DW and I had this discussion last night, whether or not we'd head to WDW without the kids. I think we would, for all the reasons stated earlier, but not until they kiddos are a bit older...

Part of our problem with leaving the kids are there ages they are 11 and 9 and really at that fun age where you can really enjoy there reactions to everything. However we did have a really great long (12 days) family trip down their last year. I have been sharing the feedback I am getting from you guys with my DW and she is really feeling more peace about it also! At this point we probably will just go down for a adults only trip. :cool1:

Arron (AJRitz) or Mark (prattpak) since you guys are so instrumental in the production of our Podcast...

Could one of you start a Podcast Thread and in the first couple of post start an archive of links to the Show Notes and Downloads page on disdads.com?

I thought about starting it...but felt it would be better if one of you started the thread.

While the disdads.com site is nice most of our traffic is over here.

prattpak,
i'm fine. as is my family. Joplin / Neosho are what was badly hit, and I'm in St. Louis. (about 5 hrs away by car along hwy 44
one of the dads from MO (bigtikidaddy?) & ajritz are up closer to K.C., so they should be okay. I'm not sure on the Disney Fanatic

i'll multi-quote the stuff I was multi-quoting later... back to work for now, though.

There's an easy way to link to the whole list of previous podcasts with shownotes and download links. I'll start a thread.

Thanks Ryan! DW and I did are Honeymoon in Disney as well as our 10 year anniversary. Our experience on those 2 trips convinced me (and probably DW too) that I would be going down whenever I had the chance. :goodvibes

Speaking of TS meals they took out my favorite place to go for steak when they closed the Concourse Restaurant at the Contemporary. What TS meal is your favorite if you are going with just your wife?

I've never been there...but listening to Lou Mongello on WDW Radio...he seems to have fallen in love with the Blue Zoo over at the Dolphin.

Anyone that has ever listen to WDW Radio...knows Lou is a Foodie...and I suspect that if it is half as good as he says it is...it must be great.

He did a Live Review of it in Episode 204 <---Download and have a listen.

However if you are planning on using a Dining Plan...I don't think this resturant does the DDP.

Opps...I often write "Danke" instead of "Thanks"...German owned company and all....forgot where I was typing.

bluezoo is not on the DDP. BUT, if you check out Restaurants.com, you can sometimes get ridiculously good deals on gift certificates for many Swan/Dolphin restaurants, including bluezoo, Il Mulino, Kimonos, and sometimes even Shula's.

Thanks Nate! We will be on a QSD plan but for our anniversary we were planning on paying out of pocket for at least a couple of nice meals.

Still owe a TR from last year! :scared1: I have been kind of relying on my wife for that one but I know I need to do one myself. My wife is the details/planner type and she hasn't even finished hers yet.
If you want a good laugh (mostly at my expense :rotfl2: ) Take a look at her TR

its funny, i never really thought of this till the question was asked. the last 18 years have been a blur and lately dw and i have been thinking alot of the last 18 years, were getting old.:lmao: not that it was planned that way but we never went without her to most places.maybe every so often we would have a night out or a wedding to go to but all in all, she was with us. thankfully, shes been a good kid. i was the youngest of 5 with 3 brothers and 1 sister and i think girls mature faster. when she was 8,she thought she was 20.:lmao: theres good and bad in that.:lmao: we always said just tell her she going to eat and she would would sit through and listen to anything.:lmao: she started dancing at 3 years old so that took up alot of time and alot of travel. we had a 33 foot "camper" that we kept in a campground that we went to just about evey weekend, summer, winter, spring, fall from the time she was 3 till 13. so my point i guess is, we never really went away with out her either till she was older.:lmao: do we have a rambling on thread????:lmao:

DD 11: Ramble on! DW and I talked about going to WDW for our 10th anniversary, but did not go. We honeymooned there (no kids) and had a great time. We decided to leave the girls with my parents and spend the night at Holiday Inn. We both felt guilty after 1 night. We have had girls spend night w/ friends, I travel for work overnight, DW went with friends on cruise, but that was the only time all were apart at same time. Overprotective dad.

agree with above, this is the rambling thread! We have gone on one vacation without dd so far, a 4 day trip to Vegas a couple years back. DW felt guilty leaving her then, but as time goes by and she stays home with her all day, she's become much more amicable to leaving the girl for an adults only trip! Disney is a little tough though, even though we went together a lot pre-daughter, there is the guilt thing about going without her. I know we'll get over it in a few years when she's bigger though!

Ok, have to share. So, this new company I'm working at is obviously growing because another new hire started today. Her name is....wait for it.....here it comes....keep waiting....BEVERLY!!!....I had to restrain a laugh when I was introduced.....
