Our neighbor is trying to plan another weekend getaway! We all got this mailer today for the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt with a special winter code / rate...So it's only $169 / n + there's a $50 room credit (which will ALMOST cover the room tax)! LOL - At least she keeps our social calendar planned with events on it! She said they have this "dive in movie" at the indoor pool for the kids...cool 'eh. My head hurts tho!

She's trying to round up our usual gang & wants to go the weekend before Thanksgiving. I'm torn 1) 'cuz it will easily end up being a $500 weekend. 2) We usually host Thanksgiving Dinner for Daryl's Mom, Step Brother & Grandma + sometimes his brother gets to come in (he's a Major in the Army, currently stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, KS) and sometimes my parents come to stay for the weekend... I mean it's not the biggest dinner party ever, but it's big for
me to cook for any number besides 3!! And there's the whole houseguest thing... We put the extra leaf in the table, I get out a nice tablecloth, dig out the china....blah, blah. But so I usually have a LOT to do on that weekend before...house cleaning, BIG grocery shopping ETC. She on the other hand is a SAHM, doesn't cook AT ALL, will be spending Thanksgiving at someone elses house (her husband will likely make a dip to take 'cuz when I say she doesn't cook, I mean she doesn't cook PERIOD - I usually take leftovers to him - he loves to get home cooked food) and to top it off she has a cleaning service to clean her house - so absolutely NONE of this is a factor to her!
(OH, and money is no object to them!) Am I jealous? Naaaaaa! I love her to death, really! And I would love to go to this place sometime - it's supposed to be really, really nice - I just don't want to go THAT weekend! But so far, it's sounding like a lot of the "gang" is "in".
So DH is like "maybe we should". Arrgghhh. Am I the only one in the world to feel overwhelmed about a weekend that's 2 months away? I think I would spend my whole weekend thinking about what I SHOULD be doing....

Thank Goodness for Indian Summer!! I was very unhappy the other day with having to drag out the old slippers & jeans!!
They already have several "events" planned that we need to decide about attending. One thing is a "camporee" the 2nd weekend in Oct. up in Harpers Ferry, WV. I will be gone that weekend so I have to rely on DH to be a grownup 
(That is "Mommy's weekend at the beach" where about 6 of us from my neighborhood go down to my next door neighbors beach house for the weekend! Last year it was pretty nice weather - we took a 2 gal. cooler of Sangria down to the beach & plopped there with our jeans rolled up / feet in the sand until we thought driving might become a problem!
It's September for crying out loud! And now it's supposed to rain
