Ok, that was supposed to be a link, not sure why its not looking like one. :confused3

Nor'easter....

Um, doesn't sound like any fun to me Katie! :cold:

Only a blizzard is more fun!

I just saw the news and it looks like thats coming in Sat night-Sunday early afternoon. I had a horrible thought....what if we lose power??? What do I do with these kdis if they cant watch the game? :scared1:

Remember that Nor-easter / blizzard from like 2006 that whipped up out of nowhere on like a Thursday?! OMG! They didn't even predict it until like that day! It snowed for like 24 hours or something and we literally couldn't open our front door 'cuz it had a screen door that opened out - so we had to put the garage door up to go outside - the snow measured at 48" right in front of the door!!! It seriously took us ALL DAY to shovel the driveway! We were in a garage townhouse at the time so DH's car was in the driveway somewhere - but the worst was that we had nowhere to PUT all of that snow! Our yard was the size of a postage stamp and I couldn't reach the top of the pile! :rotfl: It was NOT a good time!

Anyway, our forecast for this weekend is also not looking too promising. Right now they're just saying a "major winter storm" and estimating mid-day on Sat. for it to start (thru Sun.)! They haven't said much more than that. Not cool tho for shopping! CamColt - you'd better stock up on the PB&J and have these kids bring their sleeping bags, sleds & boots over!!:goodvibes

Yikes! Thats insane!

Nope, no PB&J in our house. Cam is allergic to peanuts. ;)

LOL! That will work. At least 3 of the kids live in walking distance so they are going home for sure. :lmao:

Are any of our East Coast PEEPS having to deal with the ice storms??? The storms made the front page of our paper, they look really bad!

Hope everyone is safe....:grouphug:

Have a nice day all :goodvibes

Ronniejo we are expecting this nor-easter thursday and then another one on sunday

Be safe all of you!

Me no likey the cold or snow. But like RJ said it's the 30's in the mornings here and that is danged cold for us wimps out west.

Bosses wife just called cell phone.:scared: I bravely did not answer it.:rotfl: Wonder what she wants?:confused3 Guess I am gonna have to call her back. Maybe they finally figued out I really don't wanna come to work no mo.:rotfl:

Whew thought I was really gonna have to move to the WB repo cruise as someone posted a cat. 10 showed up online for $5500!! Alas, false alarm. I wish those who post such things would get their info straight. Sheesh I was trying to figure out how to explain to Neil that while he was in New Orleans I had a moment of insanity and booked that cruise. I was working on a really good story to tell him...what a waste of creativity.:sad2:

OK gotta run and pick Ryan up from school. Today we register webkinz?? And finish decorating the tree:thumbsup2 And she can start her thank you notes from her party! She's gonna love that.

Printed return address labels for Christmas cards! Put Christmas cards in envelopes! Next I gotta print the actual address labels! Then stamps! I might just get those in the mail before Easter this year!:cool1: And passports. Working on requesting those for the girls.

I thought you quit your job to be a SAHM?!:confused3

What's a webkinz?

Passports. I saw where they're running a more normal 2-3 weeks now. I hope so anyway! DS needs a new one too 'cuz the one he has now expires Dec. 31, 2008 which makes it only valid for 5 months after our travel dates and they require 6 months. Arrrggghhh. Meanwhile, I want to wait until he turns 11 in May since the kids ones are only good for 5 years - but I think the rules change once they're 16 - it's not QUITE as much of a pain to get them - maybe you don't have to have both parents appear in person or something or maybe you can do a real renewal or something. I don't know - there's something that improves. But so if we wait for him to be 11 when we apply then he will be 16 the NEXT time he needs one and I like that idea. I think DCL wants our passport numbers several weeks ahead of time tho. So we will have to go apply as soon as he has his birthday.

I just renewed C's and T's in March (during the crunch :headache: ) and asked a bunch of those questions. "Kids" passports are five years and must be renewed as such until they are a full 18 and both parents must appear every time UNLESS you fill out the handy-dandy form and have it notarized. (That's what we did) - That's what the passport lady told me (but it could be like calling DCL: you get different answers depending on who you ask:confused3 )

and webkinz are the "in" thing with girls right now. They're stuffed animals that come with a code attached and you input it into the Webkinz web site to play games. Is it kinda like that penguin web site, TRM? Anyway, Cas calls her friends and their webkinz play games. Do I have it right?

Yep, you got it right Cheri. Webkinz were the big thing here last spring and summer(and not just with girls). When we checked in at the Contemporary and the kids saw a computer I thought they would have a heart attack...they could go on Webkinz after a few away. That and Club Penguin were all they wanted to do...IN WDW!!!! :headache: Luckily we are getting over that phase.

We all got our passports when we did the West Coast cruise in 05 so we will be set for the 08 cruises. :goodvibes

Our 3-6 inches tomorrow has now turned into 6-10. Oh this is going to be along winter. :headache:

we all need to get passports..I just renewed mine in 2005 but now need it in my married name..DH and Kate need one..if Nick goes, he has his...

just back from Kate's concert..will post pics tomorrow after I shower and die!

OK, so because I am ANAL ANNIE, I had to go dig out the crazy passport application for minors that I picked up at the P.O. the other day when I was getting my stamps! Picking out relative information, IT SAYS:

If your most recent passport was issued less than 15 years ago and you were over 16 yrs old at the time of issuance you may be eligible to use the mail-in application.

To submit an application for a child under the age of 14 both parents or the child's legal guardian(s) must appear and present (3) forms of ID.

Every minor child must appear in person.

FEES -
Age 16 or older the total will be $97 and it will be valid for 10 years from the date of issuance except where limited by the Secretary of State to a shorter period.

Under age 16 the fee is $82 and the passport will be good for 5 years.

I knew there was SOMETHING about turning 16 - that one will be good for 10 years and then he will be able to just do renewals!!

Oh NO! :scared1: I'm sorry - at least you're not trying to fly tomorrow tho!

You have a point! I guess I cant complain. ;) As long as Feb 19th doesnt snow now, I guess I shouldnt care about the rest of the winter. Thats looking on the bright side. :goodvibes

:wizard: No snow for CamColt on Feb 19th!

It is so declared.

I wish that worked.:rotfl:

Annie - I am a SAHM - I went to work the summer before Linden was born to help a friend of a friend whose husband is a chiropractor. I used to manage medical offices in my previous life - so they had fired their staff and were WWAAAAYYYY behind on their A/R. I said I would "come take a look and help them out":rotfl2: Boy that was a mistake. It's been like banging my head against the wall ever since. I have tried to help but they just don't want to make the changes they need to make to, in my professional oh so humble opinion, be right. I am just now only reviewing all old Workers Compensation files. So I go in pretty much when I want to. Even though I am kinda sorta supposed to be on a schedule. Yep, kinda have an attitude about it but its hard - kinda caught between that professional/friend kinda rock. But did talk to the wife and told her I thought it could all be wrapped up hopefully by the end of January. Maybe they can fly on their own.:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

So am having a friend watch Linden at the house so I don't have to take her into the office - where I get nothing done when she is there - Will be working a few hours Tuesday and Thursday and hopefully will get to review all charts and make appropriate notes in case any of the cases go to court and then I will be done. It's a win win I think. Friend is going through a divorce and needs the money. I need to get those files done so I can be done there.

Ok - make sense?

Survived the Winter Program at school. Gotta switch the laundry. Put ladder back in garage. Pick up downstairs. And go to bed.:woohoo:

Neil should be home tomorrow night if flights are not delayed due to weather. Also have Brownies meeting tomorrow and I am snack mom!:scared:The fun never ends.

Oh and today I FINISHED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!:woohoo:

Mornin' Peeps!

Ok, so what does everyone have left to do on their lists? Is everyone done?

I don't know about everyone else's kids, but around here it's S-T-U-D-Y time! FINALS are here! Anyone else........?

Hope all our East Coast Peeps will be alright with the storms that are due to hit them....be safe friends! :grouphug:
