Noper. Fwiw, I do, in my copious "spare time", graphic design work. One of the businesses that I do this work for asked me to build a logo for a few fake photography businesss. Examples:

I started work on another logo by the name of "Jackwagon Photography" with a camera hanging off the barrel of a tank. That one, uh... well... let's just say that it wasn't well received. Guess that's what I get for making logos after playing Bad Company 2.

I figured as much - most of the guys on here have some type of tech job or technical ability.

I have our network setup to filter everyone else's PC and leave mine alone!!

It's called being to only one in this whole Ford Dealership that knows anything about networks or PC's for that matter!

I get paid to do Finance work but my job security comes with my PC repair, network administration, and overall technical savvy!

All this with a Marketing degree...

In other news, I still need to find a way to listen to DIS Radio at work. Option 1 would be that I could move my desk closer to a window and get access to a cell signal but that's probably not gonna happen. Hmm...

You could try and figure out a way to boost the signal on your phone. Not sure if it works but some people say that simply attaching the USB cable to an iphone can increase the signal. They also make those sticker things for the back of the phone (not sure if those are snake oil or not as reviews seem to be mixed). I looked to see if there was a way to make a "can-tennna" for phones but haven't seen one.

The worst part is, my manager will ask a question, I'll answer/explain/show, he'll do it once and then next time just give it to me or the accountant in the office because he doesn't know how... nor does he care to actually learn. He doesn't seem to know how to use any of our business software to deal with customer accounts or things of that sort, but he's pretty good at checking his e-mail. He and I are on a lot of the same e-mail lists, and he'll read something that he thinks is important and tell me about usually a half hour after I read it, or he'll forward it to me. Annoys the heck out of me!

You can trust yourself to not visit some of "those sites" or click on random things resulting in several hours work removing spyware and viruses.

I can so relate to this! I'm constantly telling these guys how to do something more than once! Half the time - they know I'll end up just doing it for them. I know...I'm an enabler!

I've tried about everything I can think of. I work in the basement of a solid concrete and steel building near the computer room. The only way we have signal here is by use of Verizon repeaters that are placed throughout the building which is great if you're on Verizon.

Yeah, my problem is that he's the manager... what do I do, tell him to do it himself? I like getting paid so I deal with it, but it is annoying. At least people recognize it though. He's always referring everything to someone else, so I've been asked by customers and managers at other locations what he actually does. They get it, so it is at least rewarding that my efforts are recognized by some.

HA! You wrote this and posted it while I was typing mine up! Back in the late 90's when I was cutting my teeth on technical support helpdesks I actually worked for Packard Bell handling support calls (literally walking end users through debug to clear viruses - ) and I had my fair share of users who used their mice as foot pedals or cdrom trays as cupholders.

Beat ya. But Scott beat us both. This is the constant for all support/ sys admins. Life would be much easier without users.

My favorite is when they PRINT OUT an Email message from the list (usually on at least three pages of paper, due to the way Outlook formats things) and then put a sticky note on it that says something like, "Look into this" or "Do we have this issue?"
