Morning all... So I'll be sitting in a dentist's chair for an hour or so today getting a broken tooth fixed, any suggestions for Disney related podcasts I should download to pass the time? Any suggestions appreciated!

Obviously, the DIS dads, but I'll assume you're all caught up on those. I don't have a lot of time to listen to a lot of them, but I really enjoy the WDW Today and WDW radio podcasts. Those are really the only ones I listen to though.

yeah, should have mentioned that I'm caught up on the dis dads... will give the other a shot though, haven't downloaded either of those in a while that I can remember... Thanks!

Well, I think I figured out how to manage a surprise, no frills, Dec. 2012 trip along with our Jan 2014 familypalooza trip, provided prices don't skyrocket between now and then. The two biggest hurdles (aside from saving the money) are:

1. Convincing my boss to let me off for most of a week during our busiest time of the year (I figure I'll offer to work the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years to take the edge off).
2. Saving up the extra money to offset DW losing a week of work due to non-paid vacation at her workplace.

Both of those should be pretty managable...I think....

No, David has off this weekend. He returns to action for the Lynchburg, VA, show. We get to see him in 2 weeks in NJ! Can't wait!:woohoo:

Nice Mike! Get us some more good videos!! My son loved the last ones you posted!

Driving! Even better! I wonder if you can leave your car at the Poly all day if you drive there for a morning reservation? Will they check?
you can drive over to the poly for your adr. when you get to the guard, tell him you have a resi and they will tell you were to park. they use to give you a three hour parkng pass.:thumbsup2

Dads I need some help. I just realized our ADR for Ohana is at 7:35am instead of 8:35am. MK does not open until 9am will the buses be running at 7am? It has been so long since we have been there I am having a brain fart.

If you take the bus from CBR you won't make it to your reservation.. It takes 15-20 minutes for them to make the resort loop. Then 30-45 min to get to TTC or MK. best to drive or take a cab. Park at the TTC it's still free for resort guests and the walk is really not bad. The hop on the monorail for MK after ADR in the GCH!:thumbsup2

Sure can... We did that on our arrival day. Our room at port Orleans wasn't ready, so we drove over to poly, had breakfast at kona, took the monorail to Epcot for the day. That Pm we rode the monorail back to poly and drove ourselves back to port Orleans . :thumbsup2

You're driving aren't you? Might want to just drive over to the TTC and save yourself $20.
We always drive for two reasons. 1) We don't want to be "those people" with a wheelchair on a bus and 2) it's less stress for us when we have to get around the World. We just drive to where we want to go and take advantage of free parking due to staying on campus.

Schedule your vacation as early as you can and start paying it off in little increments. It will need to be paid off 45 days before you go, but the prices are locked once you book.

Thanks guys! I think driving to the TTC will be our best bet for that day since it will be our last in MK.

I need some assistance from a CostCo member!

Costco has a phone system about $30 cheaper than my local Sam's Club and Sam's doesn't price match.

Was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me "borrow" their membership so I could save some $$.

ooohh....a begging for help saving money ownage!!!

On an aside, we have another warehouse store here called "BJ's" that we did a comparison shop at the other day and found that Sam's Club was 10-15% cheaper on almost everything we buy except for the pork chops, but Sam's Club pork chops are twice as thick. That pretty much does it for us - we'll stick with Sam's for now.

We share our account like this for friends at our church who can't afford a membership. :)

You looking to order online or purchase in-store? I've got a membership I'd be willing to share. Email me at my screen name here @disdads.com and we can figure out how to work the details.
