Hello there all....I'm new to your crew so be gentle on me and break me in slow! U guys sound like a bag of mixed nuts (but that's ok - we like nuts)!

We just snagged the last SPH (5520) that was avail. for the 7/20 this past Thurs. ...Just one scoop for us this time around...no double dippin or triple dippin for us - just glad we can be there at all! It's just 3 of us...DS will be 11 for this trip...

We did the West Coast on the Magic in '05 - this will just be our 2nd cruise and first time on the Wonder...looking forward to CC and making some new friends... :thumbsup2

Welcome, Annie!!! It's great to have another cruise mate.

Gotta love those SPH rooms, don't ya? We had 5522 once. :thumbsup2

My son Cameron will be 11 on the cruise too. Perfect!

Again, welcome to this crazy bunch. Hmmmm, if I'm not the newbie anymore, does this officially make me one of the nuts? :rotfl:

:welcome: Annie!
Glad to have you join our group :goodvibes

Katie: I'm sorry about the storm...guess it wouldn't be nice to tell you that it supposed to be in the 80's here today huh?!

Stay warm and enjoy that <wink wink> cocoa

Nice! ;) Ironically it was almost 70 on Wednesday, tonight is going down to the low 20s (so everything will freeze nicely overnight) and early forecasts are 60 for next Friday. What a rollercoaster March is here.

Enjoy your 80!

Annie - I had 5520 in October on the Magic...you will love it!! I am on the other side in SPH 5020, so maybe we will see each other in the halls as well!

Kinda cool here today, bright sun and about 62..tonight in the 40's! Big change when we were in the high 80's last week!

We had a nasty storm come through late yesterday afternoon..knocked down trees, powerlines...we had no power for about an hour. I got stuck in traffic for 45 minutes..I could have walked to my house in 15 minutes!! It was so insane!

we had 12-15 inches of snow up here and it took me 4 1/2 hours to get home from work yesterday as opposed to the normal 1 hour it takes me, i will post pictures later, for and idea of how deep the snow was it went up to Linda's knee .

Happy St. Patricks Day

Drink some green beer, eat some corned beef and cabbage, catch a lephrecaun, enjoy an Irish blessing......:grouphug:

Hey! I'm glad you found us (guess you can ignore my PM with the stupid instructions). You will be double-dippin' with us though...

unless, of course, they changed the itinerary and didn't tell me  is this some secret like how we are really staying at the Bedrock Bungalows anad Beer Garden in June ?

Hi again! Thanks for the warm welcome! Hate to tell you but I'm a rambler when I write....

You guys have made me spend my whole entire Sat. afternoon THINKING! :headache:

I told DH about the idea of some of you doing the 4 n & 3 n back-to-back & I had to think about that idea for like ALL DAY! I had to stop my mopping & dusting & spend time doing some math! :teacher: We orig. signed up for just the 4 n. 'cuz we didn't want to do the West Coast cruise again + we wanted to cover it with our DVC points...but the idea of doing a 4 n & 3 n back-to-back never occurred to us! We were planning to just do 3 n at WDW for a little Land & Sea combo thing - which after using our pts for the cruise, we're out of points so we would have to do that on cash (but that wouldn't be TOO much 'cuz we get a DVC discount).

OK, so we're going down this summer for a week & we were going to buy an AP so we could use it again next summer rather than pay the jacked up 3 day price next yr - but of course, the AP is about $500 more than just buying 7 days of park hoppers by the time you include a day at the water parks... So. Hummm. $500 + the probably $600 or so we'd spend for the 3 n at whatever resort....that would be $1,100 toward the 3 n cruise....plus meals for 3 days...

So then I had to visit the DCL website....lo and behold....our 5520 cabin was still avail. for the 7/24.... Can you smell the smoke comin' out of my head?!

So. Hummm. Wondering if we should put a 24 hr. hold on this 5520 while it's still avail. while we weigh out our options. Do you guys book directly with DCL or do you use DU or what? If we put a hold with DCL can we get it transferred to DU or does it have to be a confirmed ressie to do that?! I'm especially interested 'cuz this same cabin is still avail.

OMG. Look at what you guys have done to me - it's my first day on your thread & I'm a maniac already!!! They don't appear to have a smiley that is pulling out their hair - but if they did that would be the one I'd pick to put here!

Annie:

I say book it! :thumbsup2 With getting the same cabin for the b2b's then you don't have to get off the ship in between. That's what all our group has done. :cool1:

 See, we are "catching"!

...and btw, we use Dreams to do our bookings! :thumbsup2 Our TA is the bestest one in the whole wide world SE, are you reading this?!

:lmao: I Kinda knew when I wrote that last post that I'd be preachin' to the choir!

Just not sure yet - it's a neat idea - and we're thinking it over - but we've never been to CC. We've heard it's quite nice but don't know if we want 3 days there! Likewise - do we want to go to Nassau twice? It would be nice to have a 3rd stop somewhere (do you think we could talk the captain into slipping up to Bermuda for a day?! It sounds like you guys should be on a first name basis with him by now!) :rotfl:

I did submit a req. to DU yesterday afternoon just to see their bottom line compared to DCL....and I mentioned that I only wanted this cabin....so now I don't know if I should put a hold on it or not with DCL - I know that you can do that for 24 hrs. I want to make sure we don't lose it - but I know it needs to look like it's avail. for DU to get my price...which they won't do until next week. OOPS!!

I just don't know yet guys! :confused3

HA HA HA HA HA :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Not like CC...that is good!! *wipes tear*..Thanks..I needed that!

I don't plan to get off in Nassau..I have stayed there for a week on a yacht...been there, done that! I will enjoy the ship while it is deserted!

Ps...I think I almost have Nick and Rick convinced to go to WDW...if some teenage peeps would visit his myspace and introduce themselves...maybe he would more comfortable knowing he has friends there:dance3:

Annie, I love it! 1 day on this thread and you are already thinking of triple dippin. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

And yes, I hear those Dreams Unlimited people are pretty cool! :rolleyes1 ;)
I was a client for quite a few trips over the course of about 4 years so I can say that without it being a pat on my back. ;)

I'm sorry I can't help you out Annie, but I can't book cruises. I'm sure someone in that department will take very good care of you. Maybe Sue Ellen, who is also cruising with us, will see this and be able to help you out.

As for not liking CC, I think the only way you could not like it is if you didn't like beaches. It truly is paradise. I know Im in the minority on this, but I have always thought the best food of the cruise has been at Cookies BBQ on CC too. :thumbsup2

Ok, I'm just thinking this now...you know how sad it always is when you are pulling away from CC, not only to leave there, but knowing the cruise is almost over? How awesome is this going to be knowing 1, the cruise isn't over, and 2, we are going back there (twice). :yay: :woohoo: :goodvibes

I'm glad I could provide some form of amusement for all of you! :goodvibes

I got an email a little while ago from someone at DU - Tracy Whipple. It just said that she'd be handling my request. Does DU typically have cheaper prices than thru DCL? Last time we just booked right with them. I also put in a req. for a price quote thru Small World Vac. just 'cuz I know of them thru Mousesavers...

I was wondering if I could do the reservation online with Disney & get the $25 room credit they're offering - then transfer it to DU?! I've read some posts on other threads about transferring reservations - but wasn't sure it would be worth it for $25 or $50. That's not a make or break amount in my book...

Here's another question - it was my understanding that they'd let you stay on the ship while it's in Port on the 24th if you want to - but that everything would be shut down...no bars, food, pools, kids club... Have any of you done this back-to-back thing before? What do you do all day? Just curious.

Still trying to decide what to do....I think our DS would actually prefer to split the trip up & have a few days of each...he LOVES rides! He was one of those toddlers that loved to be carried in the clothes basket & to ride on your back - he used to save tickets from diff. places & then bring them to us like he was at the county fair & he'd beg for a ride from us! It really was pretty cute. Now he spends all day building rides on the computer....

Ophie!! I see you!!! Get over here!!

just made Gumbo..MMm...it is 62 and 20% humidity....brrr!

:lmao: US? well, since we'll have our own bar and most likely plenty of food ... hmmm, what to do... I want to take some pictures of a deserted ship (just think of the weird stuff we could do :cool2: ). I don't think we'd have any trouble amusing ourselves for those few hours.

Clothes baskets... hmmm ... might could think of a few things to do with them... races down the hall way?

Well, since the room stewards will be cleaning all the rooms during that time, they might not like it too well if we're in the hallways! :lmao:

We might have to restrict ourselves to the upper decks when we're not in the suite(s). Maybe we could get some peanuts and go on up on deck 10 and have a contest to see who can hit the most Volkswagens in the port parking lot. Twenty extra points if it's still moving! 30 if the window is open and you bonk the driver on the head!:)

Hey all! Happy St. Patricks Day! Ophie and I spent the day at a children's cancer fundraiser. St. Baldricks. It is a fundraiser for people to shave their heads for children's cancer research and for Locks of Love. It was pretty cool. One of my coworkers raised a few thousand dollars and had his head shaved. We had a few beers and watched the festivities. Due to upcoming wedding photos, I will be waiting till next year to go through with shaving my head.

Beano - Watch for a Priority Mail package that should be arriving any day now! It is about time. I know. Let me know what you think.

Here's my friend Anna (CACruisin') taken at 4:30 Wonder time today. That was a bahama mama in her glass. Little Stinker!
