DW took the kids to her parents' place this weekend (about a 3 hr drive). DW and the kids are off work/school on Monday and we haven't seen her parents for a while. I have to work Monday, so I stayed home while they go have a long weekend at grandmother's house. I will miss them, but I'm not complaining. :lmao:

So I am bach'ing it this weekend. Picked up some IBC Root Beers, Chips, Dip, etc for watching my Rangers take on the Tigers this weekend. I will be up in the 'man cave' watching it on the super big screen and will have my companion coverage (quad view) running on my iPad. May order pizza or wings (or both.) And I can finally watch my Inception Blu-Ray in the man cave... finally!

Is it even humanly possible to stay on any type of diet when you get a bachelor weekend to yourself?! :rotfl:

Go RANGERS!

ALCS OPENER OWNAGE!

To catch up:

Best Doughnuts- Southern Maid
Best coffee- Community Coffee
Best Sode- CocaCola (in the South all soda is Coke...as in. if you ask for a Coke, they'll probably ask what kind...LOL)
Best Meat- Bacon!

Guys at WDW hope you're having a blast.

Glad the heart cath turned out ok...glad they checked for collateral circulation before using your radial artery (I had the same thought Chris...prev bad experience with brachial Aline)

Praying for you guys that are dealing with loss of a loved one.

Just got back from 2nd grade football game. Settling in for dinner and to watch Rio.

Thanks, all!

All the best on your new position!

Not sure if I missed it, what place do you guys settle on?

When the wife went back to Pohang a couple days later, she found a decent, two-bedroom place in the downtown area that she really liked. We'll be going to that one. If I remember, I'll try to post some pics when we move next week, once we get internet again.

Ugly, ugly day in S. Florida. Heavy rains here and tornado warnings south of us. I never have standing water in my lawn but today the swale is flooded. No big deal, at least football was on. Except. Today was not a good day for Florida teams. FSU and Miami lose and my beloved Gators get creamed by LSU. Not a good showing in successive weeks but we did play the #2 and then #1 team in the country. Hopefully our 1st or at least 2nd string quarterback will return soon. Things could be worse though.

Hi all..popping in from the in-laws, we came to town for Thanksgiving Weekend. Hope all is well with everyone.

A little ray of hope today, during the drive, DW suggested a possible trip for next October, Amelia's school progress pending, and of course, if the budget will allow. She really doesn't want to face the August heat again, and we love the Food and Wine Festival/Halloween theme too much to resist. I may not have to wait two years after all!:woohoo:

Good Saturday Morning. Just checking in before heading off to work. I wish I could join the debate over who serves a better cup of coffee, but I've never had a cup of coffee in my life.

That said, if you ever want to debate Coke vs. Pepsi, or other soft drinks. Name the time and place, and i'll show up. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Very glad to hear some good news! :cool1:

well, time to go catch my train. Earl Of Sandwich is on today for lunch!! :thumbsup2

Can't stand coffee either, never have, the only time I'll take the taste is with Kahlua in milk:lmao:
Coke is it! And also, does the Earl have the holiday special out yet?

Let's see if this works. This is the view from my balcony.

Nice, Norm! You and Mark meeting up down there?

I love BLT, too!

Checking in from the campfire tonight. Kids in their tents already... A beautiful fall night in New England. More than 40 people including 5 of our 11 Tigers. There's a lot of scout updates since Friday, but for now just enjoying the night. Have a good one, guys!

CRUD Back from a meeting and just time for a quick glance. Prayers for all those going through a tough time right now.

Cool bacon effect.

Been raining last 2 hours non stop. Since the room is not ready, we looked around CR and checked out BLT, rode the Monorail resort loop and off at TTC the 2nd time. Then, monorail to Epcot. That is so cool - flying over Epcot in the monorail. Now, on the bus to OKW to bus to DTD for some spending. Time to earn some more Disney rewards dollars with Visa. It is supposed to rain for next 48 hours, according to bus driver.

Norm, Wow you made alot of use of WDW Transportation, so I got to ask did you try to get any Transportation Cards:confused3

Back from the 1st Gift Auction of the season, Didn't win the Disney prize, in fact didn't win anything this time around:headache:

You're staying with your in-laws until the end of November? You poor man...

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Hope Dave made it home safe:goodvibes, after the brutal drive home he is due for a good power sleep:woohoo:

OK, it's now as official as it can be until I'm actually booked. I've achieved WAF (Wife Approval Factor) for a solo trip back to WDW for Reunion 2011. The plane ticket is free - I have SWA credits I need to use before they expire, and it's value season. So it looks like I'm going for sure.

Last chance- anyone want to join me and split the cost of the room? I'm looking at December 7-11, probably staying at Pop.

If I can, but not sure how to contact him. Is he on FB?

Anyway, no more obligations. The friends we met up yesterday decided to go their own way. We met up at 1900 Park Fare and their youngest had a ball. The stepsisters put on a great show and they were all so happy, except for the dad, who didn't like the price of the meal. Really? It wasn't a suprise going into it. So, they are going to MK today and we are going to DHS. We asked them earlier in the year to coordinate with us so that we could help them with short-cuts, character pictures, etc and he declined and said they would figure it out later. So, we have CRT breakfast for Wed before park opens and are not going to cancel that. But, at least for one day, they got to have some fun together. He said he can't wait to go to the beach to escape all the rain. :sad2:

Norm, Wow you made alot of use of WDW Transportation, so I got to ask did you try to get any Transportation Cards:confused3

Sorry, I don't do the cards and didn't even think to ask for you. I'll see if I can get some today and hope they survive the rain.

Very nice! So you think this is the place to have the annual DisDads convention?

Can this be a man law? Really, maybe we could look at creating a non-profit status with the sole purpose of dues going to book the convention center. I don't think we can say that in the by-laws. But, then Barry will become president and make Jimmy Hoffa look like Cinderella.

I like the breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace much better and I hear Boma is the best. But, like you said, if you didn't have to pay then there's not too much room for complaints. :)

I like CP and Boma really well. But, I would not make a trip from BLT to AKL for Boma breakfast. Also I like CRT and Akershus as my favorite breakfast, and not just for the hot girls. Really, my favorite breakfast is Tonga Toast and Captain Cook's. That juice is really good over there. What is that called?
