:cool2: Morning everyone! Husband is going to watch the AMA Supercross today. So guess its just me and the girls again today.

gotta go get a birthday gift for Ryans friend. And try to get some of these unfinished projects done. The state of my house is started to make me crazy. This is not good. Makes me crazy.

Boy you guys were talkative last night. Sorry I mised it!

be careful or you'll get spanked.
now tell me what's going on in Hollyweird. If it's in US it MUST be true

Did I tell you what Colton came out with at the grocery store last week? Him and Peter were in line and he (who is not know for being the quiet kid) blurts out "I KNEW IT!!! Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant! Now I have proof, it says it there!". :lmao: I guess kids in school were saying she is, she isnt, shes getting married, etc.... So he found out the "truth". :rotfl:

So, just got back from BBall.....WE GOT OUR FIRST WIN!!!!!!:cheer2: 24-23, Cam got the game winner with under 45 seconds. Actually he got 1/3 of the points, but every basket certainly counted! It was great to see them win one(with only 2 more left:headache: ).

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO CAM!!!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. :goodvibes

I'm trying to follow the Virtual House Party. The chat screen is going y so fast I'm actually dizzy.

Hey ya'll...looks like you wore yourselves out last nite :chat: & slept in all day!:goodvibes

So, we're back from our snow tubing / skiing adventure. It was fun. Well, IMO the tubing is a waste of money ($20 / 2 hours & the lines are so bad you can only go about 3 times / hour). Hardly saw any of the other scouts the whole time! We ate a quick chili & cheese hotdog for an early lunch & made it back over to the ski area in time to get me into the 1:00 group lesson. It worked out well for me - it was a good refresher and the group wasn't so big this time (only 8). There was actually a guy in the class who reminded me of me LAST year! :bitelip: I only fell twice today I think and I made it down the basic beginner slope my last 2 times w/o falling! THAT is a new record for moi!!:rotfl: I think I am almost ready to move on to the NEXT beginner slope next time! The instructor kept telling saying to relax & I kept saying maybe AFTER I have a couple Captain Morgans!:rotfl2: I am surprised none of you bet on how SORE I would be this evening!:lmao: OMG. I don't remember being this sore last year. It makes me feel too old to try to do this! :rolleyes1 I have a hard time finding boots to fit me properly. This skiing thing is such a new thing for us (just since last yr) but DH is already telling me I should maybe buy my own boots 'cuz I have such problems. I have a narrow foot but they all seem to rub somewhere. I have no idea how much they cost but my feet / ankles are killin' me. I almost don't care what they cost I just want to be able to return them if they hurt!:) The first time we went at Wisp last year the boots were fine (even with my hot tub injured eggplant looking toe - another Captain mishap!:lmao: ) This place tho killed me both times we've gone. Different style boots I guess?:confused3 I don't know what the answer is.

Anyway, I'm hoping some Aleve and / or Motrin & a couple Captain's will help. Oh, and an early bedtime since we were up before 6:00! Catch ya later!

Sounds like you did good, Annie. :goodvibes Rest up now.
Ive been skiing twice and while I enjoy the actual act of skiing, I despise the cold. I could deal when I was younger, now I just cant.

I was thinking of going to the chat, but I get too frenzied when I do that stuff. I wish I could go in and lurk, but once you are in, they know you are there. Then I feel obliged to keep up and respond. :scared1:

Sounds like a good djob, Annie. I love skiing but the older I get the more afraid of falling I becoming so I ski easier. It's still a lot of fun. Last time, we went to Telluride in CO and it was 20 degrees. I thought maybe next time we'll try something, oh I don't know...WARMER. Glad you had fun.

Katie, yeah, I could onnly get in two comments and by the time I could hit enter the group had already gone on to two other subjects.

DANG!! I forgot about this!!

Annie - great job with the skiing. And yes, buy your own boots. I suggest renting "performance boots" next time out. They tend to be higher end boots and not "ski school" general masses type of boots. Keep trying boots until you find a pair you like and then buy them on the spot.:thumbsup2

We keep talking about going skiing this year. We will see.

Cam - congrats on the win!

RJ - lovely picture.

Bets - um...did you get lost at the lettuce store? Cuz I am certainly hoping that is not an all day thing for you.

:lmao: How do you think I feel? I am 46 and am JUST NOW TRYING TO LEARN!! I think when I'm 50 I can get a seniors discount! :rotfl2: I don't know WHAT I did to my back yesterday but it hurts to breathe this morning!:scared1: I definitely wasn't THIS sore last year.

But DS loves it so much I am determined to advance to something else besides the bunny slope so we can all go together one day!! He is not athletic AT ALL and does no other sports besides the swimming so we are tickled to death that he took to it so well. We are a long way off from trying to plan a "real" ski trip to a place like Telluride - but I think that would be fun for a few days. It would be a waste of money for us right now - maybe in a few years. :confused3 It was about 28 here yesterday where we went - I was actually hot tho for awhile. I don't want to be cold & wet either so we bought some decent stuff last year (UnderArmor Cold Gear). I found these ski gloves at Costco of all places for like $10 that have a pouch place on the top where you can insert one of those hot hand things - keeps the whole glove warm!:thumbsup2 I remember the OLD snowboots we had when we were kids that were just a big 'ole piece of crap & my Mom used to put old bread bags on our feet over our socks with rubber bands to try to keep us dry. We would come inside & our feet would be practically frost bitten! :rotfl: I am so glad things have improved over THAT!

Annie: why can't you just make regular lasagne recipe and just leave out meat? And no boil noodles rock! And if picky neighbor doesn't eat it, at least you are feeding her family. Like the doctors always say with kids: if they are hungry, they'll eat. Why are you feeding them again?

Cheri - working on my grocery list this morning...I was afraid if I only used sauce and no meat it would seem like it was missing something and that it wouldn't have enough substance or something. I don't know - I just thought it would be missing something. Do you do it like this (just leave out the meat)? The recipe that I got from the girl at work is more of a real veggie type with spinich, carrots & onion cooked & added to the cheese mixture... Oh, and am cooking for picky neighbors bcuz she just spent 2 weeks in Johns Hopkins with her Crohns Disease so another neighbor organized a meal plan where we all take a turn cooking dinners for them 'cuz she is all wigged out on a ton of meds...

If it helps any, I dont like meat in my lasagna. Well, I do like meat, but I prefer it without meat...just pasta, cheese and sauce. But Im a purist like that and I don't like mixing my food. ;)

Annie - if I make a lasagne for just me I would add all sorts of veggies (but not mushrooms unless you cook them first and squeeze them or it will make everything all watery) but a good old-fashioned cheese lasagne with little spice would work just fine - provided that cheese is something well tolerated by a Crohn's patient. You could also just do a baked ziti. That's soooo easy. You don't even cook the noodles first.

We watched The Game Plan last night. Super cute.

Lately, she doesn't eat a lot of ANYTHING 'cuz it makes her sick (one reason I think they put her in the hosp. - she's about 90 Lbs 'cuz she's not eating) and of course she shouldn't eat a lot of cheese - but she DOES. :confused3 I think she also has some other "issues" going on. For starters, she's a vegetarian who doesn't eat vegetables! Well. Steamed broccoli is about it. If you go out to eat with them she will without fail order cheese nachos to eat. She orders cheese pizza for delivery 2 or 3 times a week. I keep asking her if they've talked to her about changing her diet & she keeps saying "not really" which I find hard to believe. She also is a work-out freak. I mean she was joking that she couldn't find the gym up at Johns Hopkins while she was there. No matter how bad she feels, she works out. It's bizarre. Every morning she goes to the gym for 2 hours. Then she will come home & spend the rest of the day in bed sick. She is consumed with working out and she just won't eat the right things (when she eats). That's why it struck me funny that she asked me to make the lasagne meatless - I know she won't eat it just as sure as I'm sitting here babbling away!:)

Annie, your neighbor has a bigger problem than just being a picky vegetarian. This is my personal opinion: a person who streses over not finding the gym while they are in the hospital has a problem.

Obviously, I'm not a doctor (nor do I play one on tv) but she could be an exercise-induced anorexic or getting there. She certainly has food issues. Not all anorexics stop eating.

Brrrr...I am cold!!
It is 66 outside and windy!! Did you know I was born in S Florida?? Did you know I have very, very, very thin blood??

It is pretty sad when, to stay warm while I get dinner ready with the oven door open! Suppose to be in the 40's tonight....how long till the cruise???
