Wow, now that's different:confused3 The Pirates League will start to do Mermaid Makeovers:confused3 There Goes The Man Cave:eek:
They've had and "empress package" for quite a while now. My DD got it in December.

I see the Mermaid Makeover is only for a limited time. Hopefully she doesn't notice it when we're down in June...

Tomorrow is DW's birthday, (yes, you lurking, snooping DisMoms, we do remember occasionally =P ), gotta swing by Wallyworld after work and pick up a filing cabinet after work for her present (hey, she needs one!). DD is getting her a log cabin lego set. I just gotta figure out a what to make for her birthday dinner....

And if she's disappointed in getting things she wanted this year, next year I think I'll use the surprise trip as her present.

On a related note, Berry:cutie: will be happy to know that I'm taking DW our for karaoke Friday night, and we will have someone there to record me and a special friend singing a song from a naval disaster movie. I'll try to have it posted on here sometime this weekend.

:woohoo::woohoo:I can't wait to see it!

Oh, and the filing cabinet will be a great gift. Right up there with a vacuum cleaner and stair master.

Yesterday she chose tacos (she loves Taco Tuesday) and on Friday we are celebrating her birthday in style with pizza and brownies. (her choice) We are fortunate that she is understanding at a young age with all of the activities going on. Of course knowing her, I'll be hearing about this in 10 years as well. :rotfl2:
I can be there in 45 minutes. When do we eat?

You sir, are a lucky man!:thumbsup2
Thanks. :thumbsup2
You can blame Jack Frost. Years ago many of the major orange producers were between Ocala and Orlando. Driving south on the Turnpike in probably the only hills in Florida you passed through huge groves. I always loved driving through that area when the blossoms were out. The smell puts Soarin to shame. Florida got hit with a bad cold snap that devastated the trees. Many replanted thinking it was a once in a few decades cold spell. A couple of years later another one hit and killed off the replanted trees.

They said BEVERLY to this and replanted the groves south of Orlando. Now they are located in Indian River, Ft. Pierce, St. Lucie area. There are still stands along the 95 and Turnpike corridor there but not as many. You can even get free samples and order fruit at one of the Turnpike rest stops. You can also blame the Internet. Many producers sell their products on line instead.

I choose to blame the internet for everything. My family lives near Sebastian and the last time we visited it was sad to see how many of the groves there had been destroyed.

Hold on now, she's almost a keeper. A price comparison matrix in Word? Switch her over to Excel - then she's a keeper!
Fair enough, it was more list than matrix. At this point we aren't comparing that many things other than the price difference between taking my SIL's family in December or next September. My NIL turns two in Jan and we were trying to understand how much of an impact that will have.

We have an outside vendor in at work yesterday and today. I've been busy babysitting him and haven't been on here much. But the worst part was when someone mentioned to him that my boss is on vacation. He asked where and I told him Disney World. He responds "Disney World? That's not a vacation! Too expensive, too many people, always running from one thing to another and never getting to rest." Clearly, he's not one of us.

Sit him down at lunch and bring printouts of all your trip reports. Hum IaSW while he reads. Make him read them until he swears he's a Disney fan and pledges allegiance to the mouse.

Or if your sane you could do what Ian advises.

I enjoy talking to those people - showing them what we do and how we afford it. Explaining that the most common mistake is taking only a single day at the park or attempting to find a way to justify every dollar spent. Once you explain that it's not a financial and time-constricting challenge, but an investment where you are building memories that will last a lifetime, a decision where you only stay for a day or so or try to wrestle with your wallet to gain the most "fun" out of the day seems pointless.
Well if you wanted and intelligent, reasonable strategy you could do that.

Of course maybe some people just aren't Disney people and that diversity could be the result of a variety of societal and psychological inputs.

Mer-men?:confused3

I remember when I was young and we drove to WDW, we used to pass a ton of places that sell oranges in Fla, and in VA you could buy smoked ham, seems like you really have to hunt for such places now:confused3

We always bring my dad back a big bag of oranges home when we go to WDW, but the places to buy them are few and far between, these places usally have the best selection of random Beverly going:yay:

ron, do you remember the places that sold oranges and grapefruits were shaped like a big orange?? :lmao: there was still one of them on rt192 a few years ago. im not sure if its still there.

anyone come up with a disdads tattoo idea yet?????:confused3 come on, im gettin the itch for ink!!!!:lmao:

Would love to see the designs for this! How many would get one, I wonder???

when the lic. plate came out, someone ask who would get the first tattoo? ive been looking to get another one.:thumbsup2 even if someone could work with the one i already have, i would do that also.:thumbsup2

it may be a little hard to come up with a generic tattoo. with a tattoo, after ten years you cant call the dmv and have it changed, its there forever. the one i have now of mm,came from a back of a coloring book.:lmao: i wanted to get a portrait of my dd on my leg but the portrait tattoos tend to get large because of all the detail it takes to make them look good. id love to get the dvc logo on the back of my head.:lmao:

Oh, I forgot to mention that I refuse to fix whatever is broken until they hear me out. It makes them far more receptive to listening to me. :thumbsup2

Very good point. I only have one, and I got it when I was 17. Don't regret it, but if I had to do it over again, I'd probably get a different design...

As far as the dvc logo on your head? Priceless!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Day's been going pretty good so far, getting good feedback from the new client interviews I've been doing on Swap Shop, and the local pasty joint had my favorite pasty on sale today, Bacon Cheeseburger! *gurgle*
