Just missed it!

And congrats on Order of the Arrow! Did you finish your ticket for woodbadge yet?

Thanks!

Almost.... 4 of 5 are done. The 5th is half way finished. The second half is in the final collection process now (surveys of newly crossed over families) and I'm starting the analysis process now. I'll be reporting on the findings to the Committee next week, and then by early to mid-May I'll be ready to provide the final report to my Ticket Counselor for final sign-off. Then it's time to schedule my Beading Ceremony! :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

OK...soooo I've had this Hubble Picture of the Butterfly Nebula as my Desktop background at work for months...and was wondering if y'all think this looks like a Hidden Mickey...Profile...not a classic °o°

A little thirsty too, huh?

there was a kid that drank 2 of those one night.:scared1: he was about 15, the waiter all most fell over.:lmao:

Sorry...it was a joke from another forum....I'll hide in the corner now..:guilty:

Oh Fed, I'm just teasing really. But see how easy it is to get a bunch of guys hyped up and excited about something? You have inspired us all in so many different ways through the past couple of years... what with your ownage, the spinners on your boat trailer, fishing from inside the lake, getting #18.... and we all know your secret desire to drive a mini-van does exist, even if you won't admit it! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:  we all love ya in such a manly way. Where would we all be without you? Caught speeding on the 75 through GA no doubt. (I put the fear of God into my DW last week and absolutely refused to go more than 2 above the speed limit all through that blame state as we drove home - and would not let her do any more either when it was her shift).

I'll take cash, credit or Disney dollars. :thumbsup2
medicade, medicare or any other major insurance plan. please have your deductable at time of visit. :lmao: sorry doc, couldnt resist. did anyone evey try to pay there visit with disney dollars?

So okay - this whole phenomenon of "ownage" began with our good friend Fed several threads ago. What exactly is it that is so special about getting that first post on a page? :confused3 Pardon the lack of clarity on my part here... and my fun dousing, but what's the big deal, really, about one stinking little post at the top of the page? Hmmm? I think Steve had a good idea many moons ago (or at least about 250-300 pages ago in the last thread... I don't think anyone "owns" a page until they've been able to completely fill up one entire page by themselves. Just sayin'... and no, I haven't been successful at that myself... so no need to think I have.

So there you go... I've laid down the gauntlet... who's willing to take up the challenge and make it happen? :cool2: I'm curious to see who it will be... :rolleyes1
You were close when you finished out DD7. On the next to the next to the last page you had 13 out of 15 posts. Yes.... I am the keeper of pointless information

Okay - so here's the story. It's all about eyes, how they perceive objects, and how the brain works. When you open a page the first thing your eye goes to is to whose name/avatar is on the top. Mentally you keep track of this for sorting later. "Where was that post on farting? Oh yeah, it was on the page with Nate on top." Therefore whoever posts first "owns" the page because it's "your" page where the content is found.

That said, pop on around 0230 EDT and you'll be able to "own" as many pages as you want. :)

Remember guys, Mother's Day is less than a month away. Make sure your kids do something nice for the most important girl in their lives. I decided to do a Shutterfly photo book for my DW with pictures from every trip to WDW that we've done. I'm going through and picking out pictures to use. I'm only on our 3rd trip and I've got enough to fill 3 books! :scared1: Looks like I've got to start whittling it down a little bit.
That's a great idea. A couple years ago, while my wife was in Denver for my grandma's funeral, we drove around on one Sunday and took pictures all over town holding a cardboard sign. I photoshopped them all together and put the words "We love you very much" on the cardboard, then printed it at my local printer for $1. My kids picked out the frame (16x20 I think) and we put it in and someone else held onto it until Christmas (because I couldn't wait to give it to her). It worked out really well and she was very happy with it. On the minus side, I've yet to equal that for tear factor.

That's what I get for making our 12th Christmas together memorable... Dang it! Now I've got 88 more to go and I have to come up with something memorable soon because I think I'm about done skating on this last one!

Very true.... and oh yeah, who was the one with the most posts on that thread? Hmmm? Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

That's right. It was me. By a landslide.

Excellent reminder there Barry! Thanks for that. Sunday, May 8th

My kids will be on their own this year - at least during the morning hours - as I'll be on a campout that weekend... gonna have to make sure they are set and ready to go before I leave on Friday. Been nominated in to the Order of the Arrow (Boy Scout National Honor Society), and that unfortunately, is the weekend of the Ordeal campout / ceremony for induction. My eldest was on this campout last year... and my youngest son (hopefully) will be on this campout next year... so sadly it won't be "complete" at home until I return home around noonish. Silly how the Council schedules this campout on the same weekend every year - for the past 50 or so years - and causes boys and husbands to miss out on part of the Mother's Day fun. But then we also schedule Summer Camp for Father's Day week every year too... so there you go. That nice family values centric organization is not quite so family friendly at times. Whatever. MY mother lives in another state, and my kids will honor THEIR mother, so it's all good.
My wife will be stuck in Bismarck N. Dakota for Mother's Day. THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!!!!
I say let it flood! Gives Fed more area to fall out of a boat...I meant, fish!

Don't let the term 'ownage' bother you. We all know you are the Ultimate Posting God of the DisDad Threads. :worship:

Page ownage is our way of not being such an insignificant part of the thread every now and then. :happytv:

That's a nice little theory there Ian... but I don't buy it. I think it has more to do with egos and the like. Dominating the playground. King of the Hill stuff. Personally I don't really pay attention to WHOSE post is first... I just pay attention to who's tooting their horn about being first and who isn't. Just call me the keeper of useless trivia (like Ryan is as well)

How did you pay for that? Doc is accepting cash & gift cards... but don't send him the Disney Dollars, they're being discontinued.

Mine are signed by the mouse himself so they're still good.

Were you a Scout as a youth? An Eagle?

I wasn't a Boy Scout, just a Cub Scout. But I'm having a ball as an adult Scouter! We have an awesome Troop that my sons are involved with. My eldest is a Life, working on putting together plans for his Eagle project, and my younger son is 1st Class working on Star.
