Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime vacation! Sheesh

When we do 6 day passes we generally do 2 days at MK and Epcot and 1 day at DHS and AK.

I would suggest (depending on your timing) if you arrive early enough (like 3:00 - 4:00) doing a park on arrival day, that could be MK for 1/2 a day. Upgrading your 6 day pass to a 7 day pass is only $8.00 per person.

Doing your suggestion of 1.2 day at DHS and 1 1/2 day at Epcot - would cost $55.00 per person to add Park Hopper, which you would only be using the one time.

I thought about doing a park on our arrival day - we get in MCO around noon - but I think since we will have been up since 5:30am or so that I want to be able to make it a resort day.

And the reason why we chose to do the Park hopper is because we are so close to MK. So if we have a park day at EPCOT and my girls get tired and we come back to BLT - if a couple of us still want to run out to MK we can do so. I envision myself running out solo a night or two to get some pictures. Or, because my SIL is coming along, my wife and I might be able to get some park time in by ourselves! :thumbsup2

Our last trip we did 7 day park hoppers since we were staying at the Poly. We found that with our young daughters we spent only about 1/2 a day in each of AK and DHS but always ended our days at MK. Having the hoppers really made it easy to bounce over to MK to get a quick princess fix when the girls needed it.

My thoughts exactly. I can totally see us at MK more than just the 3 park days I have planned. I too feel that AK and HS are going to be short visits.

Does anyone know where I can find a checklist of the attractions/shows for each park? I know disney's website has a listing....just looking for one in check list form so I can go through and check off the ones that we must do.

Try this, http://www.intercot.com/themeparks/default.asp.

One of the most annoying sounds in the world, is the sound of my cell phone ringing. :headache: :lmao::rotfl2:

Mine is the classic Pirates theme. I start singing it as I answer and 9 times out of 10 I end with "yo ho" when I answer. My wife has finally (after six months) gotten used to it and doesn't think I'm calling her a lady of the night. My mom? Well... :)

Thank you. Yes, they both know. We figured we'd be talking about it enough that they should know what's going on. Madison was very excited and wants the baby to sleep in her room. Evan said "OK" and asked if he could go ride his bike. :confused3
We go through stages where we want more kids. I want more 90% of the time and the 10% is when I'm recovering from the beat down I got from my wife after voicing my desire for more children. :) I just "rent them" at church when I hold other people's babies and hand them back when they're stinky. :lmao:

Apparently his wife was a member on the boards at some point: linky. Been idle for 5 years though. No idea who he is.
:thumbsup2

My "You Have a Text" tone is the classic "Wilhelm Scream". When my mother in law calls, it screams over and over and over again.

My DW was like that, wanted a baby real bad, until I pointed out to her that it wouldn't be to long until our 18 year old DD will be having babies that she could play with. She never even thought about that. One of those times you could see the light bulb go off. :rotfl2:

We have been thinking and praying about adding to our family. It would have to be through adoption. I can't imagine the thought of my daughters having children. Probably because I am sending them to the convent at 14 :lmao:

Hummm, twin Nuns! :rotfl:

Mornin' Guys...

So I'm attempting to do some planning for my trip next Spring....but noticing it's very difficult to do without knowing the park hours!!!

I'm also realizing that, with two young daughters, I'm finding myself leaning toward MK more days than anything. Just not quite sure if they'll be interested in HS being that they will be too short/young for most of the attractions there.

We have 6 day passes and I can already see 3 days at MK!

Has anyone else been MK heavy during their trips?

It's not just our kids, WDW is about the MK. We may go to AK every other year or more. DHS is a 1 day park. We do Epcot in a day (skipping countries we don't like), but that is more difficult. But, in 10 years, we just can't get MK done in 1 day. Since DVC, we go to park 1 day and enjoy the resort the next day. We will be doing MK and MNSSHP on different days.

I can only imagine what the people around you must think when you answer that way. :lmao:

than comes the menus from all the places we are going to eat at.

than is the year to year, trip to trip ride count wrap up sheet. i can tell how many times we were on what ride on which trip.
2737ced5.jpg

there is a work sheet for the ride counts. i pull this out and set in the room and each time we come back, i put an x on which rides we were on. end of the trip, i add up the xs for each ride and put it on the wrap sheet.:thumbsup2

so thats our trip book that we do to keep everything organized and what rides we need to hit and if there are any records to be broken.:lmao:

Opinions?

I currently have my 2012 trip for Aug 25 (the week before labour day).

Free Dining starts Aug 19.

DW wants to change our trip to Aug 19 - the day FD starts (a Sunday), this way we have a week to recoup before sending the little ones back to school.

I think it may be busier the week of 8/19 simply because it is first week of FD.

What do you guys think?

And is anyone here going either of those weeks?

Very cool... I just remember the days I went where, and even that becomes hazy....

I don't think there's any reason to think that the first week of FD will be any busier than any other week of FD, except that the deeper you go into August, the more schools are underway and the fewer families are still taking summer vacations.

My daughter's school started Aug. 17 this year, so either of those dates would be after school starting for us.
