Long day yesterday, hoping that today's a little more relaxed...

"ESTROGEN ISSUES"
10 WAYS TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE "ESTROGEN ISSUES"

1. Everyone around you has an attitude problem.
2. You're adding chocolate chips to your cheese omelet
3. The dryer has shrunk every last pair of your jeans.
4. Your husband is suddenly agreeing to everything you say.
5. You're using your cellular phone to dial up every bumper sticker that says: "How's my driving? Call 0800 -"
6. Everyone's head looks like an invitation to batting practice.
7. Everyone seems to have just landed here from "outer space."
8. You can't believe they don't make a tampon bigger than Super Plus.
9. You're sure that everyone is scheming to drive you crazy.
10. The ibuprofen bottle is empty and you bought it yesterday.

More annoying than the one from Dumb & Dumber? :confused3
Yes. Yes it is...

I read that as "the bull tank" and thought, boy, your cereal was protein heavy.
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

....I grew up on whole milk... I've worked my way down to skim. Whole milk is like drinking whipping cream now.

I've managed to get down to 2%, but still prefer whole milk.
DS actually likes 1%.
DD would prefer 1/2-1/2 but will drink soy milk rather than reduced fat milk.

First day of school for the kids. 6 kids with my boy in 3rd/4th grade and 4 in 2nd with DD. Going to be an interesting year. Might be time to go back to homeschooling.

You have a school with only 10 kids in three grades? Wow that is worse than our schools. We have 70 kids in 4 grades (only 9 in First grade) in one school. Big district fights over which school to close. They have been trying to close that school for 20 years now. :sad2:

Has anyone else been MK heavy during their trips?

Sure, with young kids I think it makes a lot of sense. HS doesn't have as much for the young 'uns. Like wasnotafan, HS and AK are typically 1-day parks for us.

Evan said "OK" and asked if he could go ride his bike. :confused3

He probably still won't notice until the baby is old enough to start stealing his toys.

I grew up on whole milk. Like if you were pouring your morning cereal and realized you were out of milk, you took the pitcher out to the barn and filled it up straight from the bulk tank. I've worked my way down to skim. Whole milk is like drinking whipping cream now.

Mmm...whipping cream...

So... this weekend we are SUPPOSED to be heading to Myrtle Beach. But guess who is also looking like she's going to be making an appearance this weekend? Hurricane Irene!! AND... That beverly is is looking at Virginia Beach, too.:mad: We've been looking forward to this trip for quite a while now... but not only would we have to cancel the trip to SC, but would also need to prepare the home for the hurricane. Yes... know that we are still many days away... but still had to vent to the dads that understand the frustration. Hopefully Ron doesn't get his vacation ruined by this hurricane!

Well...at least it'll make a great story, right? :confused3

I read that as "the bull tank" and thought, boy, your cereal was protein heavy.

Well Beverly!!!! I have to sit around and wait for the Heating and Air guy to call me and tell me when he can come by. I am having the same problem Scott had last week! Grrrrr!!!

Morning guys.

Love the Monday Morning jokes... especially the one about the Colt's owner. :rotfl2:

Mary is doing better now and is getting used to her cast. Yesterday was tough though as we went to a friend's BBQ where they had a pool, trampoline & bounce house (all banned items for kids with casts). She ended up having a good time, but was bummed out for a bit while her friends were swimming / bouncing.

OMG!....I was in in the public restroom - I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice in the other stall: "Hi, how are you?"........Me: embarrassed, "Doin' fine!" Stall: "So what are you up to?".......Me: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just sitting here." Stall: "Can I come over?" ......... Me: (attitude) "No, I'm a little busy right now!!" Stall: "Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions! ~~ :lmao:

My response would have been: "Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who thinks I am talking to him!"

Mornin' Guys...

So I'm attempting to do some planning for my trip next Spring....but noticing it's very difficult to do without knowing the park hours!!!

I'm also realizing that, with two young daughters, I'm finding myself leaning toward MK more days than anything. Just not quite sure if they'll be interested in HS being that they will be too short/young for most of the attractions there.

We have 6 day passes and I can already see 3 days at MK!

Has anyone else been MK heavy during their trips?

Always. The formula for our trips usually go something like: 0.5 parts AK, 1 part Epcot, 2 parts DHS, 3 parts MK.

Seconded!

Yep, we are having the same problem with our upstairs a/c unit. Replacing the filter today before even thinking about calling someone.

As of right now - I'm leaning toward Half day at AK, 1 day at HS, 1.5 days at EPCOT and 3 days at MK.

There are some real advantages to multiple MK days, especially if you're going during one of the busier stretches in the Spring. You can relax and take your time a bit more, not worry about rushing around from attraction to attraction. Spread out the time-eaters that younger kids seem to enjoy, like some of the meet-and-greet lines and the hub-and-spoke rides like Dumbo, Astro-Orbiters, and Aladdin's Carpets. We still end up in the Magic Kingdom more than we are in any other park, even with the thrill-ride-loving 8-year-old. We are spending much more time in Hollywood Studios this trip (two days, instead of a half day), but we're still doing two full days in the Magic Kingdom, plus Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

That's the way we're leaning. And really, staying at BLT, I'm sure we'll appreciate being super close to MK to just go over when we feel like going over! I'm so excited!

OH no Steve! Just got mine taken care of Saturday. Thankfully mine was just low on refrigerant. Works great now!

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

I changed the filter the first of every month...still waiting on them to call me back and tell me when they will be here. Out of three businesses I called this was the only one that either answered the phone or had an opening today. Great way to spend the day off ....I need to mow grass but wont hear the phone if I do...looks like a jungle here!!

I hope it is something simple like that here too! You know if it going to be a bad day when it is cooler outside than inside and it is August!!:rotfl2:

When we do 6 day passes we generally do 2 days at MK and Epcot and 1 day at DHS and AK.

I would suggest (depending on your timing) if you arrive early enough (like 3:00 - 4:00) doing a park on arrival day, that could be MK for 1/2 a day. Upgrading your 6 day pass to a 7 day pass is only $8.00 per person.

Doing your suggestion of 1.2 day at DHS and 1 1/2 day at Epcot - would cost $55.00 per person to add Park Hopper, which you would only be using the one time.

It is buffet, paper thin carvings. We first went there when they had Cinderella, Charming, Fairy Godmother, and the mice. The stepsisters put on a better show, but I think the food has declined.
:thumbsup2 they had the queen of hearts, some king lion who i had no idea when we were there last. im trying to remember, briana im guessing was about 8, maybe 10 and shes almost 19 now. the prime rib was only about 3/4 inch thick but it was good.:thumbsup2

I like the idea of a morning joke, even if they're old. Here is something I haven't heard before.

No feminist comments please ... those who know me do know that I respect women wink

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?
A: No, 35 children is enough.

Q: I'm two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?
A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A: Childbirth.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she's borderline irrational.
A: So what's your question?

Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?!
A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?
A: Right after you find out you're pregnant.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labour?
A: Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?
A: Yes, pregnancy.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?
A: Not if you change the baby's diaper very quickly.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A: When the kids are in college.

we always tend to lean towards the mk. i plan our days into half days. this is how this trip is working out for us:
10 -/2 days at mk , 1-1/2 day at studios , and 7- 1/2 days at epcot. we eat alot of meals at epcot so we tend to lean that way anymore. when briana was small, we spent alot of time in the mk. pics and autographs take time.

Morning all! Finally getting caught up on the thread. Spent the weekend with friends at a cottage in Jarvisburg, NC... what a relaxing weekend! No internet there so I was forced to spend some time net-free!

Congrats, Barry! :cool1: Better get a surplus of sleep now, right? :lmao: My DD and I were talking this weekend about how lucky we were to have such a wonderful DD. We are quite certain that if we had another child it would be the worst child EVER! :rotfl2:

So... this weekend we are SUPPOSED to be heading to Myrtle Beach. But guess who is also looking like she's going to be making an appearance this weekend? Hurricane Irene!! AND... Has anyone else been MK heavy during their trips?

DHS for my kids (4 and 6 this year) was TSMM and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show... and shopping. So, that took us most of the morning only because by the time I got TSMM FastPasses, the return time was up to 11am. Otherwise it's more of an adults-only park for us.

We did 8 park days this past family trip, and ended up being at MK 3 times. We did AK two days, though. We like it that much.

We do it the same way, 2 days at MK and Epcot and 1 day at DHS and AK. If MK is open longer than the park we're in we go there after we close that park or we're done with a park early, we go to MK.
