Can I pleeeaze be in the Dis Dad's Club?

I've memorized the bylaws, practiced the secret handshake, and know the entry password backwards and forwards. . .

DIS name: wmson2000
Real name: John
Home base: Lancaster PA - close to Hershey Chocolatetown, neighbor of Amish folk
Trips to DL & DW: 15'ish
Most recent trip to pay tribute to the Mouse: Feb 2011
Next trip: March 2012, for 14 people (Wife and I, 3 married daughters, 6 grandkids)
Favorite attraction: Star Tours (old, haven't seen the new one yet)
Value I can bring to the DIS Dad's Club: uh . . . I make pretty good brownies??

I'm not a fan, either. My favorite fruit-flavored snack arrived in the mail yesterday, just in time for Father's Day. I'll try and get a picture posted later. The guys on FB will know what I'm talking about... :rolleyes1
I think I do recall something about that... Let us know how it is! :thumbsup2

Hellooooo everyone. I'm relatively new around here and thought I would join the party, if you'll have me. I've been lurking on the forums for a while now and thought I would step up and say hey.

We are planning our first family trip Dec 4-11 and we are very much looking forward to it. Both the wife and I have been to WDW a handful of times each but this will be the first for my sons.

I've come to the conclusion that there just isn't time enough in the day to keep up with every thread on the various boards. There are a TON of people here with some seriously substantial experience at all things Disney. It's become my go to source of up-to-date information as well as some laughs.

So with that said, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances and I look forward to sharing and learning over these coming days and weeks.

Welcome to the club, glad you decided to stop by. I'm going to miss you by a day in December, we head home on the third.

Of course you can. Welcome aboard John. There's a fairly large Tri-State contingent already in the club. I’m sure that they’ll be around to give you a second welcome in a while. Feel free to bring in a batch of those brownies some time (wait… they don’t still sell chocolate flavored Ex-Lax do they? Maybe we better pass on the brownies)

Is that IASW that I see in the background of your avatar (and unless I’m mistaken, which happens rather often, the one in DL at that)?

(best not to point that out to Fed)

Not only does it look likes DL IASW, it looks like it's decked out for Christmas.

You knock one Canadian into a stanchion and severely injure him...;)

More importantly, Chara holding the trophy up was the highest it's ever been held in a post-game celebration. :thumbsup2
:lmao::lmao:
Not a huge twizzlers guy myself. Swedish fish is where it's at...
got the big bag from sams of swidish fish in the van for the trip!:thumbsup2

Yes, IASW in DL - 2009 New Years trip

Very cool. :thumbsup2 <=== Thumb

One of our most knowledgeable members put together a thread dedicated to Disneyland. It’s one of the stickys at the top of our main forum. Having been there yourself, you’d probably enjoy rummaging through that one and reliving the memories.

Are they "special" brownies? :lmao: Welcome aboard John. :thumbsup2<-----thumb

Likely tens of thousands... :lmao: :lmao:

Assuming Matt is somewhere in the Neighborhood of 40 years old, and we take the low side of your estimate (20,000 times, given the pluralization of "tens"), He would have had to have heard a variation of that joke roughly 1.4 times a day, or almost 10 times a week for it to be tens of thousands. I'm going to stick with 100's, but will leave the door open. Matt, can you please confirm?

jk... bored over here...

Nice! Now I'll envy both your trip and your trip-snacks! :thumbsup2 (<=== def thumbs!)

Great point on the DL thread. Stopher really put some effort into that, and it shows. A def. read if you haven't stopped over there. :thumbsup2
