upstairs & am trying to do MY work & she keeps sending calls thru to MY line! After about 4 in a row I ask her what she's doing & she's like I didn't know who to give them to! Well, then I may as well freaking sit at the front desk & answer the switchboard if you can't use our notes & lists & figure it out!! I was like you HAVE to figure them out - I can't take all the calls! I had told her I'd be back around 1:00 to break her for her lunch. She calls me at 12:45 & asks "can I go to lunch now". I ate at my desk / worked thru so I was like ARRRGGGHHH. THEN this other girl who didn't realize that the OTHER girl was out tracked me down 'cuz she had a crisis & I'm like "sorry, but the temp has to eat first"! Now I'm on the switchboard, opening the mail and typing to you guys! Then I get to go back upstairs & be me for an hour or so then I get to be the other girl at 3:00 to submit the orders...Oh please just let me keep up with the 50 or so emails that I know are stacking up in my inbox! LOL Oh what a day...late December back in '63 daddaadaaa

Must send packages. Packages for Brothers family are ready to be sent. I don't seem to have a box big enough for all of them so gonna have to have UPS do that for me.

Just scheduled massage for Saturday! Had a birthday gift certificate and figured since Neil has been gone all week - it's mommy time! He can take the girls shopping as there is nothing under the tree for me. Other than the 2 things I picked out for myself. So those don't count.

Must dig through house. I gotta have a roll of tape around here somewhere...

Well my kids are now officially over 1/2 hour late. The schools let the HS out about 1/2 hour early and the plan was this would get the busses to the middle schools about 15 minutes early, and traffic permitting, to the elementary schools right on time. I guess not. I feel like I should go get them but who knows if they are on the road or not. And looking at the traffic I wont be going anwhere. We live on a little cul de sac off an averagely busy road. There is a light about 1/4 mile up that goes to Main St. The traffic is backed up past my street. I think Ive only seen this 1 other time in the 9 years Ive lived here. Its pretty bad out there.

Thanks! They made it! They got home about 3:35...usually get in about 2:50.

Now to get DH home, LOL! He left at 5:00 and it sounds like everything is gridlock out there. With no traffic (like when he goes in at 6:30 AM) he can make the commute in under 20 minutes. Hes been out over an hour so far and I would guess he still has a way to go. At least the kids are entertaining themselves out in the snow so I can work.

OK, so all of this Xmas talk lately is getting to me. I must get motivated to finish my cards soon (well, at least sometime in the next 3 weeks or so)! I would love to exchange Xmas cards with any of my new Dis-Functional Peep friends that would also like to exchange cards! Hey CamColt - thinking 'bout ya'll up there...heard flight delays in & out of Logan were 2 to 3 hours! Sounds like the mess we had here with traffic last week! I can definitely sympathize! Hope DH makes it home safe!

OK, so guess how my afternoon ended?! Show of hands please!

OMG. This ditsy temp broad comes back RIGHT AFTER I said she was 15 min. late. Her excuse? She got lost leaving the mall...ummmm... Yeah. Right.

OK so I have to do my co-workers afternoon work at 3:00. That takes about 1 1/2 hours or so to submit the orders to Steelcase etc. etc. When I finished I went back out thru the lobby & asked my temp if she was ready for a bathroom break or anything. She says "No - I'm good - but I WOULD like to leave early." WHAT? I was like We-e-e-l-l-l-l I don't really think so. We can't do that 'cuz we really can't just shut the switchboard off before 5:00. But I told her she could ask MY boss if she wanted to 'cuz that's who would be signing her timesheet. OK she says. I understand. Do you wanna know that this BIMBO freaking walked out the front door at 4:45 & just LEFT?! 15 minutes early after I told her no. She did something to the switchboard to make it "busy" and she just left. Someone saw her walk out & told me...so I asked my boss if she'd asked & she was like NO. Why? So I explained. But after I told her NO! OMG. And she's supposed to be back again tomorrow!! Her timesheet was not signed so she won't get paid if she doesn't return. And my boss already emailed the temp agency. What a pisser 'eh?! She was a real piece of work that one!
