Hello Guys. Things come and things go. People say things one day, then change their outlook another. Life can be so fickle at times can't it? I just wanted to share, and once gain ask for some pixie dust and prayer. I was "invited" on to a conference call yesterday afternoon, and the promises that were made just about 3 or maybe 4 weeks ago now have vanished. I was basically given two options. I could be done effective Monday and receive a severance package, OR, I could continue to work at a reduced salary for 30 days, and then be done and receive no severance package. Hmmm. I selected the severance package option. That'll provide income and health benefits for us through the end of the year whereas the other option, well...yeah.

So, I've now kicked my search into hyper drive. I went in this morning and cleared out my office so that I wouldn't have to deal with that next week. What a great way to start the weekend. But - I'm looking at it as positively as I can, and just pray it will work out decently in the end. It did make my DW feel a little  last night, but it's not like it was totally unexpected. I am now #7 this year. I just wonder how many more will get their notice before the year is finished. :confused3 Oh well, it isn't truly my concern any more. Nearly 11 years came screeching to a halt in one short half hour (and about 3 this morning as I brought everything home).

Sorry to hear. Sending out good thoughts and wishes for you and your family.

Sorry to hear that. Keep positive, things have a way of working out. My family's best trip to WDW happened when my dad was laid off on a Friday, came home and said "Who wants to go to Disney World?" We drove down that night (from Massachusetts) with no hotel reservations or anything.

Now THAT'S awesome!

Unfortunately my DW would freak out a bit too much if I did that - but that would be so totally cool! If we didn't need to get west for her dad, I would totally do that... but then, since we'll be out west, we will be heading to DL for a day, so it's kinda the same thing.

I don't know if any of you saw it last night, but my friend Adam, was on One Man Army. He didn't do too bad... came in second. He told me he was going to be embarassed by it, but I don't think he has much to be embarassed about. No way in beverly I could have lasted a half hour in that water coffin challenge. Being beat by a Navy SEAL isn't exactly something to hang your head about.

Also, today has been a good morning for me so far. I went to the AAA office and paid the balance on our Disney trip. After that I had to take my truck back in to get a door panel replaced. My 3 year warranty should have expired on 8/20 and shortly after, my passenger door lock actuator went out. I knew my warranty was up, but didn't want to risk breaking my door panel so I took it in to get fixed. Well, they went ahead and cracked the door panel for me sinc I didn't want to.:headache: They ordered a new one and I went in this morning to get it replaced. They got done and handed me the paperwork and it showed no charges at all... actuator and everything was a 0.

I'm not one to argue with them so I took it and left. After I got home I looked closer and they have the date that I took delivery of the truck listed as 8/7/09.:confused::confused: I guess I had been driving the truck for almost a year before I owned it.:confused3 Oh well, I guess that means I still have about 4000 miles and 11 months of warranty left.:lmao::rotfl2:

I'm VERY surprised they didn't have the courage to go with one of the backups and instead got Collins a week before the season started. That's what I'd be most concerned about. Sounds like pretty bad planning there.
Painter kind of had it rough. His first playing time came 2 years ago against the Jets. Colts were playoff bound and resting all the starters and the Jets were playing for their playoff life. He had a horrible game, but he was a rookie seeing his first playing time and was on the field with backups. They just haven't really seemed to want to give him much of a chance since. Reggie Wayne wants him to play though, so at least he does have the respect of starting wide receivers.:confused3

I don't get a lot of what's going on with the Colts anymore. I wish Caldwell would at least act like he isn't just a puppet for Irsay and Polian. Most importantly I wish Irsay would stay the beverly off of twitter. Next thing you know, he'll be tweeting pics of Peyton's MRIs.:lmao:

Geeze... that is brutal.:headache: Thankfully, you'll at least get something and have insurance covered for a few months. Praying you can find something soon!

I'm so sorry, Christopher. Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do to help (besides be here & pray, which we'll do already!)

This Monday and Tuesday are part of the Korean Thanksgiving. This is what my school got me for a gift.
