Oh Great Moderator CamColt,
Have you the ability to change DIS names? It's a bummer to have to start all over with "0" posts and be "earning my ears". Just think of how many mindless posts we make to get where we are :rotfl: (of course, I'm just kidding :rolleyes1 ) BTW - just about as soon as I chose my name the kid quite soccer, so if'n ya' can ...

LOL! I changed my own way back when, before I was a mod, and back then you could change it without losing your posts. Let me ask around and Ill let you know.

had to wash in the river (brrrrrr). Are class III and IV rapids the ones that you tip over in? :scared1:

 Yes Brrrrrrr and Yes - tipping over is a good possibility on the higher classes!:rotfl: I think that's why they require everyone wear a helmet. On ours the other day they only made the kids 12 & under wear them...

DVC question - any of you guys ever stay in a studio unit at OKW before?! Just wondered if the kitchenette comes with some plates, utensils & cups? We're only really planning to do breakfast in the unit but just wondered what was provided...might fax in a short grocery list for some staples like milk, cream cheese & bagels... 14 days 42 minutes and counting....:woohoo:

Good nite John Boy.........

Sure is quiet out there today...

Everyone must be out having fun.

I was playing online with Ryan. Baby is napping. Finalizing baby announcement order. Sent photos to costco online for processing.:thumbsup2 Now it is laundry folding time. Or maybe go stuff my face time. And tylenol. I have a headache.:headache:

Anyone else having more fun than that!?:confused3 :rotfl:

Annie: I know when we stayed at Boardwalk Villas in a studio, we had plates, utensils, coffe maker with coffe supplied for it whuch was gross, but you should be fine at OKW, if you want to be certain call member services...

I am off work and in official "wedding planning mode"

I need cake...bring me cake!!

LOL! Try working with kids whinning and nagging and fighting constantly...and this isn't just mine, its all the boys in the neighborhood. I wont even get into the fact that we are the only ones in the neighborhood with a pool. I wish I had an office to go to. ;) :rotfl:

Woohoo, Bets! I think you need to send us each a piece of virtual wedding cake! :thumbsup2

Oh and I asked about changing names. Unfortunatley because it is tough for them to do, and it affects the database (or some technical thingy) it can only be done in a serious situation, such as protecting someones identity.

Sorry ladies. :(

what if my multiple personalities want their identities known? Something like "Soccermom-Cheri/Phyllis/Amanda/Trixie/Buelah/George" ?? :lmao:

What kinda work do you do Annie?

Just your basic office job. :rolleyes1 I work for a Steelcase office furniture dealer (among other vendors too, but primarily Steelcase). It is kind of a neat place - it's a "working showroom" so we have customers coming thru on tours & such so we have to "keep a clean house" in our cubicles since we supposedly have an "effective workplace environment". They also do office moves & relocations - so they can plan every box needed for a big relocation and they have a big warehouse where they can store trailers full of furniture. We have several clients that keep an inventory in storage with us - like Booz Allen Hamilton. We have a lot of Govt. contracts in this area like the FBI, US Customs, NIST... OK, so what do I do - we have a Design dept. and I am the "Design / Reconfig Administrator". Basically, I (try) to track the designers time (they sorta live in their own world) and I try to make sure it gets billed out on the orders and I put delivery tickets on the system for reconfigurations so the warehouse scheduler guy knows when & where to go with how many trucks & guys etc. Busy, but nothing too exciting! I've just been there a little over a year. Best thing is that it's only about 8 1/2 miles from home & I love the commute! So much better than trying to drive into Rockville or Bethesda like I used to do!

Thanks - I called the front desk twice & got different answers both times! I plan on taking a box of donuts & some of those Maxwell House coffee singles with us. The only place you get decent coffee supplied in your hotel room is in Hawaii where they give you Kona coffee!:goodvibes

All studios come with paper plates, paper bowls, plastic utensils, and glasses. I recommend buying plastic cups at the store at the resort. It is easier than using the glass ones and washing them over and over again. You can buy milk, cream cheese and bagels at the store at the resort. It is not worth paying for grocery delivery for just that stuff. Let me know if you have any other questions. I have pretty much stayed in every type of room at every DVC resort including HH and VB.

The store at OKW is pretty well stocked. They have cereal, bagels, Entenmans coffee cake, pop tarts, cream cheese, fruit, milk, oj, chocolate milk, mac & cheese, spaghetti stuff, etc.

I am sure they can accomodate you with whatever you might want.

Thanks Tarzanman - I was starting to feel like I was going camping again!:lmao: Packing for this trip is a challenge for me since the new security rules started after our vac. last yr. (and 'cuz you KNOW I have to bring a little bit of everything with me)! They call me 7-11 at work 'cuz I usually have some of everything. These new rules mean I'll have to empty out stuff from my purse (yes, I'm one of those women with a totebag size purse that weighs 20 lbs.)! I'll have to be extra careful about how I pack our carry-on...trust me - this will be a challenge for me! 3 oz. or less in a quart size ziplock. :sad2: And NO! I can't just pack all of this stuff in our checked luggage! We need our sunscreens handy (going early am & won't have access to our room or luggage). I'm too anal for these security rules!
