Hi ya'll!!! I'm baaaacccckkk!!!!

Mickey says "Hi everybody"! We really, really liked the Villas at Wilderness Lodge! It was much more our speed than Old Key West, which we were very unimpressed with! This was MUCH more what we expected from a DVC. Dinner at Whispering Canyon was a hoot! DS got "put in jail"! The food was OK - not as good as Boma but the atmosphere was fun so we enjoyed it. The parks were
busy! I had heard all the resorts were sold out and I believe it. It was probably almost as busy as when we went last August!
Another day down there would've been really nice...esp. 'cuz the weather was NOT following what the forecast said for the day - but TODAY looked like it was going to be perfect! Figures we were leaving first thing this morning! It was about 61 & muggy when we got there Fri. nite and the weather channel forecast for the day on Sat was for 78 - so we went out in shorts & Tshirts to the Animal Kingdom & nearly froze to death! The fog never burned off before we left so it stayed cold (about 60) & drizzly... BUT we rode EE 3 times, Dino once & Kali River Rapids (wearing ponchos since there was no way we'd dry off w/o them) before lunch! We tried the Yak & Yeti counter service place for lunch. Not very good. Limited menu, very bland and expensive for a CS lunch ($10.99 for Kung Pao Beef)! I was bummed - I expected more. The sit-down place was about $20+ and we didn't have ressies - but I'm not into spending that much for lunch anyway! So I can say we tried it but I won't be trying it again.
After lunch we we went back to the lodge & put on warmer clothing & headed out to MK. ON THE WAY over (at like 2:00) the sun finally came out!!

So we ended up renting a locker at MK to stash our ponchos, xtra layers & coats!! Around 5:00 or so it started looking like rain (there was a 70% chance) so DH went & got the backpack while we got in line for Jungle Cruise. A little after 6:00 it started to thunder & lightening so we decided to stop to eat & then head to Tomorrow Land - DS & I went in a restaurant to order some dinner while DH went to get fast passes for Space Mountain. It cut loose one heck of a storm on DH while he was out there - he got back soaking wet clear thru WITH the poncho on AND there were no fast passes left! It was getting cold & windy & it never stopped raining so we called it an early nite & went home.
Sun. it was MAYBE 55 or 56 in the sun and very windy all day. We wore 2 layers & our jackets w/o the linings but we were cold all day. If we'd left the linings in we'd have probably been TOO HOT. So it was a tough call on what to wear. We did Hollywood Studios until about 2:30 then went to Epcot. By this time the only ride with fast passes left was Mission Space. The wait for Soarin' was 120 minutes! So we fast passed MS and waited in line 60 min. for TT. We did Spaceship Earth & by then we were so-o-o cold....it went down to like 40 degrees as soon as the sun went down. Since we had dinner ressies at 8:00 we just left after that...
Mon. we did the early open for AK and rode EE twice then left & went back to Epcot to do Soarin' since we missed it Sun & TT once more...so we fast passed TT & waited an hour for Soarin'. Then we went to Morocco & had lunch & looked for some Hidden Mickey's before we went back to TT. Got in line for TT and BAM! It broke down! After about 20 min. they said it was indefinite for how long & made everybody leave! So we gave our fp to another family & went back to the lodge to go to the pool. Well. Actually, I stayed in the hot tub for about 45 min.

Then we showered & went to MK for the Pirate & Princess party! So we were at MK from about 5:30 until 11:45. We rode Space Mountain 3 times, Big Thunder twice etc. So-o nice to have to deal with the crowds for our last nite!!
Paying extra is a way cool way to getting thru everything w/o a line.
Can't wait to go again!! I NEED MORE POINTS!! Hummmmmmmm.....TRM - I hear ya on the mud bath thing sounding a bit kinky BUT a kinky mud bath thing on the Wonder might just be the negotiating tool I need to talk DH into those extra points!
Katie - just BTW, out of curiosity I priced the Kahlua at VWL - it was a small bottle - like coke bottle size so I guess 16 or 20 oz and it was $20. But they had some there so I would assume AKL would have it too...
Cheri - those tickets looked really cool...
TRM - can't wait to see your fish extender project! It is sounding very detailed!
RJ - very cute pic of the dog & cat...
Betsy - are you feelin' better?
Any word on SE & Steve?
OK, I asked DH to take DS to swimming so I could work on laundry...so I'd better scoot for awhile......
