ahhh, I get it now, I noticed how much slower the board had been moving the last few days and thought it had to do with all this new ground to cover on the forum. See us Floridians don't think in terms of seasons, we only have two, Summer and that one week in January.

Unfortunately Disney schedules the marathon for that week in January....

Dave you never told us the name of that rubber tape:confused3

its made by shuretape. ill have to get the number of it. ill try to find out what "name" they sell the tape under to the retail stores. it may not even gotten that far yet. we sell about 8 dif. types of tape alone just for metal duct work. theres another 6 types for fiber duct work. tape thats sold to wholesale hvac suppliers has numbers and not really a name but let me find out. i have some here at home if you want a pic. its close to a good electrical tape buts its 2 inches wide.

A really good day today. Got everything that needed to be done just after noon. DD was at the beach with friends so I had the place to myself. Dinner was home-made fried chicken and pasta salad. The desert is a NCIS marathon tonight. I am feeling like a Red River Hog in mud.

Gibbs: Gear up.
A guy tried to outrun a 2 ton bomb.

Kate: What happened?

Gibbs: He lost.

I am one tired camper. Worked until 0100 this morning on a project that I didn't know about until the middle of last week but because so many departments were involved I couldn't help but work on it. Up at 0700, get everyone ready, take DS to a Young Marines community service event, go to Miracle League, set everything up, get breakfast, do my reading, shoot the first two games and manage everything else on the field. Then at 1100 my wife and I head to my friends' graduation party (finally got his M.Div) - eat food, take pictures of his family since it's probably the last time they'll all be together, then go back to the MLT field around 1300. DS is back at the field at this point, so we relieve everyone who has been covering for us while we've been at the party and I take more pictures at the field. I stop shooting around 1530 because of rain. Rain clouds keep showing up randomly throughout the day by 1600 we're discussing whether to continue playing. If we SEE lightning we have to call it but so far no one sees anything but we did have a 5 minute rain delay. We finish the game and start the last game of the day. Radar shows a HUGE storm (purple- light and dark) surrounding the field and building all of the place but we're able to play the game with only a little drizzle and a few quick showers. We clean up the field and it's starts to downpour.

Moral of the story? 1) God is sovereign. 2) I'm really tired.

Oh yeah, and my DD was babysitting while she was running the store all day. That was fun.

One more week to go then we take a break until the fall. It's a lot of fun and we love working with the kids but it gets hard working a full time job, my side job, and this one at the same time. It's nice when the season draws to a close.

Next weekend we have our "home run derby" where the kids get their trophies and everyone gets a home run. Looking forward to this all season! It's going to be a lot of fun.

Until then, I just finished editing 100 keepers (out of 215 taken - I may take four or five of a specific shot but only keep the best) and started uploading them. Whee!

Now it's time for family reading and bed. All in all, a great night.

Goodnight, DDC Nation!

The mail came today, and look what I found in it:

What a day today! For some reason, people drink way more on weekends, go figure. Morning clicked along just fine, but this afternoon got hairy. My co-worker was crouching down, palcing champagne on a shelf, when a bottle slipped from her hand, fell and basicly exploded, sending a good piece of glass at her face cutting a HUGE gash across her right cheek. I missed all this, as it was my lunch break, and I was sitting out the back door listening to the Disdad podcast, never noticing the boss rushing her to the hospital. I was informed when I got back, and one idiot co-worker told me these stupid exaggerations of the incident so I could write up the report (I am the store's Health and Safety rep). I waited till the boss came back and got the real story, we filed the reports. Still scary stuff, it took 18 stitches to close the wound.

I hope she's alright, and it doesn't leave a scar:scared1: When soda used to come in 64oz glass bottles we used to call them bombs. I'm kind of surprised that more alcohol is not bottled in plastic bottles:confused3

plastic would change the taste as it is more 'breathable' than glass is. But I agree, plastic would be much safer.

I give up on trying to word this in a modest way. What ever I say is going to let everyone know it was me. So I will simply say you're welcome, and I am really glad that the point will help make your trip a little more magical.
Btw, where did you get the count down do-dad?

I believe it was www.**************
