:rolleyes1 oh sooo many comments I could make...

But you wouldn't...right??

Morning!!

Why am I here?? Remind me again....oh yeah, need to pay for Disney in 27 days!!!!! :cool1:

Renee..have fun with your construction project today...are you going to try to :yay: today?? Or just :surfweb: ..maybe :laundy: ???

LOL!!

Bets: forgot that security door installers are "supposed" to be here this morning yeah...and they said that on Friday too

Hopefully they show up this time. Will hopefully get back to :yay: tomorrow.

:grouphug: HI everyone

We're gonna have a little construction project this week too. (Having one more turn-over in our guestrooms for this week! :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: ) My Uncle is coming with 2 of his guys to replace our back landing / steps down to the patio :woohoo: We bought this synthetic wood stuff (like Trex but something else) last summer when he was here finishing our basement - so it was delivered like last Aug.! But then he ran out of time to get it done...promised me he'd be back in Oct. but then that never happened either... DH doesn't have the right power equip. (or the patience) to do it (right)!! So, this expensive crap has been stacked up on our patio since last Nov. (at first, it was in the garage & we had it stacked so that were both parking over top of it) but I didn't want to get that disgusting winter slush melting all over it so we moved it. ANYWAY, I too am excited to get this done (finally)!! The diff. between my workers and yours are that mine STAY with us & get room & board (and beer) at the end of the day!:lmao: No more splinters!!

:thumbsup2 Sah-weet Annie!

You'll have to show us before and after pics of the new addition.

btw... door guy showed up, but door wasn't correct and didn't fit!! Go figure, it's always sumthin! Can't wait for that manager to call me so I can give them a lil talkin' too :rotfl2:

I think I should get a discount for my inconvience :scratchin

Yes, yes, discount for sure.

Just called some worker guy types - you are scaring me though - wood guy to put mantel on fireplace and air duct guy to suck dust out before we turn on air conditioner for the summer.

Next its the carpet cleaner and perhaps the window/gutter cleaner guy.

hhmmm...somebody told me I might be nesting...

RJ - going to cabin this weekend..can you come up? canya canya huh? Oh come on its not that far from Kingsburg. Beano - call in sick....our cabin season is going to be a short one this year.

I Gots A Present, I Gots A Present!!!!!:yay:

Me Loves It, Me Loves It!!!

Ok, I am really feeling guilty here. You guys are all doing all these great projects and here we are lucky if we (read DH) mow the lawn. I'm slacking. :(

What is scary is that down here in SF, there is no reason to suck the dust out of your ducts. The A/C never gets a rest! :confused3

You've nothing to feel guilty about - all DH does around here is mow the lawn (after I ask him about it at LEAST 6 times)! He will also fertilize it if I go out & buy the stuff... Because I'm obsessive, I am the main work-a-holic around here tho. I do all of the errands, cleaning, laundry & landscaping stuff. And I have been warned if I dig any more holes [read: plant any more trees or make any more beds] I will have to start doing the mowing too as he doesn't like having to go around anything!!

Replacing our back steps is a project that my Uncle said he could help with LAST summer...like I said, the materials were delivered like 10 months ago!! Does that really sound like we're not slacking a little bit?! :rotfl: Now that our basement is done, it really shows how badly we need to paint the rest of the house inside...but it ain't happenin' this year! We can't do most of what really needs done ourselves as we'd need scaffolding - I guess it will be there next year waiting for us to hire someone....

:coffee: Mornin'

Another day, another baseboard to paint :rotfl2:

Flooring guys working their way down the hall today, finishing 1/2 bath (I hope) and kitchen.....on the way to master bedroom. Hope the bed doesn't have to be taken apart :scared:

How is everyone? :grouphug:

I think I am glad I am not on the Magic's Trans Atlantic crossing!!!

:scared1:
I wont dare show Cam that picture or we will never get him on the cruise next year.

:scared1: OMG!! Where did you get that picture?! Is that really from the transatlantic crossing?! Wow! :scared:
Cheri - have you heard anything else from your friend, Anna?!

My Uncle had told me he'd be coming "sometime" today...he showed up at 7:45 right as I was about to back out of the garage to leave for work! I'm hoping when they tear out the old steps they don't find too many problems...the old steps have settled quite a bit as they were put in the yr. after we built the house & the ground was still recent backfill at the time...we were planning to re-use the old frame but it was concreted in & if it's settled TOO much...well, let's say that it could be an interesting day...just hope it's not an expensive one!!!!!!

WOW! The Magic got a wave pool! Cool :lmao: Nope no word from Anna - guess if I checked my email ... everyone seems to be having a great time from the TR's though. all the planning the DIS'ers did over the past year has made things nice. <sigh> guess we better start making fish extenders, planning scavernger hunts, planning who leaves what "treat" on which day, when the Jimmy Buffett party will be, geez theses people are a hard act to follow - although, I bet we could out drink 'em  hm, now is that "something to be proud of", I'm not sure. Well, "Hell Yeah! Turn it up!"

BTW, not that you asked, but that's the ringtone for my fun friends.

Waves and all I would have gotten on that Transatlantic cruise in a heartbeat except for the whole Third Trimester Rule.

As I recall when we all cruised in October the pool was closed the first couple of days. Sloshing water there was.

Think of it as the old dancing waters show at the Disneyland Hotel. Brought back special for the Med Repo Cruise. OK maybe Cheri remembers that.

Ho hum. Another Wednesday.

Gotta get some graduation cards in the mail tomorrow.

ok friends...here's a question for ya:

We got an invite to a graduation party for a brother & sister. The son is graduating from high school (so I figure $ would be good gift) but the daughter is graduating from college and is engaged to be married in the fall. What should we give her as a gift...I'm don't know what to get??

Suggestions....?

Do you have a Linens & Things or Bed Bath and Beyond?? Maybe a gift card to something like that??

I don't know..when in doubt..cash is king!

Bets:

Since I don't know what we'll be getting her for her wedding present...I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and get something that would have potential as a wedding gift :confused3

I know, I know.....I'm so picky!

well!! Pfft!!!

Just cash....how rude to graduate and get married in such a short amount of time!!! LOL
(fran graduated in June, married in July)
